I feel this sport would be a lot more widely known, and more respected, if they found another label for it. This is a stunning level of athleticism, physicality, strength and trust, and it deserves a name that reflects that fact.

The best chance for increasing the popularity and respect given to this sport is, in reality, probably RUclips.
Yeah honestly it’s not cheerleading anymore, which is cool in its own right. But this is something more like gymnastics. I know it’s an evolution but without the pom poms and the “cheering” it’s something else.
Or maybe we should stop seeing "girly things" as bad and mind our own business.

@@rncine Naw, it's always a good joke . The coming Paris Olympics would be great for public exhibition of parkour and maybe cheer too . Parkour is French and cheer is another good American choice to rival it . Just my own insignificant thoughts.

The man lifting must be fatigued. That was hard work.
Not that hard. They fill those girls with helium…..her normal weight is 120 but due to the floating effect of helium her net weight during this act is around 6 pounds. Hydrogen would be even better but there is a risk that a spark or cigarette would set her off.

Everytime i see one of these, and especially this one, i am struck by the tremendous strength and skill of the guy and the extraordinary grace and aplomb of the girl. Amazing that we have thousands of lunatics who could look at this performance and still maintain that guys can become gals and gals can become guys or that there is no difference between the sexes.

Growing up is truly appreciating and respecting cheerleading. I don't understand why when I was a kid if a guy was in cheerleading it was considered "gay". It's truly a real sport that takes great strength from both the men and woman who can do this.
