- These are the 5 things I hate about my 2021 Jeep Wrangler Sahara. There aren't too many downfalls of the Jeep Wrangler if you know what you're getting into! Before buying this vehicle you must remember this is an off road vehicle!! The reason it has 4 wheel lock and such is because it is meant for the out-back mate! It has some bad handling for daily driving and some less than ideal road noise. But if you're prepared to deal with these minor annoyances this is an amazing vehicle. It's similar to the g wagon where people expect it to drive like a dream and be luxurious but in reality the g wagon (2018 and below) sucks to drive BECAUSE it is meant for off-roading and not meant for the streets. So know what you're getting yourself into and enjoy!

Biggest advice is not to get one off the dealer lot. Wrangler should be factory ordered. They have way too many options and it’s hard to find one on the lot the way you exactly want. Keyless entry is only a few hundred $ for example. Big screen is an option, headliners with carpet for less noise too.
PS, tailgate can’t swing up due to heavy tire on it haha.
Most of your complaints are fixable.. you can get a bigger screen... you can get keyless entry.. both for a cost!
And the back trunk opening is like they as it’s a classic keep feature
He mentioned why not having the back window extend down like a hatchback. I wonder if he knows that the roof comes off and how fun it would be if a hatchback was connected to the roof assembly...
You can have whatever you want to modify it only if you got the money for it

It hard for me to understand all the whining since I’ve owned at least 6. I gave one to my brother and he has over 275,000 miles on it…complaints seem trivial…I have fond memories of driving across the USA in a blinding snowstorm…..that Jeep was the only vehicle still on the road as I passed 100s of stranded vehicles. Nope, Jeep’s have served me and my family well.
I’m guessing you’re not a Jeep guy. All those complaints are pretty much par for the course on an off-road vehicle.

My rubicon has all the features you complained that you didn’t have lol. I got a grand Cherokee while my rubicon was in the dealership and I agree, very comfortable!

The ability to go topless for me is the greatest selling feature of the wrangler. I live near a tropical rainforest and beaches, and having a wrangler on an island is really awesome.
Ordered a JLUR a little over a week ago I opted for the larger screen and the extra 4 gallons so hopefully that helps those issues!! Should have watched to the end I also got keyless entry I just hope it won’t take to long to come in!!

I love my Jeep. I just picked up my, 2021 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sahara. I ordered it from the dealer and ordered exactly what I wanted it to have. It's so customizable . I have keyless entry. It un-locks when i walk up with the fob. All the bells and whistles. I love the way it drives, (i feel like a bad ass. lol ) and how high it sets. It is a lot quieter than my last Jeep a 2010 Wrangler Unlimited Sport. Now that was loud. So far I love everything about my Jeep. Yes it cost a little more but as I am learning it I would definitely buy it again. Hope this helps.

I told my dealer about my steering was too lose so they fixed for me...the road noise can be reduce with ceiling pads (headliners) by Mopar or Quadratec got some good variety too. Jeep Wranglers are fun to drive but yes those aren’t for everyone who are way too picky! lol

I love how everyone says the interior has cheap plastic everywhere. Show me a car that doesn’t have plastic!! Even a Bugatti has plastic! It’s a MODERN car....only difference is a luxury car may put glue over the plastic and put pricey fabric down, But it’s still plastic...

2:57 Look at the camera lense, not the monitor (screen in your case). What is the point of filming yourself though a tiny review mirror if you're going to be looking at yourself. (Can't stop looking at the monitor? Try some sunglasses)
3:09 Your Sahara has a small screen. You should have gotten the 8" option.
You keep saying '50k or 60k' and you hate everything that makes it a jeep. Why don't you just get a Tesla? Do yourself a favor, schedule a Model Y test drive online and check it out. You would love it. They're great.
I would just like to say that my tone is not condescending. Just some honest advise. It seems that you want to get into making more videos about different vehicles and as long as you keep working at it and keep improving along the way, I think you can do it.

I think his point is that for the "take it in the ass with no grease" pricepoint, things like a larger screen shouldn't be an upgrade. Jeep is now charging extra for damn near everything, including every color of paint except for white, in addition to criminal base prices.
2 of the five you mention can be addressed, the road noise can be reduced with interior mopar roof panels

I reduce the wind noise by taking the roof off. :)

I've been driving one for just over 8 years now and I've come to despise mine. They do have that cool factor.
After a while I stopped caring about how cool it is and was constantly reminded about the terrible ride quality and road noise.
I don't think I'll buy one ever again with all the other options out there.

The Jeep Wrangler began life a as quarter ton truck for the US Army. It has removable top, doors and a windshield which can be lowered.
But yeah... you want it to be a car.
If these are the worst things, it aint that bad ;) Some of which can be remedied with an paid for option.
How do you find it drives ‘on’ the snow (as in snowy roads and not plowing through a forest) compared to an AWD Subaru for example? You got the LImited Slip diff and Selec Trac 4wd auto option by any chance?

Not sure if it is the same with the JL steering box, but the JK you can adjust the steering wheel play to take it out of the equation.

@@douglasallen511 Search on "jk steering box adjustment". There are a number of good videos. Just do small changes like a half turn when you do it, until you get the result you are looking for.
My god this video is so not relevant. Just don't get a Jeep and get to know the options. Get a Rubicon fully equipped like mine and you might not complain so much! Unless you're just a jeep hater! Stay safe

The only actual “problem” you listed is the tailgate which is easily solved by not being limp-wristed. It’s the same as you get on a $300K G Wagon
Oversteering is when the back end of the vehicle loses traction while turning the wheel (with varying degrees of control loss, and at the extremes the vehicle will spin out). Understeering is when the the front end loses traction in a steer, failing to turn as intended (straight ahead usually). When you say it oversteers all the time, are you on ice usually? What are the conditions? I do like your enthusiasm.

i had this as a rental. the ride was good and the engine had a lot of power. as it should its was a 2020 jeep wrangler. i noticed that it had excellent braking but lousy steering and i didnt like where the controls were placed in the cabin. those tiny doors made it awkward entering and leaving the vehicle. i thought it gets 24 miles per gallon?

Okay first off they offer a bigger screen which u didn’t get the package, second they do have Auto Unlock with the door handles just anothe package, and theirs a bunch of upgrades on Jeep’s website so check that out first and check what u any first so ur not dissing amazing cars

Hey girl. It has a lot of dislikes because if he had done his research on Jeep’s these aren’t complaints.
Bigger screens are an option for like a $1000 upgrade, same with keyless entry.
The interior is basic because jeeps are meant to have an interior that can be fully sprayed down due to off roading and mud. Also jeeps are the most modified cars, that’s why they keep it simple.
Gas mileage complaints are stupid cause they have the same as trucks, if you want good mpg you have to go with a car regardless. Also you’re driving a box LOL.
Wind noise is the only “okay” complaint, cause again you’re driving a box.

I think you just talked me out of getting a Jeep Wrangler (I've owned 2 Jeep Cherokees in the past and love them) I was looking at the new, very basic 2021 Jeep Wrangler Sport 2 door, current lease is $243 a month with Sting-Gray color and no other options but I've already pre-ordered a CyberTruck I think I'm just gonna wait for a CyberTruck, which I won't see you for a year or two but I have another car a Fiat 500e all electric totally silent very fast, problem with it is the Range advertise 84 miles, but I'm just in the Malibu to Santa Monica area and there's lots of free chargers and that's all I drive to I don't drive any further than that if I do I just rent a car.
Basically I just need one car and just gonna park on the street and I was thinking jeep wrangler but now I think I'm just gonna wait I'll rent them when I want one.
I've always wanted on a Jeep Wrangler, but the CyberTruck will br far better, though at about 2 or 3 times the cost.

Honestly I love the wrangler, but I’d definitely take a cyber truck over it in my opinion. If you buy a wrangler you gotta do it because you absolutely love wranglers, because the ride isn’t that nice on long trips. Good choice brother

Don’t let it scare you. Go down to the dealership or go on line. Keyless entry is available it’s call proximity keyless entry. Also bigger radio is available. My Jeep has an 8.4 inch screen. I have no plastic on my dash. Everything is leather wrapped because I bought the High Altitude trim package. Let’s face it you get what you pay for. It you get a bottom basic Jeep you don’t even get electric windows. Go big or go home. Or at least don’t make RUclips videos crying about things you couldn’t afford making it seem like all Jeep’s come this way.

About the interior, my rubicon is with an amazing quality honestly, I don't know if it's different than Sahara

Rubicon has front and rear lockers and a Dana 44 front axle vs the Sahara's Dana 30.

Jeep is not meant to ride or drive like a luxury vehicle. If all a person has driven is cars or luxury SUVs I do not recommend buying a Jeep. I have a new Jeep Sahara and I love it. But I have driven Jeeps and Trucks and off road SUVs all my life, so it feel like luxury to me! It's all about what you are used to driving..

I found this video helpful because it is talking about what could be annoying to you if you have never owned a Jeep Wrangler, which I have never, and some of these things would bother me. I don't think you really hate these features about the jeep just the wording implies that and maybe that's why people are getting mad? When you are low on gas the car automatically switch to the reserve tank of gas (extra stored gas for emergencies) to give you enough gas so you can go to the gas station or your destination. That’s why there is more gas when you are about to become low.

It it a plastic piece that is on the back of the tire attachment, not the tire.

The things you hate about a jeep are the things that separate a Wrangler from the other models. I would have looked at a different model like a Grand Cherokee if I was in your position. You would have got a lot more creature comforts.

The wheel is loose because the designers tried to save weight by making an aluminum steering box. Since the gears are aluminum they cannot be meshed as close as steel, and thus the extra play in the wheel.
My question is did your daddy by it for you or did you actually work and buy it yourself. I have the 2021 Sahara and the steering is just fine. I have not had issue one since it was purchased. It is as good on road as many 4 wheel independent suspension vehicles of its' weight class, not to mention it will excel over all in its' class off road.

I have 2020 Jeep Wrangler Sahara unlimited and it’s fully loaded with 9” touchscreen, keyless entry and keyless locking system. Heated wheels etc. The tailgate door is fine, it’s durable and spacious inside. Your complaint about this car is not that serious. Looks like your model is basic and not upgraded.
They have options for keyless entry and a bigger screen. i recommend actually doing research before you say this stuff. you just didn’t buy it with those upgrades so you can’t really complain about not having it when you just don’t have enough money to purchase it.

Clearly not a Jeep guy. Bigger screen and keyless entry are available. Tailgate rear window design is so you can take the top off.

85K Canadian after taxes for the 2022 Rubicon 4XE. The interior is awesome actually. The screen is actually very large.
You would think on some of your dislikes that Jeep would do something about it........ Oh wait there is an option for the 8.4 screen and keyless entry. But remember the dash is made that way so wash the interior and not mess up the electronics. And ITS A OFF ROAD VEHICLE. If you didn't want road nosie don't get the off road tires, go with the sport or high altitude

The interior and fuel is something that EVERY generation Wrangler has. If you want better parts, get a G Wagon. And I don't mind the small monitor. I find the big ones distracting and unnecessary
Mail carrier getting a right hand drive someday. Doesn't matter how it drives to me.
Hell, my screen is smaller (jl sport s). Don't care a bit. Road noise isn't bad at all, and I have a soft top! My Vette is much louder. Steering is fine (check tire pressure). It isn't perfect steering, but much better than my jk was. Honestly, mine is my most fun car I have had overall, that includes a c6, c5, c4, c3 Vette, srx cadi, and jku rubicon. Jeep is great every day, not most. Also, upgraded stereo helps with road noise as it has sound canceling technology
there is a keyless entry, just on higher version.
i got a 4xe 2021 and its quite fuel efficient, i get in the low 7L/100km on hybrid ( far from the 5L they said but still decent ) all the features are upgraded, like my screen does look bigger for example, comes on 20" wheels. but the back door has to be this way, you cant have the 2 panels connected or jt would look silly with the roof off, and a self opening panel... i weights like 2 pounds not the end of the world.

My 2021 Sahara Unlimited has both the bigger screen (with a Pioneer sound system) and keyless entry. As far as your fuel mileage goes, it gets better the more you drive. So if it says empty and you drive it a little, your mileage gets better and the fill light would go off. It changes big time when you do highway travel.
