BTW, saying Vin is small because Rock is so heavy is silly, it's like saying someone who is 6'4 is short because the guy next to him is 7'.
They're both big strong guys, Rock more than Diesel but still.
I never thought Vin would look THAT small compared to The Rock! But damn they made a nice fighting match-up in the Fast Five movie.. one of the best scenes in the movie for me! To see those 2 dudes fighting like it was a no rules cage fight lol was worth the money to go see it!

I'd say they did camera angle play and Diesel was probably standing on a box for some of the face-to-face scenes. If done properly, it can make people appear mch bigger than they really are. Here is where their real size becomes drastically clear.

I love Vin and dwayn ethere both down to earth, great guys! Obviously the rock is bigger the mans huuuge but vins a big guy too, he look spretty small here but in the movie he's built...think of paul walker he must feel like a cocktail stick with clothes on aha!

One last thought, anyone think Michael Jai White V.S The Rock would just be an amazing fight? Jai White is smaller, but damn they both move so good. Or how about Vin Diesel and Dwayne fighting Scott Adkins and Jai White? That'd be one hell of a movie! There are certainly plenty of storylines that could involve them. Hell, the next Riddick movie. Dwayne could play perhaps a cousin race to the Furians, or even Riddick's half-brother. Karl Urban recruits Jai White and Adkins and mayhem ensues.

Dwane is a monster compared to Vin, just saying. I love them both.
I also think we'd see the smaller guy edging it out, slightly. I hate saying that as the bigger guy, too :P. When I was a boxer before my injury (the picture of me on here was taken a bout 9 months after my injury so I hadn't been in training for nearly a year and had shrunken my a fair amount), the smaller, cruiserweight guy I sparred with who was 5'11 and 185-195 gave me so much more trouble than these two other guys that had 3 inches and 30 lbs on me, well, one did, the other was 6'7 but lean
Dwayne looks like a ogre. Vin looks like a regular human.
It's hard to find a series of movies that is still good after TWO movies, for this series to gain box office premise in its FIFTH installment was surprising to me, but very impressive!

you can see that vin is so ... kind!! even though he is rich and he is famous, omg you really can see that he is still himself!! its amazing, i love him so much!
I totally agree that they set this fight to be similar to what we'd see in say John Matrix (Arnies character from Commando) v.s Rambo. Rambo is smaller, but not necessarily way weaker, same deal with Vin and Dwayne. I'm 6'3 and 235 so I'm closer to Dwayne's height, but my biceps are only a little over 18" right now. Dwayne looks like 23-24, Vin is probably 19-20, you'd be surprised how much bigger you look per inch after 20 inches. It's like exponential in the way it looks, just deceptive.

Back to the fighting though: Arnold, in real life, would likely get his ass kicked by Stallone. But as far as the styles of John MAtrix and Rambo (which we all know the choreography for the 80s action was hookey at best, if they had the same kind of cinematography and choregraphy as in this movie I bet the styles would be very similar) John Matrix would be using a lot of grappling, strong-man type stuff. Rambo would be going all Rocky on him with the combo throwing, palm-strikes, etc.
I kept looking at Rocks chair thinkin if it was gonna break... lol

At 1:35, keep dreaming boys, Schwarzenegger will be in The Expendables 2 and I am praying for a match between him and Sylvester Stallone. That would be something that the history of cinema would remember for ever.
What I found in just my completely AMATEUR boxing experience (I only have had 70 fights total, although my record is pretty decent if I may say so myself, only 14 of them are losses, and I got 47 KOs under my belt, so I was a hitter.) I always did better against the bigger opponent, except for one guy who had an undefeated record and a 95% or something to that degree KO ratio. The fight went 8 rounds and I was seeing double at the end, I managed a TKO at the last 30 seconds when he gassed out.

@smokine2001 Well the Rock works out damn hard as well. Try roiding without exercising and see what happens to the body. But roids do help increase muscle mass. But Dwayne just has a naturally larger build than Vin Diesel and is a solid few inches taller.

Huh I am 6'3 220 about the same size as Dwayne and no not fat,my height is average for men in Maine.Probably cause we don't drink recycled sewer water,fact being estrogen can not be removed.Yes us country boys have more natural testosterone going for us.For instance I power curled a honest 180Lbs when I weighed 160 myself.Shamed to say at 220 not much better,max at 200 for a set of 3.Needless to say we are not impressed with wrestlers in Maine.

Its common to use roids.Almost everyone is using roids,stallone have been using it.Arnold have been using it.Rourke also! Ofcourse The Rock is using it too.But as that is said.It isnt a bad thing..its completly normal to use steroids these days!
