This jail and prison system is a hot mess. It’s basically sending him to a slave warehouse. For violent offenders, I can understand. They could of gave him community service if he was really guilty.

After the previous 18 months, there are quite a few politicians and scientific advisors I'd like to see in UK courts, but the system is too corrupt and will never happen.

    • @Anonymous-wq1rf

I am confident that the UK Scientific Advisers and the WHO gave competent advice. The UK Government consists of incompetent people who went to Eton or Harrow and studied arts at Oxford or Cambridge. They are so certain of their superior position in society that they despise all those boffins with their inferior scientific and medical degrees and especially graduates of the obviously inferior London School of Economics!

@@sebastianguerre6868 I don't know why we should be mentioning Russia, but it is probably appropriate under the current circumstances. Russia is an oligarchy, born out of bloody revolution and repressive, tyrannical centralised dictatorship.
Britain and other "western democracies" are also oligarchies. The Russians are fortunate in that they know their leaders are criminals whereas, we in the West are under the illusion that our politicians are not criminals. Our politicians are corrupt and so is the establishment that supports.
English history tells us that England has the world's oldest democracy. Advocates for women's rights complain that women got the right to vote a hundred years ago. Most men got the right to vote at the same time as women. True democracy in the UK has existed in the UK for just over 100 years. History has shown that democracies don't last. Democracy in the UK is slipping away. It is dissappearing into the "woke" cesspit, which is destroying trust and creating fear, uncertainty and divisions. It's a great way to create civil unrest and criminality. The UK moving at an accelerating pace away from democratic freedoms and towards a totalitarian regime that is more suitable for the needs of the global oligarchy, which includes a very much reduced global population, conservation of scarce, precious fossil fuels and the advancement of technology that sustain humanity for the next 40,000 generations.

Dude, if you don't teach politics in university then it's a real shame. I'm scared for the future generations, truly scared. I was born in 1961 and I really believe I have seen the best of Western democracy, the future is very VERY scary.

The uk politicians aren’t even that bad go to Ethiopia or any other African country where people don’t even have food or water that’s where the real corruption is because their politicians have literally robbed the people. You wouldn’t be writing this comment if you didn’t have the privilege’s so we should count ourselves slightly lucky.

I’m guessing you are English and grew up with both parents from the uk or maybe another privilege countries so you don’t see much about the other side of the world , you don’t understand how bad it is in other countries. my parents come from Sri Lanka so I can see both sides of the world and every single day when they watch their news there is always problems about the country selling parts of the country to China because the corrupt politicians keep taking money from tax payers and not paying the debts to China .The politicians receive free vaccines from Russia for example the Sputnik and then try to get profit by selling the vaccine to citizens for around £200 god knows what there being injected. Supermarkets and all shops are closed so how does people get food.Half of the children can’t access education because the country has gone into full lockdown and there is no Wi-Fi for them for online lessons or access to laptops, The government kills so many journalists/activists who try to expose their disgusting acts and oppose to any politicians ,

The scorpians were also doing a good job in terms of alleviating crime across south africa and then once they started investigated Zuma they were disbanded. What happened to all the other ongoing cases? Possible the criminals just got away. It also seems like this act of zuma is forgotten and nobody sees it as an issue.

This is all just theatre. Highly likely he won't go to prison at all. If he does he'll get the presidential suite and be out in a few months.

This is what happens to a successful, powerful country, who performed the first heart transplant on Earth, made some of the deepest mines on earth, split the atom, and makes petrol from coal. This is the result of the whole world boycotting us, sanctioning us and forcing us to sign our country over to a former terrorist organisation, and expect it to be run properly. Every African country that has been handed back to the indigenous population has failed. White Farmers murdered, raped, robbery, and animalistic behaviour, the people suffering the most are the very people who wanted this in the first place. Its time the Africans get rid of the corrupt leaders, take control of there mineral rich country, start going to school instead of burning them, educate themselves, build, invent and bring the dark continent out of the stone age and into the Renaissance, otherwise they will get left behind when we colonize mars and beyond!

President Zuma is a very strong and courageous person. A humble and a true servant of Africa. You a true freedom fighter and a hero. Keep strong

I had to double check the date... thought this was an April Fool's joke!
As a South African, this is some of the best news we have seen since March 2020!
After nearly 800 actual cases, including rape, pending, this old corrupt man deserves way more than just a few years.
Him and his Zuma-clan stole billions from his people, lived in a palace with 25 wives while his neighbours lived in huts without running water or electricity.
He "fought for freedom" only because he wanted to be the one in power, so he could enrich himself, his family, corruption partners and selected Zulu comrades.
It was about or for the people - "ubuntu" as a concept was beyond him the moment he smelled power and money

Precedence must be set ! Recall Israel 🇮🇱 PM Ehud Elmut was jailed for breach of trust 2012 and bribery in 2015, served 18 months after which he was released. But he was sentenced to 6 yrs in jail ! So let the precedence be met and let the current leaders in power know they are no exception !

This gives me hope as an American hoping to see Donald Trump be jailed for attempting a coup in the United States. I don't know much about this man but I hope Donald Trump faces a longer sentence than him and I pray they both give their lives to Jesus Christ.
