- As I was searching for a good version of "Sing, Sing, Sing" I was surprised to find this piece with a similar title. The tune caught my attention and I began looking for it on RUclips. Nearly every version I heard had bad sound quality or the solos where terrible. Well, here's a version that I liked. I hope you like it too, feel free to rate and comment and subscribe to me for upcoming songs. Please note that I don't confine my musical interest to jazz. I like a wide variety of music.

Every musician on this recording is phenomenal, but I think the real star of this piece is Goodwin himself just for the ARRANGEMENT. Incredibly well-crafted.
That clarinet solo is Jesus
right
when one can make a clarinet sound like a flute, you know they are good.
+who8mahbacon Yes. To get the right embouchure on the clarinet is very hard.
Woah, that is the clarinet everyone was talking about. I thought it was a flute.
Why would you want clarinet to sound like flute, especially in jazz?
It didnt tho, it sounded clarinet
Ahhh...Gordon at his usual brilliant best...amazing, great fun!
My Jazz band played this a few years back. It was awesome to play, and even more fun when the drummer managed to take a 15 minute solo (the rest of the band had time to run across the street to Starbucks, pick up drinks, and come back before he was finished).
Spectacular.
Man that clarinet solo.... Good stuff.
+McJavi138 Yeah
Eddie Daniels is god.
THAT CLARINET
Syn The Black Stick of Death. It is one of the clunkiest instruments.
+Ajgi no, that's alto clarinet
+THW NinjaScopez its not its a normal b flat clarinet. Alto is abit lower
Sam Smith I think he was saying the alto clarinet is the black stick of death.
that clarinet is preachin brother
As a drummer I REALLY want to play this in big band . . . after Count Bubba. I do like Count Bubba more, but both great tunes!
+ShartimusPrime I'm playing this song on the drums for my college jazz ensemble, its a lot of fun to play!
What's up SP?
Same!
ShartimusPrime I'm playing count bubba at my school. It's the easiest of the pro charts but is insanely hard for alto sax.
ShartimusPrime am I the only trombonist here? I only see heckin clerinerts and trumpets and drummers.
What I would give to become a clarinetist like that.
A lot of dedicated
practice.... :)
How about the time to practice? It's possible!
Now I have "RUSHING OR DRAGGING?!" - flashbacks.
same
Same drummer, right?
@@jimdavidson210 I don't remember if the drummer was Russian or a Dragon.
watches them play this live last night. even better! clarinet solo absolutely rocked!!!
James Connell lucky...
My high school alma mater (Millard North HS, Omaha NE) won the Midwest Regional Jazz Festival in South Dakota with this tune back in 2002.
The Bass Bone riffs are fun to play. :)
We did this piece in my high school jazz band this year and we threw the solos around to whoever wanted them. Our lead tenor is a natural clarinet player so he obviously had a solo, but this tune is so fun.
This made the big list - first worldwide list of best 100 music from Myspace and RUclips.
im so stoked bc i got to meet willie murillo and he gave me a trumpet lesson. fellin blessed
lucky
Lotlus fancy seeing you here
Fucking legend
First track from their first album - I bought it as soon as it came out and it STILL sounds great! Thanks for the upload!
Just spent 3 hours transcribing the clarinet solo. Even more amazing when you see it on paper...
This is surely my favorite big band hands down!!
I'm a kid who gets like no support in my life, and I'm proud of myself for what I've accomplished in music. Playing music may just be what saves me someday.
Our band totally played this song last year. I play bass trombone and since there is a lot of bass influence, I was instructed to practically blat the entire song Best song ever :]
Wow. Eargasm. The trumpet and clarinet solos... Blew. My. Mind. Like daaang.
This made the world's first best music list - the net is the world's first jukebox and this is the first list of great new music.
Congratulations BPB
Cracking clarinet solo... incredible knowledge and tonal expertise!
I played this song in my jazz band last year and we played it up to time with them... it was insaine! We all had to learn clarinet and each took a turn playing at certain parts... WOW!! I love this song:)
Man this reminds me of my highschool jazz band days when we played all the Big Phat Band stuff
I am currently in a middle school jazz band
+cole Mickelson that is amazing
We competed and won straight superior so meh
lol
that song is fun too but not as fun as count bubbas revenge
4k resolution
Mint-Flavoured Sand. It was 2008, what’d’a want?
Booti Bigoli You ever try to upload a 480p video in 2008?! Took years. Most RUclips videos that I remember were either 240 or 360. Only Television and DVD was 480
Our marching band played this song for show in my freshman year of high school.
I was in the front ensemble, and I played a shaker.
What a romp! Sing Sing Sing on steroids. Couldn't stay in my chair...
love the groove to it, so catchy.... :)
how can those 7 people not like this????
holy crap how many drummers are there??? this tune is so cookin yo
My jazz ensemble at school is playing this. I get to do the trumpet solo :D
Good luck man!
They want me to do a clarinet solo with our band but I'm not really a jazz clarinetist.
If you’re a seasoned improve soloist the solo shouldn’t be anything to worry about
What an awesome clarinet solo!
For the one who says no clarinet (whether joking or not), there is a sick clarinet solo at 1:47...
LOVE this piece, we played it at big band and it was insanely hard, they make it sound so easy!
i LOVE the big phat band!!! i saw them on a jazz band trip last year and they were amasing!!!!
Such an ace piece to play especially when you've got someone on the vibe part!
This song is INCREDIBLE!!! Man, sucks when it has too end!
I know the feeling
woooh! what a clarinet solo! havent heard something this good! the gliss! whhoooooo....... aryt trumpet! sexy!
and what an ending!
Playing this for my jazz concert in April I love this song
The clarinet in this song is so good, I wish I could play it like this
Song is AWESOME to play as brass. So fun! Will love this piece forever.
i just love the sound of clarinets in jazz
the intro to the trumpet solo ALWAYS gets me hype!
Can't wait to play it.! We're playing it this year in the JCJC marching band.
Goodwin or Goodman, Love those Woodwinds
i cant help but think of monsters inc. when i hear this. fucking love jazz
Love this song!
We are playing this for our marching band show and it’s awesome
We're playing this in my jazz band, I have the clarinet part, SO EXCITED!
Soloists:
Trumpet: Arturo Sandoval
Clarinet: Eddy Daniels
am I right?
Played this for marching band show this year it was amazing!!!!
I really like this. It's obviously based on Sing Sing Sing but it's different enough to be its own chart.
The Chicago/Gipsy Kings version of Sing Sing Sing is my fave. I'm not usually a fan of instrumental charts that have a vocal track added later, but it's really cool IMHO.
Wow...made my nose run...and I like it!
Cool song! My school's jazz band played this song... The clarinet solo is just incredible! It's my favorite version of the song!
It's like a five and a half minute crecendo of amazing. I used to blast this song while I cruised by in high school.
My jazz band is playing this, and that trumpet soloist might be me. :) thanks for putting this up, I'm listening to it nonstop to prepare for this haha.
I LOVE the beat at the beginning! :)
This is a great version!
Bass trombone power!!! what a tune!!!
You can hear snippets of sing sing sing in it, i'm sitting here being all like "I see what you did there"
Yep :) Love it!
Playing this for jazz band. So much fun to play on the piano! :D
My high school is going to play this for our contest marching show next year.
Actually, Arturo Sandoval is playing that trumpet solo as a guest. Wayne is playing lead, of course.
Lucky enough to play this in my high school jazz band with Gordon Goodwin and Eric Marienthal. We played a lot of the Phat Band's stuff that concert understandably. Glad I did not fuck up the drum solo.
Love this song! My schools jazz band plays it every year
I can totally jazz clarinet like a baws... But this guy.... Whoa buddy!!!! xD
that is a clarinet but the part was written truly for a sop sax we have on in my jazz band for this piece and it sounds SWEET!!!!!!!!!
LOVE IT !!!!!
Playing trombone 4 on this is by far one of my favorite moments in my music carrier.
やっぱしかっこいいなぁ〜!✨
いつか生で聞いてみたい!!
i say they are both equally good because Sing Sing Sing showed the styles of Bigbands back in the day while Sing Sang Sung shows how modern times had made everything even funner
"Each and every note is important" is what my high school band director said and that is totally right. That one clarinet note during the trumpet sex, oops trumpet solo, was like. UGHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DANG THAT FELT GOOD! what a great note :)
This version came bundled with the "Sound Blaster AWE64 gold" from Creative back in the late 90'ies. It was featured as an ACC sound file with 5.1 surround. Excellent sound quality, of course, to demonstrate the performance of the sound card.
I’m an 8th grade toddler who still poops his diaper. I play 8th trombone on this part. My band teacher’s paleontologist played in this song.
we played this in my high school jazz band so I'm sure you can find the sheet music online somewhere.
Sing sing sing is awesome but this is awesomely awesome
Lit!!!!!!!!!!!!! My high school jazz band is playing this.
why so many negative votes for this good man? what he's said is purely factual - and he even complimented 'sing sang sung' in the process...
i luv this song ♥ :)
This is really cool.
Eddie Daniels' clarinet sound feels so good whattttt
For a second my brain flipped and mistook it for Shouwa Rakugo.
Now I see where the anime's OST got its inspiration from. And probably a lot more.
AMAZING.
Its impossible to listen to this song with out blasting it!
Is anyone here not playing this in their kindergarten jazz band right now? Every comment section for this band is full of you narcissists.
SuperShredder89 I'm not
Festering In The Crypt roasted 99% of the comment section
Let's just calm down
I'm a drummer and when I at this it's coffee in my left hand lol
This is my first hearing this band's recording, but our jazz band played it and it was amazing because our best clarinet player happened to be in jazz band so our director liked doing clarinet features but yeah it was a sexy clarinet solo.
that little lick @5.30 was awesome
I just got handed the clarinet part for this. Kill me.
DJT183 ME TOO LOL
As a Bari sax player i REALLY want to play this song
+Ryan Nichols (Kirito) high five bari buddy
Aaron Neumeyer This guy right here, knows where it's at
+Ryan Nichols (Kirito) what mouthpiece are you using lol I'm a Bari player as well

+Jermaine Mcclendon 60 seconds till detonation
I'm pretty sure my ovaries just exploded. I love playing this song so much
Such a great song I can dance to in my seat and just jam out on my bari sax.
Omg love trumpet at 3:45 awesome!
yummy041496 s
This chart's so awesome.
Holy shit solo at 2 min in send chills down my spine. MAN I LOVE THAT SOUND!!
The lyrics are spot on :']
4:30 till the end. That's just awesome
Gordon Goodwin is total band nerd's music :P so many details in the arrangements.
Our school band used a sop sax for the solo, I wasn't expecting that clarinet at all! Think I prefer the sop sax, but still an awesome solo!
Skittles1622 Its written primarily for Clarinet, with the option of Soprano Sax instead
I just realized how much Gordon Goodwin my jazz band plays. We have so much! And it's all really fun.
