Thanks for having me, it was a blast! This truly is a powerful deck and I’m glad I got to showcase it here! The consistency is no joke.
Ít was a blast ¨to do this with you.
hey boiiii would love to discuss malcolm with ya
@@sumeme9296 he's on the discord! It is just as fast as your list, I'd argue.
@@sumeme9296 Would love to for sure. Hit me up on discord you can find me in the Malcolm server!
I'll say this a million times... but you can tell when someone is passionate about their deck ! And that really is the best defktechs videos for me
I run E-Wit and Dockside in my Riku Pod deck and never thought about Striving Twinflame to go infinite. I tunnel visioned on the Twinflame/Dualcaster combo. Thanks man for opening my eyes.
I've seen the list in action. It's pretty damn fast. It's ironic this just released, as I just met Josh and his deck. But he'll be on my stream this weekend! Stay tuned for a deck tech video from me on cEDH TV as well!
Love Josh and their content and love the opportunity to showcase one of the most fun decks I've seen and played against in a long time.
Thanks for the video! And thank you for linking my list. Keep up the great content, always watching your videos Mons haha.
As for the deck, I will die on the hill that this is the best deck and I will continue winning/topping tourneys with it B)
didn't we play? I think you won vs me with it turn 2.
@@cedhtv We did! First round of the tourney I believe.

Props to Josh for being one of the first brewers of this list. I remember him posting on reddit when CMD Legends was previewed and it felt like most of the answers were "lol not Grixis". Props for thinking outside of the box, because I do think this is the strongest variation of Malcolm!
People should think more outside the box. You look yourself in and stop learning new things if you just stay with the same ideas.
Because of decks like this, is why I included a Mystic Subdual and a lot split second cards in most of my decks.
You could use goblin bombardment or maybe impact tremors for the dcm Line post combat
green for Tooth and nail, red and blue for the creatures to fetch with it. you can also go, cast tooth and nail, grab Locust god and Sage of the falls and put them on the battlefield, this will make you infinite 1/1 insexts with haste that kill everyone. I play that in my locust god deck, I play the malcolm and glint horn combo too, but you have so janky tutors in red. I played tonight and I gabled for malcolm because I had glinthorn on the table and everyone had blockers, and I lost malcolm in the gable, so green just gets you better creature turtors. Temur is so much better
I love these deck introduction videos. Good content!
Thank you!
You could use something like bombardment or tremors that’s been mentioned in other comments as wincon but have you thought about alter of the brood? It gets around the post combat win problem with infinite token generation and has the the upside of milling a wincon from opponents as well as messing with top deck tutors with fetchlands etc! Interesting deck, like where it’s at 👍
I’m curious if this might be good at being like an evolution deck? Like temur Kiki with glint lines as backup with dcm? I feel like it could be super good. Prioritize the glint lines probably cuz Malcolm but temur Kiki has a lot of options for combo lines and very compact as well. Using corridor monitor/hyrax tower scout/any of the 3MV blue critters and/or the red creatures
That was what I was on with the original iteration of the deck. It definitely wasn’t bad but I found the turbo version to be just a bit better. The problem with always going for a midrange plan is protecting Malcolm gets more difficult the longer the game becomes.
@@ElderDrunkenHighlander that makes sense. Was just curious was all.
Been wanting to brew my own temur but so hard to get away from grixis for me
Its just a tonne of pirates recently. I'm here for it
Id like his opinions on my grixis cus mine is more mid range as well 🤭🤔
I think all of the variants of Malcolm are very strong, comfortably would put em in the A tier (Izzet Breaches in B just because of the lack of tutors).
Grixis is exceptionally strong as you essentially have a typical Turbo Naus deck with all of the good stuff + an extra A+B combo. Temur is just ideal for slamming Glint Horn ASAP and Esper has the best midrange game.
Is there a discord exclusively for this deck cuz I’m intrigued haha
There is! Check out the Malcolm discord, we have our own channel there. There should be a link in my decklist which was listed in the description.
@@zrob much appreciated!
I was searching for pirates deck.
I hope you found what you where looking for.
Thoughts on lore drakkis
Its a good combo but this commander combo can't win from infinit mana. So I don't think it is anything for them.
Pirates are awesome!
It's like godo and neheb dreadhorde in the sense that if not dealt with you will win t2-t4
YES!
NO!
I like deck tech videos, but this one went a little bit too long... lost interest and started looking at other windows on minute 16... just some constructive feedback to make future deck tech videos more focused (hopefully)
Thank you for your feedback. I prefer to have them short.
