Apologies for not being a full on video, but this was a test video done for the Double Rainboom project. While I am still on the hunt for a more permanent job (which is the major reason for any sort of delay for new videos), I continuously kept hearing about this project and finally wanted to see what I could do to help, regardless.
For anyone who hasn't heard about this yet, the project is a group effort to make a full-length, show quality animation.
• Double Rainboom Part 0...
Here's the first part of the animatic, out of 6.
I was sent a puppet of Twilight and Rainbow Dash to animate and I constructed a small scene to show what I could do with it, with this being the end result.
After I sent in this animation, I was encouraged to upload it to my RUclips and link to the project, asking anyone who might be interested in contributing to check out those links to find out if you'd like to assist as well.

Ah, after going in and double checking the show, the shine follows with the eye. What I was getting hung up on was that I (for whatever silly reason) was thinking it stayed in place relative to the entire eye, not just what the pupil does. That's why it's not always there, because it's hiding out in the white part of the eye until the pupil crossed over. Thanks for the feedback guys, helps me stay honest.
That is the first part seeing a castle in the city and discovering that the one who rules there is the good shadow king of the mlp comics and that his friends are the characters of happy tree Friends, and there you can put the htf fan dame as citizens of filler and that the villain is infinite a sonic villain and that there are also the mane 6 of the future in this new adventure and that infinite pretends to be his friend what a villain would do to get closer to the protagonist and he tells him that celestia and luna planned to return to be princesses, and telling them that the shadow king was alive and that he was thinking of retiring and giving his place to celestia and luna and telling them where this happy tree friends twitlit and her friends travel to happy tree friends to see if that was real what she said just the day they were planning her coronation when they realized that she was coming they can't do the coronation because of her presence only until she leaves and the final battle is the same as in ninjago as in the first p elea celestia and luna lose the first one and then the real battle begins all the friends of htf and the creatures of equestria who are also friends and mane 6 against infinite while celestia and luna are going to fight with infinite just try it, I'll just give you one idea.just try it and you will be better than anyone if you agree answer me
Whoa, this project sounds so cool! The fact that there's enough talent and dedication in the FiM fandom to create an entire show-quality fan-made episode is just incredible. This show and its community never cease to amaze me :D

The eye shine thing was something I certainly need to double check how it properly functions in the show itself, so I can agree with your assessment.

oh for sure, it made the jokes and slapstick humor more enjoyable. Plus, sometimes just random moments would be humorous because of the sound effects. It's like subtle humor

hahaha all the sound effects sounds like Dexter's Lab.....aaahhh the good ol' days of watching that show and everything that was Cartoon Network and Adult Swim. Still though, this is freakin SO AWESOME!
you never really escape from anything, you can try to ignore it, substitute it, or redefine it, but the fact of the matter remains that it is still there, growing, and will forever remain in your memories until the day you die. The only real escape is escaping from yourself, and coming to terms with all things. Then only will you find peace.

there really should be a size episode in season 3. I just feels like it when we got AJ to be the size of a mlp toy but instead like Twi would accidently cast a spell on someone causing a grow or shrinkage and she can't find the reverse spell so we watch the character who was affected by the spell live their life as either big or small. (or if it were shrinkage why not like the entire cast but again twi doesn't know the reverse spell so the cast try to get to the spell book to be back to normal.)
That's really impressive.
The animation was fun but I have to admit I was more entranced by the nostalgic music entering my ears.

Only problem I see are the eye shines, they disappear sometimes. But you'll get the hang of it I'm sure, the animation is quite believable. :nod:

do you draw the characters yourself or do you use a flashpack with all the characters premade?
Don't worry. Nopony will ever use "everypony" in common parlance. But if somepony does, I'll be giving them the hairy eyeball myself.
The magic looks a little off. There's usually a double layer of color.

Good job, but the magic envelope should make the area around the target glow- Not the target. The eye shimmer on Twilight's left eye looks a bit messed up. Other than that, god job!

I would think it to be much easier considering it's puppet animation and not sort of frame-by-frame hand drawn objects.

The light reflection in her right (HER right) eye near the beginning doesn't sync up. You did very well though, if you snuck this into an episode of MLP I wouldn't notice the difference xD

After you animate the ponies inside the layer, you can see the animation movements when it's export (rendered), right? Because I can't see any animation movements when I'm outside the layer before I export it.

I know this is a demo intended to show off the animation and the sounds, but I REALLY hope the final animation isn't quite this heavy on silly sound effects.
