PRS Guitar Collaboration Jam 2024 | mike KidLazy's part
A few weeks ago I was invited by @Moakalatte to participate in this year's PRS Guitar Owners Worldwide collaboration video celebrating the 68th birthday of Mr Paul Reed Smith, the creator of the awesomest guitars in the world! I obviously couldn't refuse so I went ahead and played a few notes on top of a backing track along with other guitarists to showcase our amazing PRS guitars.
It's nothing special as I'm not a virtuoso or anything and I tend to focus more on melody than on technique, but I did have a lot of fun putting together and playing this small lead part. Plus, I took this collab invitation as a challenge and as an opportunity for me to go a bit outside of my comfort zone, as you know this is not exactly the genre that my channel is mainly focused on.
And last but not least, this is my very first video with this beauty (and beast) of a guitar, called PRS SE CE 24! So if the audio sucks, at least you'll have what to enjoy watching! 😆

No problem, I got this one back in January and I've only played it in this big PRS collab video so far, so it hasn't got too much exposure on the channel. Not yet 🙂. The full video with all the participants came out in February on PRS' birthday but it wasn't on my channel.
It's very interesting that they call this finish "Blood Orange", although to me it looks more like blood than orange. In real life the color is pretty dark actually, but it looks absolutely amazing on camera, so I decided to keep it in the end 😂. And I'm planning to use the tremolo on this one, too. Only need to get some time to properly set it up. Thinking about maybe adding a Tremol-No device to help keep the tuning stability when I won't be using the whammy bar. I'm also thinking about replacing the black pickup rings with cream ones and maybe the black knobs with some amber ones. Still thinking about this though.
