Everyone forgets that Chief is only able to be the badass that he is because tens of thousands cover his back while he stops the monsters. He couldn't do what he does without the Marines and the ODSTs breaking themselves over the enemy to give John the chance he needs.
Very true, and the Spartans worth a damn remember that. Doesn't diminish how badass Spartans are. I remember reading a book excerpt where two teams of Spartans had to eliminate an army group. One team snuck in a tactical nuke, while the other (Master Chief's team) attacked as a distraction. 4 Spartans (IIs for those who wondered) held off 1000+ grunts/Ungoy and an assorted few other Covenant for at least 10 min, and even destroyed a wing of Banshees with antipersonnel mines. MINES. The Spartans had no hope of winning that war without the support of the rest of the USMC (from infantry to armour, artillery, airforce and navy), but it's no exaggeration to say a squad of Spartans can be worth an army.
Not just the Chief. Noble 6 only succeeded because almost the entirety of his team gave their lives to buy an opening or intel. The Bullfrogs in New Alexandria died en masse, softening defenses enough for Six to push through and get civilian evac lines ope (and then staying in position to hold what Six took), even though the pilots plainly say they had orders to get out, not to evacuate civilians. The Rookie in ODST likewise only succeeded because of the Superintendent and Virgil's assistance, as well as the efforts of his own squad to pull him out ( to say nothing of the vast casualties sustained in New Mombasa that allowed the rest of the squad to survive long enough to link up). Or, for that matter, Chief's efforts would have meant absolutely nothing if Spirit Of Fire effectively taking an entire Forerunner shield world and its armada with them back in 2531, more than a decade before Reach. That fleet would have swatted even Chief like a bug. Chief may be a living legend, may be the Librarian's inheritor, but she did say he was the culmination of her planning. The rest of humanity's efforts are the steps before that had to be taken.

The helmet at the end hits hard
The guardians of Greece from the Persian Empire, the guardians of Humanity from the Convent Empire.
Spartans... Spartans shall defend Humanity at any cost, for Spartans never die. 3 is their number.
Just look at what the 300 Spartans did against the Persian army
Through
action, a man becomes a hero. And then, with determination as my armor, my will
as my sword, and love as my eternal guide. Hard men make easy times, easy times
make weak men, weak men make hard times, hard times make strong men. Be strong,
never give up on your dreams. You can, you will get it, trust God, trust you
too, and victory will inevitably come into your life.
a fighter cannot have fear if he was trained from childhood - it is simply his life and death. And they are prepared for death.
Guys awesome song and awesome game the key success

Favorite part with ODST's is they arent Spartans, they had no Augmentation. They are just people as Lasky once said: Soldiers arent machines they are just people
Through action,a man becomes a hero.
Through death,a hero becomes a legend.
Through time,a legend becomes a Myth.
And by learning from the Myth,a man takes action.

Have any of you ever watched a movie called The Wandering Earth? I'd really like to see live action Halo movie with real people with special effects straight from this movie or even better! This franchise deserve this!
