This game also featured the first appearance of Mickey and Oswald together. To 100% the game, it requires a minimum of 2-1/2 runs to get through all of the branching paths and quests as well as gathering all of the collectibles. It really just is surprising how the end of a boss dependent if you use normal or thinner paint
I love the detail of how the Thinner paths are easier than the Paint paths and give more rewards, but aren’t as satisfying, giving the impression that, if Mickey chooses to use Thinner, he just wants to get it over with and is only thinking of himself, whereas if he chooses to use Paint, he’s empathizing with his opponent and helping them in a way that makes the outcome work for both sides, even if it takes more work. It just goes to show that the quickest solution isn’t always the right one.
The coolest Paint Path have got to be Captain Hook, the music sort of sync along well as you move toward Tinkerbell.
Did... did you just color me blue with my own attack? That can't count, right? Surely that doesn't count!
The thinner route is surprisingly visceral! They really made it look like that stuff hurts.
Watching this years later after I remember playing this game, I had no idea you could even paint/redeem the clock tower, cause when I tried painting him, I just thought the blue was just the marks of the paint not realising you could paralyse his arms and paint his face to redeem him, I felt like a fool
EPIC MICKEY IS BACK 🗣🔥🔥🔥
Funny how despite everything you can’t choose to spare the final boss
When I first played this game I remember doing all the paint stuff like activating or repairing some stuff with paint instead of thinner and of course redeem some bosses, specially enemies like slobbers, but when I did the thinner route all the things changed my perspective a lot, this game surely knew how to play with decisions trough the whole adventure
It’s surprising to see Mickey nod his head in disappointment upon defeating the Shadow Blot using Thinner. It really makes you wonder if he’s regretting what he did or not.
CLOCK TOWER: Oh, dear. It seems my time has come.
i like how paint is more puzzle and thinner is more to the point
Cant wait to see how the water the light physics look when the remake finally arrives
The thinner ending where you just bully hook until he literally falls apart is so brutal.
I’m happy this game is getting a remake now a new gen can enjoy this masterpiece
This was my first introduction to undertale like decisions.
clocktower boss and backround theme is so nostalgic
I really wish this game had gotten more love at the time it released. The art direction and planning is so creative and you can tell a lot of love went into it. It's one of my favorite games regardless of flaws just because i often find myself going back and wondering what it's like in wasteland and how the story changes and continues after we've left. I've always done the paint path but the fact that you can even choose was mindblowing to me as a kid and its a really cherished memory because of it
They need to revisit this idea of horror that is epic Micky
