Props to the keyboard guy backing up Seths brother. 🙌
Yes, perfect backing!
put some respect on eli janney’s name!!
Let’s hear it for Keyboard Guy and Some Other Dudes, the least known band on late night TV! 👏
Seth, keep up this Thanksgiving tradition.
The brother gets more like Seth the older he gets!!
Ever notice how most most people who are vegan are also overweight. Is it from the food they choose to eat or are they sneaking cheeseburgers behind everyone’s back ?
@@arthurlambert6418 nice try. But I've seen "skinny fat vegetarians and vegans
he's what the offspring of Seth and Matthew McConaughey would look like
Perhaps it’s Seth who has been changing?
Or, maybe they’re just developing their “Insmouth Look” from the Sea Captain’s Lovecraftian influence.
@@ruthbennett7563 😂🤣🤣😆😆
Josh’s pants matching the couch with the cuffs aligned with the bottom of the upholstery soothes parts of me I didn’t know I had. Is this what feng shui feels like?
I love this tradition so much. I look forward to it each year. Seth's entire family is funny.
My oldest daughter is vegan, so for Thanksgiving we had a table full of side dishes. Everyone contributed something meat free. I made rice pilaf cooked in vegetable broth. There was also lentil loaf, mashed potatoes, chutney, cornbread, and two desserts: pumpkin pie and apple crumble. Going vegan does not mean going without flavor.
Absolutely not. I wish more people understod this. And also, for everything you exclude, in this case the turkey for example you normally add something else that have the same or similiar nutritional value and taste as delicious. The only thing you are really excluding from your diet as a vegan is the killing and suffering of animals.
Yummy!
That's so awesome--I bet your daughter loved you for it all the more. The side dishes are the best part anyway--I think there was a recent survey that 2/3rds of people prefer the side dishes at Thanksgiving to the main course.
That's way excessive in my book. Unless someone has an allergy or medically necessary dietary restriction, I don't do anything special. Don't eat meat, fine there's plenty of sides that are meatless. Vegan? Not cooking for you. Butter is a necessity. I'd die before giving up cooking with butter.
That's so sweet! What a great way to show love and support to your daughter. It's always been my firm belief that T-day is all about mashed potatoes, (mushroom/onion) gravy and corn. Anything else is fine, but clearly playing second fiddle. The idea of everyone making and contributing to a big spread is delightful, especially when it is all veggie focused.
If you want to get down to it, it's a *harvest* holiday anyway, not a slaughtering holiday. Emphasizing the squash, potatoes, corn, etc. is really speaking to the tradition of the day, and showing great hospitality, is of course about giving thanks.
Blessings to you and your family.
What a hoot this clan is! Josh looks like a saner version of Seth but he's even nuttier (pun intended). Love it.
Seth’s brother is a big personality himself👏🏻🥰🥰😊
I love the fact that Seth loves his family so much. Adorable. His mom is hilarious! Lol
The brothers really came from the same mould. Incredible.
I've been a vegan for six years, I'm laughing and crying at the same time. Thank you Josh! And thank you, Seth, for giving your brother a platform to say important things that are mostly suppressed by mainstream media.
Yes! Vegan since 2018, and the food is getting better all the time - go tvp!
yes, so funny!
I've been vegan for 23 years, and I can tell you it just gets better and better every year!
@@emc1694 yep we have been vegetarian for many years and now totally vegan for over a year!
Vegan for 34 years now. Never regretted it once. Easily one of the best decisions I ever made. Also, I still get carded for alcohol sometimes. It's a win win!
What a fun family. I'm here for the vegan anthem too. You can tell they all love each other and I bet they have a lot of fun together.
Wow, the song was so on point and huge respect for pulling it off! It's courageous to talk about the truth that makes so many uncomfortable.
He didn’t pull it off. It was spoken.
Do you honestly (and I mean HONESTLY) think it makes "so many" uncomfortable? Surely you must know that those of us who eat meat do so with zero qualms or reservations. You must know that. Do you imagine that "so many" of us eat meat through a fog of uncertainty? I'm not even saying your position is wrong. It's admirable enough. I just wonder if you really think a significant number of meat eaters are just powering through guilt to choke it down. That isn't the case. I will say that your position on his delivery of the song is wrong. He flubbed it pretty badly which explains the deafening silence until he was done. 🤷♂️
@@TroubleToby3040 Wow dude all those hormones in meat and dairy making you extra sensitive or what? And while I agree that not every meat eater feels guilt as you stated, I can say unequivocally that everyone hates someone named Toby.
@@thepaulusmaximus Putting aside the fact that my name isn't Toby, look back at our two comments and see which one comes off as "sensitive". I certainly didn't throw out the word "hate". The ugliest word in the English language. I mean, you went to "hate" for a stranger offering a dissenting (but respectful) opinion to another person. You went straight to "hate" in the same comment in which you accuse someone else of being "sensitive". 🤦♂🤦♂🤦♂️
Towards the end of his life (1937?), Hitler became vegetarian. Good boy. But seriously how come cow farts make more noise than the elephant's fart in the room aka the military industrial complex?
The real problem is GREED. Eating meat every f***ING day....
Josh’s vegan song is totally awesome!!! (And true.) He’s got stage presence, too. Keep an eye on him, Seth!
Josh is also an actor.
@@dancepiglover Yes, loved him on The Mindy Project!
Josh might take over from James Corden. The Battle of The Meyer Brothers!
I think josh was on Mad Tv before Seth was on snl.
@@michaelrmurphy2734 personally I want Amber Ruffin to take over as only having her on one day a week is not enough! but that aside, it'd be tremendous fun if those brothers were constantly making digs at each other and perhaps randomly switch shows or such!
i love your family and smiled all the way through it. thank you josh for the vegan song
As a vegan of six years this song made me proud, thanks and congrats to bby bro josh
This vegan of fifteen years thinks the same.
"...is that the same nut?" 😆
The vegan song is great. He’s really talented.
Josh looks so much like his bro. He stumbled a bit at first, but he owned it.
Nah, I don't see any resemblance at all...😂
I have literal tears 🤣🤣🤣🤣 "moral superiority"
I love this thanksgiving tradition! ❤
This was so much fun to watch!!! I really think we need more Josh! Absolutely loved his song and stage presence 😍💜💜💜
It’s good to know if something happens to Seth, the show can pretty much go on seamlessly with his brother instead, I bet some people wouldn’t even notice
We had Gardein turk'y cutlets for Thanksgiving!
I love their mom so much! Clearly she's the source of the comedic gene in the family
Seth better make sure she has her gin and tonic - not soda! - when she visits. She deserves nothing but the best!
And she taught French too!
She looks like Seth when she laughs.
I don't know, dads pretty funny too.
@@TheScreamingFrog916 he's hysterical about his English sheepdogs
Wow, this family is such a hoot! Their little mock play at the beginning, pretending to have Dad tell a story while obliviously on mute! 😆
and that whole bit about the nut: "is that the SAME nut?!" So cute & fun!
This song. On point.
Thanksgiving isn’t a thing here, but I’ll steal and modify this song for xmas. Thank you Josh!
Resounding BRAVO to you Joshie!!! 🌱🌱🌱
We love you and can’t wait to hear you sing again next Thanksgiving!
Josh and Seth have the same laugh, where have I been ? Never seen the Thanksgiving family reunion before, I have now, a super sweet family 😊
Go back and watch all the years past…it’s so good.
At least the second year they have done this. Last year was funny too!
Always a treat to see the Meyers family! Josh really came into his own on this one 😂
Seth's mom's face during this whole nut part was EVERYTHING 😂😂😂
Always great to see the brothers together!
The miraculous almond that lasted eight bites. 😂
I think a song needs to be written about it... It can be the vegan Christmas song. lol!
@Earthlings United, bravo. Let's get together for drinks.
Vegan for 10 years in May and I loved this!
Josh needs a show!
the whole band just sitting there while the keyboard half-heartedly accompanies really adds to the bit i love it
Aw man!
Josh left me hanging there! l really wanted to hear a verse about how weird humans drinking milk is to a vegan. 😞🥛👨🎤
A verse about vegan vampires and more seriously one about breast feeding.
It’s too disturbing so probably couldn’t be aired…
@@maboelnreads you're absolutely right. Baby should go on hunger strike. NO MORE BREAST FEEDING!!! Fun fact, Hitler became vegetarian toward the end of his life (1937?). So many innocent lives saved.
Btw, the carbon /toxicity boot print of the elephant in the room aka the military industrial complex Maboeln?
I think the vegan bumper sticker goes "not your mom, not your milk". Loved the number.
I was watching a video this afternoon. Japanese did not start drinking milk
or eating meat until about 150 years ago. Now Westerners want to stop eating meat!
Amazing. Thanks for putting the truth out there with a sense of humor! 🤗
Josh’s laugh at 0:33 sounds EXACTLY like Seth. 😳 love the song!!! I’m vegetarian (about 95% vegan, we’re gettin there) and in the wise words of Jake Peralta, “turkey tastes like napkins” 😂
Same. It's the cheese that slays me.
@@lw3269 EXACTLY. 😭 it’s the only thing I’d miss, although Annie’s does make a really good vegan mac and cheese. :)
@@lw3269 When you struggle with this kind of thing it can be helpfull to watch videos from slaughterhouses and so on. Seeing reality can help with the cravings. Cheese seems to create the same response in the brain as suger so its not difficult to understand how it can be hard to stop eating it. I have found a lot of vegan cheeses that I love though, even more than the cowcheese I used to eat. Love brands like Greenvie, Violife and Oddlygood but dont know if they are available where you are 🙂
I'll go vegan when they figure out how to grow steak in a lab.
lol turkey does taste like napkins I'll give you that. Good for you! i got as far as giving up pork
I love this soooo much! Thank you Josh - we are all vegan here, including 79 year old grandma - and many happy thanksgivings without any animals or animal products on our plates! Golden rule karma life rocks!
I remember josh during his mad tv days even before Seth was on air on snl
Me, too. He was GREAT. It would have been great if SNL had him on a skit with Seth because he is an actor/comedian.
love the Vegan song!
Love Seth's family. So sweet.
I need this support, I have to eat less meat, because I get kidney stones.
There's so much else to eat and it's even more delicious... I'm here to help if you have any questions or need recipes. 🤗
@@PleaseDontEatAnimals Thanks! Happy Holidays ❤
@@TheScreamingFrog916 Happy Hollerdaze to you as well! 😁
Awesome song Josh!! 👍👏🌱
"...but I wrote a verse about they like me...can I sing that one?..."
"...we are out of time..."
"...TWO...THREE...FOUR..."
Grey's Vegan Thanksgiving and now Josh's song. I think I might have a bona-fide playlist pretty soon.
I really like to watch your family seth.
The crowd had no appreciation for this song but I’m so glad he did it!
That song was fantastic! I love Seth's family.
Finally, we have a Thanksgiving song to rival such great and iconic Christmas songs as, none of them.
Their dad is SO funny 😂😂😂😅
Clever lyrics 👌
I love ya Seth but I think Josh just became my favorite Meyer brother! Hugs❤
Love that your brother is a compassionate human being! #VeganForLove ❤️ great song too
Watching Seth's family on Thanksgiving is as much fun and as much of a tradition as spending time with my own family.
Keep going. I wanna talk about milk! Lol I love seeing everyone just having fun!
Love the song!!! 1000% on point even the nut break, raw and unsafe baby!!!
They didn't introduce their other brother, Michael. He's very active around Halloween, not so much for Thanksgiving.
I want to spend Thanksgiving with the Meyers!
This was the best episode ever, in my not humble (vegan) opinion. Lot's of laughing out loud.
Seth, your brother is so cool and so talented. He's such a great actor and comedian, and he's so good looking! I honestly had no idea at all that he absolutely can not sing a note. Man that was hard to get through!
It was perfection.
Well this is f****** refreshing. My biggest gripe with you Seth has always been your ignorance on veganism and poking fun at it when it's not even difficult to be vegan these days so hearing your brother is vegan and you guys accommodating him is super sweet to hear.
Been vegan 34 years. Keep it up Josh.
Damn. Congrats. I'm at 26 years. It's always fun watching people's jaws drop.
No, he said he's been a vegan nearly three years, I think.
@@Hijodelaisla The OP wasn't commenting on Josh, but rather himself ["(I've) been vegan (for) 34 years."]. Yes, Josh said he has been keeping vegan for nearly three years.
Boooooooooo
@@tammyd.970 How odd. People are so self-referential.
His dad is so funny ❤ that's where he gets his humor from
Excellent song, Josh!! Bravo!! 👏
Also, of course, the accompanist was perfect. Well done!!
Loved this, and yes I dont think most people would like to know whats really in the milk they are consuming. Keep in mind, its not for humans and especially not for adults. It was meant for calfs in order for their bodies to build a lot of muscle mass and gain that weight of around 1400 pounds.
Haha I'm going to blast this every year, thank you so much
I must remember this song for next year!
Being vegan myself, this made me very happy.
According to you, should Inuit, Yupik, Nanuvut.... Eat ice cubes?
@@lorenzoblum868 Only if they want to.
@@heidigone I'm sure they do. Just like I'm sure cow farts are more dangerous than all the pollutions due to the military industrial complex. 🤣🤣🤣
@@lorenzoblum868 Being vegan makes sense if you're not an indigenous people depending on hunting to survive. It's all about being the less ethically and climatically impactful as possible while staying reasonable - which is possible in at least most western countries.
@@6p00l what does not make sense is focusing on cow farts while blowing or manufacturing bombs. It's called GASLIGHING.
It was the nut for me😂 (vegan since 2010 vegetarian 03) also check the broth bro, always check the broth
10% of the US population is vegan or vegetarian.
Had another vegetarian Thanksgiving this year with my family, and didn't miss out on anything. Plus, saved a life 🤗
Just because you didn't eat turkey, doesn't mean a life was saved.
@@christinebenson518 Sure it does. Because if I/we ate a dead animal, that would be 1 more dead animal.
Don't try to absolve your own guilt of killing a sentient and intelligent being, because you can't, and you DID kill it for a single meal (and when you didn't need to, as humans don't NEED to eat dead animals).
Weird. I thought they said Josh was going to sing... but it was a lovely, well tempoed and varied volume poem!
Josh seems like the kid who’s mom put the towel in the dryer to warm it up before he got out of the bath tub 😏
More Josh please !
I love how much they look alike.
I’m a vegan 🌱 and I approve that singing message 😅😂
Rhyming earth/girth, I did that too:
Sunlight is the source, of all the food that's on the earth.
And I feel no remorse, eating only plants. I lost my girth!
That’s was fantastic!🎉
Go Josh...I'm with you! Great job!
Josh is so great!! ❤
Love this guy's laugh so much 💜
Seth is so down to earth.
I just can't keep the thought out of my mind, Josh is a mix between Seth and Matthew McConauhey.
Vegan for 3 yrs, loved your song Josh. Wonderful family, explains Seth's humor.
Best vegan song I've ever heard 🤣
how many have you heard?
This is my first and greatest😂
As a fellow vegan, i'm living for this representation
Vegan for the animals! Thanks for this.
Fantastic song......lol Thank you Josh xxxx
Woohoo vegans are the most thankful ones on Thanksgiving indeed! Way to go Josh!!!! Thanks Seth.
We love Josh Meyers!!! (Literally thought Breckin Meyer was Seth's only brother til I saw Josh years ago)
that was hilarious! great song Josh!
That song was as anemic as he is 🤣
Kidding, it was adorable
😸
Phenomenal message with a humorous twist, Bravo!
Lol. Great song!! Love it!!
I never knew Josh is this funny! Seth's family are all very fun and likeable, just like him!

That's who I thought he was at first!
@@PleaseDontEatAnimals oh you have to go back and see his brother do his impression of him it's hilarious. And yes he makes the perfect Gavin Newsom.
That was awesome Seth and Josh! So cool a vegan who can laugh at themselves and make some fun out of a terrible thing that other people do. If just one person took something away from this, how many animal lives can be saved?🙂
