I've been running the secondair pnumatic beadlocks for a couple years now and they've saved me out bush on multiple occasions. Only a few weeks ago I hit a tree stump that was hidden in the grass and it immediately destroyed the tyre, however the beadlock cushioned the impact and saved the rim. I was then able to limp out of the track with a torn sidewall to a find a flat area to jack the car up and swap to the spare tyre. I highly recommend them, they're a good investment for that extra protection against tyre damage, protecting the rims, as well as locking both tyre beads....and can keep them fitted to the daily rim with near zero maintenance.
Awesome story mate! Thanks for sharing, i’ll pin this so others can see it too 🤝
Uncle Pooly knows his audience, mutes the the music as soon as he steps on the loud peddle ❤❤❤

Good to whatch some quality 4x4 content that isn't just one big ad or way to dramatic over everything. Loving the content keep it coming
Thanks mate glad you enjoyed! 💪
Mate that's mind blowing.... u have put all the new gear the tyres, rims , internal bead locks everything to proper test.... bloody legend
Not here to half arse it! 😂 genuinely wanted to know if they could handle that before sending them on a 10,000km trip next week!
Bloody hell, I was just thinking I had way to much money sitting around. Thanks for helping me get it back down there. That stuff was starting to stress me out 😂

Thanks mate!
Great collab. Thanks!
Absolutely loved this ❤ nicely done Pooly
Thanks mate! 🙏
You are by far my favourite RUclipsr make me laugh every time and I’m learning every episode as well I do want one of your trays when I do my chop
Solid Ep and solid new apprentice. Those beadlocks are impressive
Those second air are the solution for me.
In the raptor I constantly pop beads. I’ll be getting them tomorrow.
No more bead popping or defecting.
Thx mate !!!
You pair are awesome together, hope you do more stuff in the future
On the auto air system ARB makes the linx that does set pressures up or down. I use that and a company called up down air and have a similar setup. I have 4 Schrader valves at each corner and 4 whips with quick connects. I click on the 4 whips, grab the arb Linx and set the pressure. Works pretty good!
Love the vid and the homemade tyre deflator bloody awesome
American here! Pneumatic Beadlocks are up and coming here too. I want to try them out myself as beadlocks are not "legal" on the roads here. Plus the labor to install them are $$$. Amazing content and channel Pooly! Cheers 🍻
Those internal bead locks have been around for years and are an excellent tool. Cool content
They certainly have, such a good idea that a lot of people dont know about
Love this channel, keep the vids up Pooly! So much better than alot of other 4x4 yt channels, cant wait to see what this channel evolves to!
Thanks mate!
Sweet playlist with the background music
Ripper video mate, pretty cool to learn about those internal bead locks and Aussie made 👌
Quality episode mate love the content, straight genuine blokes. 🤙🏼
Thanks mate! 🍻
Great episode guys. Very entertaining, New mates in the high country, giving out Stickers. Mat Preston safety tips.
That 2 new things I hadn’t heard of!
Legal bead locks and graded 4wd track maps. Downloaded it straight away
Absolutely awesome thanks mate!
Glad you enjoyed mate!
Internal Beadlocks were around years ago and those were called Staun Beadlocks, but are they legal?. Probably depends on which nanny state you're in, as I always thought they weren't. But with the 2nd air valve on the inside of the rim out of sight, whose gonna know hey? I think the only reason for being illegal, was because of the "rim modification", as you had to drill the hole for the 2nd valve. If the rims were manufactured with the 2nd hole, no problem.
But then again I may be wrong, as it's been many years since I first looked into these.
@@paulpatullo5146yes internal beadlocks are legal and you can also buy beadlock rims that are legal from Hutchinson Industries
@@paulpatullo5146 Yeah I heard the same but agree. The popo can't see whats not there.
More of Jonno! great duo quality content with helpful information 👌👌love it lads
Jonno will be back! Thanks for the feedback 💪
Another fun filled episode and it's great to see Pooly and Son he will be an integral part going forward after watching this
Nailed the video production! And your music is on it, unc!
Hell yeah Pooly another ripper video loving all the informative videos mate keep doing you and keep up the wicked content 🤙
Thanks legend!
Quality fresh content. Well done 👍🍺
Phwoarrrrrr what a video mate.. love it!
Phwoooooooaaaaarrrr Thanks legend
Best video editing out of all the lads i follow.
We used to fit these second air beadlocks along with staun internals 15 years ago. Good bit of kit but still do require maintaining. If you run them super koad and dirt or dust gets in itll flog the tube out in no time. Good to see someone running them again tho 👌
Thanks for the heads up mate! And the appreciation on the edit 🍺
Between you and tj and Mac you got the best content on RUclips! Up the vic boys yeewww
Just love your cruiser
That air compressor set up is so good
Fantastic video!
Uncle pooly back at it again! Good to see a practical way to avoid the free stickers! Keep it up big fella.
Thanks mate! Had to try something new they bloody hate me 😂
They are so awesome great video legends
Love it Pooly, might have to get me a set of these 👍
Well done mate keep her up
Honestly impressed by the performance of the secondair pnumatic beadlocks
Such a sick video nah I love it! I’d definitely buy some one day! I’ve gone on trips without letting my air out thinking she’ll be alright… she wasn’t ever alright tho I need a set up like you good sir ! Super easy and no way to forget it
Definitely makes a world of difference! We all start somewhere its taken me a few years to get to this point but so good 👌
This is pretty much the same setup as tubliss for dirtbikes which has been around for a while now. Great idea 👍
Love ya work mate
Awesome content bud 🍻
Another great video mate ! I was aware of internal bead locks but thought it was just a comp truck thing. After seeing this video I want a set !
Thanks mate! I think it’s just because no ones really advertised them, wasn’t my goal either i just wanted to share my experience and so far they are sick!
I love this it really has made up my mind on what I going to use next on
Big ups for the app mentioned I didn’t realise I have a few tracks right near my place, opens so many doors cheers
Its so good! 👌
Cheers mate. I hope you were fully sponsored here because im off to buy the Goodyears and the Second Airs
Love the ep
Could you do a run down video of how you did your compressor set up
Mad content, mad rig bra
Subbed.
That is one sexy rig mate haha! Built to perfection!
My brother put me onto your channel! Awesome content, also I love the sticker on your rear diff 😂😂😂
thanks mate 😂
I nearly marched out to the shed listening to The Proclaimers
Woohoo 👍
Aussie Enginuity at its best- thanks for sharing
Pwooahh Pooly love channel mate! 🍻
I slipped into a rut on that track and lifted a wheel far beyond what was comfortable lol
It’s a good time
I ran the same style of beadlock on my old dirtbike, worked a treat!! Even managed to stake the front tyre, rode the whole day then rode home. Hopefully the car version is just as good!!
Thanks for sharing mate!
Uncle pooly full of information and knowledge
Take one of those mechanical deflator caps that some people use to drop tyre pressure to a set amount and put it where you let the air out of your system. It’s a non-complicated way to let air out to a preset pressure that you don’t have to keep an eye on. I use Australian made Staun brand🍻
Awesome info Uncle Pooly.
Keep up the original content mate.
Frothing on big bad Baz.
Thanks mate! 🙏
Good video Pooly !
Thanks mate!
13:00 love the safety shoes.
From the Avanterra website "For off-road use only. SecondAir™ Beadlocks may not be legal in all states."
I remember with the Staun version that the drilling of a second hole in your rim also makes it illegal to fit. Thats why Staun sold rims with 2 valve stems. Because if they are manufactured like that then its legal. Look up Roothy back in the day put them on one of their budget 4wd specials.
That tire inflation/deflation system is a thing of beauty
What a great idea
Used to run internals way back in the day. I ran the staun ones and they were great, easy to install and like you said you don’t have to get new rims
Quite a few comments now from people like yourself they have definitely been around and mostly positive things about them! Seem pretty good to me time will tell
if you want an auto cut off for your tyre deflator, just buy a set of Stauns and sonme adapters to get the threads right. you can have 4 preset pressures then :) pretty simple i reckon
Ive only ever seen one rear bead come off the rim while running external beadlocks. But that was under some pretty harsh winch comp driving. These are definitely a pretty solid option for on the road. Will be good to get a update after you out a few kms on them
Definitely after asking the question have had a few people with inner bead issues comment and i agree definitely a more sensible approach for what im doing cape york will be a good test for them
Pooly I have been running them for 20 years first the original Stauns (the precurser to 2nd Air), now Coyotee from the US which are a big improvement over the initial design. Zero air no problems and no issues in 20 years.
For your auto tyre inflate deflate look up Jamec Pem AUTO1000
Ohhh shit yeh another ripper uncle Pooly 💪🏼💪🏼
Cheers uncle mac daddy 🍻
Those wheels are phat!!
I used those 25 years ago at the out back challenge, Roger Smith was the original owner of second air
Yeah awesome stuff those tyres look nearly exactly like my 003 geo lander Yokohama see how they go.
BKT run a similar "flute" between the lugs on their tractor tyres too for mud ejection
What a great product, Aussie made🇦🇺🇦🇺👍 those tyres look like they have less than half a fart in them LOL . Uncle pooly no more shelling out $$$ on canaries and more for zinger boxes 👌🇦🇺
$800 defect fine = 53 zinger boxes i know what id rather! 🤣🍗🍗🍗🍗
Gee uncle Pooly really knows how to edit 👌💪
Thanks mate! I am learning new tricks every vid 💪
I’ve been and looked at that track and said fuck no 🤣 good stuff mate and good content
Can you give us a rundown on how you setup your compressor looks heaps neat and wouldn’t mine chucking that in my Ute
Love that some music!
Australian product. Fantastic! Product needs more promo in the 4wd segment.
But as you boys said potentially saving people on the side of the highway that really don't know how too or not safe too change a tyre. Limp it somewhere.
Definitely a awesome invention, i have already heard storys of blokes out wheeling too limped back to camp on dead flat! 😂
Finally somone who isnt flogging darche gear or entering codes and adverts every 2 seconds
Unfortunately Ive got some bad news for you with the darche gear 😂
Loving this content but had to laugh at @28:20 "it's a tyre pressure issue" with front diff smashing the ground and rear shock hangers scraping the ground on 35" xD
Hahaha tyre pressure definitely wasn’t helping either but yes you are right she was beached 🤣
Neen running them for a while, wouldnt recomend haveing the beadlock valve back there as its good to check the pressures of the inner tube regularly. They have been a reliable setup.
Nice video mate. Amazing product I think they’re better than mechanical beadlocks from what you’ve shown us. Do you Reckon you could do a compressor run down a bit more in detail. I see a few brands in there. Cheers for the quality videos 🎉❤
Glad you enjoyed mate! Might sneak it in my next video
This is awesome, as you once said “I don’t need sponsors, I just buy what I want”.
Great little tech spec video show casing a great product from a small Aussie business
Our favourite Islamic extremist state member Jono is a good feature on the channel too
P.S. no wonder ya found this product up there as I heard the boys in swan hill like their bags of chalk 😉
😂😂 thanks mate!
Dope!
I run the tubliss system on my dirtbike (which uses the same principles as this air beadlock)
I back it, as ive gone over the handlebars grabbing the front brake where you would normally wash the front end out. Only issue is you have to run some tire slime to keep the pressure somewhat consistent over lengths of time
Thanks for the comment mate! Another great story interesting about the tyre slime
@@Unclepooly that being said, dirtbikes are designed with tubes in mind while road vehicles being tubeless might have better designed flanges. Let alone 1000 spoke nipples. If you have dramas keeping air in at 5psi that might be an easy fix.
Gday, firstly it bloody good to see an Australian product, I’ve never heard of SecondAir before and I truly hope after this video more people will look into this and can stop being harassed by the law, Johno don’t go bad on the camera either mate, shit hot episode once again, cheers
Once again thanks for your comment mate! Appreciate your support and feedback on all videos 🍻
Cheers for the info 👍 have not put a step wrong with your RUclips yet
Thanks for the feedback mate glad you enjoy!
works offline aswell pretty good to know where you are
I remember seeing these secondairs advertised in the 4wd monthly/action pages when i was a kid, even roothy had a set of them in milo for quite some time, and the piranha offroad 60 series also had a set. Interested to see how you go with them as my understanding is they stopped using them when they werent advertising them anymore, i think theyre a fantastic solution to the legal problem.
Hey mate thanks for sharing, seems to be how the story went the marketing stopped and that was the end of them will be interesting to see if they make a comeback im not here to market them just genuinely wanted to share because i thought they were such a simple and good idea
Looks like im getting me some beadlocks.
Possibly one of the most informative videos i've seen in a long long time.
Newtracs is fucking sick too. One of the best apps ive ever paid for.
Glad you enjoyed mate! And i agree newtracs is awesome 💪
@@Unclepooly James is real responsive to e-mails too. Ive been a subscriber for a little while, its an invaluable app. Apparently comments and pics are coming very soon.
Iv definitely seen the rear bead de-bead on low pressures (steel beadlock rims) car was basically on its side in a big rut 🌅
I think it actually did both rear inner beads 😂
That bead-lock is AMAZING!!! 10 times better than getting pulled over. Also, are TJ and Mac going to the cape with you?
I agree mate! Theres nothing worse
We run them for years but made by staun.
Got our first set around 2005 for the jt's, back when steel 15x8's were cool 😂😂😂.
Steelies are for trailers now 🤣 how did they go? Another bloke somewhere in these comments reckons stauns were no good
@Unclepooly hahaha.
But steelies can be bashed back to some sort of shape when fingered lol, but we never had an issue.
Little bit of a prick to fit but otherwise flawless.
We consistently ran 0psi on JT2's up here in fnq.
I looked into these awhile back. Saw a few comments that dust/mud and sticks can still get in. While I get it with the defect thing. The rest let it down for me. I find a blown inside bead would be very unlikely compared to the outside due to the outer wheel being where it gets bashed the most. Will be interesting on how they work over time. Keep us in the loop.
Also you changed from Baja Boss. I run the Nitto Mud Grappler (the bald tyres on your truck lol). Have you had a run with a good set?
pwroaaaahhhhhh g'day pooly
