Hi Everyone and Welcome to Promethean Sewing Machines, where I am unashamedly rebelliously creative when it comes to taking old forgotten sewing machines and bringing them back to life in a beautiful way.
Meet my new project:
This machine started life as a Singer Model 66 Godzilla. She's going to end up with a pretty spoked balance wheel and hand crank along with a fresh minty green look.
This video shows my painting process and a few new things I have learned along the way.

This one really speaks to me! I have been starting to sew on my 66 finally. She isn’t pretty but she sews beautiful. My fav color is 💚 of any kind. And the Lily of the valley take me right back to my young childhood on Grandmas porch where she has needs of them surrounding us! It’s still one of my favorite flowers and scents. Gorgeous machine!

What a lovely machine this will be. When you say, "handwheel" I assume you mean hand-crank. I would love to see what you do to make it more sturdy and less prone to rattle. As always, I'm looking forward to your next video.
I love lily-of-the-valley, and associate it with 1st of May thanks to some French friends of mine.. I'd give her the "middle names' of Lily May... doesn't that sound as beautifully vintage as the machine itself? Kinda reminds me of The Waltons!
