Rustic Charred Clock

In this video I show how to make a rustic charred clock. I made it for a friend who purchased a house to renovate that had been badly damaged in a fire. He wanted something to remind him of all the work he had done during the renovation. It is simply made from pallet wood and here is the link for the clock mechanism i used:

If i asked for a char grilled chicken breast and it was incinerated i would be annoyed but yes it is down to taste, i prefer doing mine so it highlights the grain in softer woods...
