@@williamcbrown7813 Do you just want the collision warning turned off? You have to go in your settings on in the instrument cluster it should be under vehicle settings and it should show different settings like pre collision warning, headlights etc go to pre collision warning and you can adjust the sensitivity level from low, normal high and off check out your owner's manual it'll give you more detailed instructions
This and other things I have found do not like getting covered in snow and ice and stop working till sensors get cleared off. A heater and a cleaner is needed on the censors.
This is an awful feature, I would say traumatic since the first time it came off on my 2022 explorer!!! I was driving at 30 MPH and this horrible spud goes off. This feature can easily make you get into an accident!
Just received my 2022 maverick with this option. And with living in Michigan this option is more of a HUGE issue / problem then anything. On normal setting it has warned me and stopped me 3 times. Once when snowing, once in fog, and once when in inside lane and a vehicle pulled out on right turn on outside lane. NONE of these incidents was there a vehicle in front of me nor any object. However this option almost caused an accident with others around me or in back of me. I feel the creator's of these things need to think out of the box and realize that 1/2 of our population in just the United States don't live in mild or nice climates. Winter doesn't work with any.... adaptive or assist systems when in use. Going further if you turn it off or opt out and something is to happen... your insurance company will not pay claims due to any of these such options turned off. So I hope Ford is ready to pay claimes when these options cause the issues / accidents when they occur.
Hi. I have a 2017 Cadillac XT5. It has the accident avoidance system. The problem is I do not know which setting is high and what is low. It just has symbols of a car with red bars in front of it and a changing rear side of car in front of it.
While driving my 2019 Ford Ranger XLT it was very noticeable when changing lanes the truck was over steering back and forth like a ping pong affect. What sensors are used for the lane assist mechanism? My thoughts are the sensor or sensors may not be working properly or not working at all. It could also be the electronics that may be at fault. Thanks in advance for any sugges
Why does my assist go off and send me a flashing warning while driving past a neighbors drive way 50% of the time late at night with no other vehicles, or people around?
So with my Ford Ranger everytime we get snow the front sensors get some ice on it, it sets the alert off and fights me on trying to drive. I am not talking like drive 10 miles and it happens, I would clean it off and start driving and mins later its doing it again. I did set the sensor to low and it still does it... racommendations?
I HATE this feature! Every time it's gone off, I was already handling the situation. It's very distracting and draws your eyes from the road where they need to be. I think some of these safety features make drivers too dependent on them, so they're not really paying attention to other vehicles or road conditions.
It's to coddle people who shouldn't be driving to begin with. They should just make the driving test harder at the DMV. That will stop half the accidents.
So I just took out the largest raccoon I've ever seen. It busted the sensor lose from the mount. The mount it's self easy replacement. However the plastic plug is broken lose. Going to attempt supper glue repair. If that doesn't work then off to the dealership
The collision Warning feature on vehicles are the dumbest features ever! Next to the automatic shut engine off feature when you're sitting at a light - COMPLETLEY USELESS! These features do more harm than good. The first time the warning feature came on, scared the Hell out of me... like WTF???? Almost assisted in completing an accident, not helping. HATE IT!

What are the perameters? Do you have a video of the system working, what do the settings mean in distance?
i want to disable the chime as i cant use cruise until its done. front end and drivers door damage due to deer collision

Max speed is only 120 mph?
My car is a little crazy 🤪 because sometime it makes the noise alert when their is no car in the sides so I just need help on fixing that
I would suggest going to your local ford dealer and having the sensors checked.

2020 F150 Mine only worked once in 4,000 miles, even when I try to make it activate. So basically worthless.
