I read it over ten times and still I cant find proper words to insult on how you put words together....extreme off road, middle class, environment.
This is not extreme offroad..this is chaotic offroad to the extreme!!!
Дуже порадував ГАЗ-63, розумію що від нього, напевно лише одна кабіна, тим не менше. Знайшовся кузов і умілець, який його відродив до життя. Фільм дуже хороший, що операторська робота, що монтаж, дякую, та і організаторам "повезло" з дощем.
off roading is actually more popular in europe than it is in the states

The driver in the red Niva, with Big wheels, did the right thing, slow throttle, to let his niva find tractions......i have been working in the woods with machines at 20 tons, so i know :) take it slow, and you get there !
I wish we could still do stuff like this here in the States. Too many tree huggers now. :(

Scary how close all these folks stand to that winch line. That cable snaps and you've just cut your crowd in half.
It's amazing just how many people that don't understand that you'd literally be sliced in half before you know what happened
***** No? I had a cable snap, fired clear thru windscreen, took out passenger headrest and crushed the A-pillar to about 1/4 of its original size as it wrapped around it... If that's thick steel (had roll bar fitted too) and suffered to that extent, I'm sure a human body would fare far worse
Regan Ingley I've seen those cables snap, but they lose most of their energy and land on the ground after flying for a few meters, and they fire alongside, never aside. So keeping a few meters clear from the sides seems to be enough... Not sure what kind of cable was in your case... If the other end of the cable is poorly attached to a tree or stone, and then fires, in that case the heavy hook will fire the cable with far higher energy. One day a towbar teared off an old toyota truck - that thing flu through the other truck's rear door and landed on the passenger seat together with the tow rope.

I imagine they all use plasma rope, it is a lot safer than cable. Nice vid.
The only problem is...the deeper those tire grooves get on either side, at some point it will be deep enough for one of the vehicles to get stuck on the middle ridge. So somebody will have to take a new route...

Man, great video! Most videos here are taken with crappy cameras and the sound is horrible. Your video however is brilliant! Good job mate
ive often thought the same thing but for the fact you could have an electric motor on each wheel, just a pair of wires and no drive train or gears...problem is you need insane amounts of energy to turn heavy wheels in the mud so you need either a couple tons of batteries or big generator with a vette motor i think would work well. ive looked at prices for this and hydrolic drive(like tractors/skidders) and it cost the least to build a traditional 4wd

Winching right in front of and toward the crowd or simply multiple vehicles on the course at once. That's just madness.

its like watching f1 in the rain...these guys should build a 4x4 park in this area or wherever and set up obstacles to run over log piles ,boulder fields etc...this is really sad to watch these great rigs overheat and break and not really showcase how good they really are

No dear, I fear you've taken that the wrong way.
Besides, I've seen the sort of contraptions you lot bang together for the purpose of 'mudding'... Scary things. Not from a power or size perspective, just the sheer levels of half hearted bodgery that goes on. Propshaft not long enough? Buy two and weld 'em together... Fair enough, but don't tack them on, seam weld them, and get them centred while doing it! I't unbelievable.

Just a little tip... Work on horsepower. Torque is nice but you better have H.P to back it up especially if ya wanna go sling some mud with me LOL! Or at least invest in a good winch!!
