It's a shame so many Americans don't understand what's going on in this video and comment anyway. Good video! I really enjoy checking out the European winch challenge competitions and vehicles. Wild builds and tough racing.
You don't need to understand :) if you like off-road. It looks like very nice competition with fantastic support of spectators. Feel of the place is always matter of local conditions. Simply good luck!
Well, by the title it is called the Winch Challenge. And it looks like their are different classes, which I would imagine compete at different skill levels with different levels of vehicle modification.
mate you wana see some of the pits and hill climbs we use for our national trials, but they are short course events that you get as far as you can but a lot of the time no one clears them
Don't get me wrong, this mud pit would make a great short course event. Kinda like the long-jump, who ever makes it farthest wins. but this event was a long course, probably timed/scored in some way. And despite the talent of each individual team, this obstacle was 100% impassable without a winch. I just think this pit wasn't right for this particular event.
i don't really understand this competition. some of those mud holes are simply put, grand imposibilities. i just think that an obstacle with such a stern and unforgivingly definate outcome has no place in an organized competition.
Not enough clearance for mud bogging, would also help to have taller but semi skinny tires to dig to bottom for traction unless you wanna use wide+speed and hydroplane approach lol.
Its not all about the big tires or the lift there is a limit for legal trucks on the road if its too power full or too high lifted or the tires are to big you can't drive it in road it's illegal so what do you do? You hook it to a trailer a lot of people want a suitable on road and Offroad let me put it more basic marketing it (civilized ) to be in the street
OnlyOffroad first off, it's clearly marked as the "unlimited class" so they can run whatever tires and suspension they want. Secondly, you can see a few buggy type vehicles on what are at least 40" tires and they do way better than all the trucks on small tires. Third, most of these are running v tread ag tires which aren't legal for extended road use anyway, and they all have extended fenders and tires sticking out past the body that aren't legal or safe on on the highway anyway. Beyond all that, a truck with 54" boggers and enough lift to keep the bumper from plowing mud would absolutely kill this course and may never even need to winch.
Garbil Huler watch this video that's all I have to say about you're silly biggys ....here's the link to the video ..cheap jeep vs high dollar crawler click first video that pops out ...search it in youtube
Нет, это очень низкое место, там каждый год проходят эти соревнования, если есть возможность приехать, очень рекомендую - действительно есть что посмотреть. ,)
My suggestion is higher gear, higher rpm, higher horsepower. gear ratio is too low for mud, not enough rpm's and nowhere near enough horsepower to clean mud from tires.
So where are you going to get the room to put these tires on. you will need alot to get almost any ford through that with there horable suspension and imense weight. You will need an entire different suspension, tweeks to the fram, diff, gearbox, trans, axles, more power, weight loss, and most likely more power. no ford with just tires would make it. Ans the craptor wouldnt have a chance.
What is this? The winch master nationals? Someone should tell these yuppies a lift, big mud tires and horsepower would do them some good. Oh gee great they can winch themselves through mud holes they cant drive through. Thumbs down.
#1 dont use some of these vehicals, #2 throw some lifts on the jeeps, i believe i saw some wranglers not positive, #3 GET A F**KING TRUCK hello bigger engine and can put a safer lift on it
I love these competitions ! Thanks for the upload .

Thanks for posting....watched start to finish...that was sick.

Классное видео, много прототипов, есть на что посмотреть, и подучиться.
This is more a test of winches, than driver and rig ability!
us trucks cant compete in this terrain with this specialized build vehicles ,with some of the fastest mechanical winches in the world!
Well, by the title it is called the Winch Challenge. And it looks like their are different classes, which I would imagine compete at different skill levels with different levels of vehicle modification.
the winch was the king on that day
"look at meeee! i have 33's!!!!!" hahahahhahahahahha
this is one of the funniest things i ever did see!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lololololol
mate you wana see some of the pits and hill climbs we use for our national trials, but they are short course events that you get as far as you can but a lot of the time no one clears them
looks like the portal axled rigs have the advantage. they have so much cooler rigs over there then we. I would love a diesel Tracker sized rig.

over here in america we try not to use our winches what so ever , but there it seems the preferable technique lol
quit hating and learn how to have fun.

Portals only allowed in TR-3 class at that time(now in "open" also).
You do know they run 40's with portal axles, don't you?
some say that 20 cars are still in the mud
and this happens only in estonia (i live in estonia)
what time of axles and portals are they running?
really did they all think they could get through that mud
Why dont they use portal axles? more clearance less pushing mud with the axles?
Not enough clearance for mud bogging, would also help to have taller but semi skinny tires to dig to bottom for traction unless you wanna use wide+speed and hydroplane approach lol.
By the look of it. They should just get a boat with tires around the sturn and just use the winch like they been doing the whole video
this is not off road.
this is off sense.
those poor winches but good vid man
Now that's what I call a mudhole.
Why the hell would like 7 trucks get stuck in the same mud ole at once and all in each others way? Kinda stupid
test of man, machine and his skills against natures obstacles.
even a dog can be stuck in that mud :))
what kind of axle used?, seem like unimog axle
Naza Sansone where at? Usually Unimog or Volvo C303
***** thanks
19:20 this is the reason why u need a locker... Looks like fun though
Europeans just don't get mud bogging. Big tires, big lift, high wheel speed, and stay on it.

Are those mostly suzkies?
im guessing your american by that comment?
00:30 AHH!! He is being pulled by the winch!!! I was like: What's the F%$& that truck is very powerfull!!! Moving all the mud.... What the??
i love the mud..great rigs..other countries know how to do it.!
are alot of those buggies desiel cause they are smoking like they are burnin bean oil
looked like a fun day
You could do at least some research before dropping stupid comments like that.
at the start of the vid who's the women that tried to back through.. haha
Looks like they could use a boat motor, with a prop.
whats with the ladders>

the truck went by at 6:03 had the rumble of an LS motor
Theme song. Corb Lund- truck got stuck.
