The guy that came out of the ground is Kim Jongkook who was in Turbo, the original performers of this song. I don't know if anyone mentioned it, but ATEEZ performed this live on an episode of the TV show Immortal Songs honoring Turbo. Jongkook was so impressed with their performance that he agreed to collaborate on the video for the song and actually contributed his vocals. They did another collaboration too, also probably not at all your taste. It's notable because Kim Jongkook was known for NOT doing this. The live performance is a fun watch because it shows, one, how beloved this song is and, two, how absolutely genuinely blown away everyone in that audience was. Immortal Songs doesn't allow lip syncing so when Jongho hits that final note, he's really hitting it.
Okay I'll try to explain this the best i can. So the reason there were alot of people by the end is two things. 1- there were dancers in the back of ateez. 2- there was an old guy at the front dancing with ateez themselves and he's *i think* from a really old kband called turbo who actually created this song also named black cat nero but it was like a dance type song with a very up beat type of genre. The original song which both songs are inspired by is actually an Italian nursery song with the same rhythm and some of the lyrics too. But ateez just took the song and threw their whole vibe into it turning it into a dark Halloweeny kind of song.
This is one of my go to Spooky Season songs. Ateez also performed their debut song Pirate King in the streets as Zombies 1 month after debut. And did a vampire version of Deja Vu. I’m newish to your channel but have heard good things from my friends. Ateez are my Ult group but I am also a fan of Straykids. I’m looking forward to seeing your journey into Ateez.
You have only done a few reactions to Ateez but you are already becoming one of my favourite reactors, I really enjoy how you point out really tiny details that I don’t even notice! I hope you’ll keep reacting to them… I’m looking forward to the next one 😊💕 Also… thank you so much for reacting to this song in particular, the original (by a group called Tutbo) was kind of a remake of an Italian children song from 1969 called ‘Volevo un gatto nero’ (I wanted a black cat) and I literally grew up with that song. Crazy how more that fifty years later it became a Korean Halloween song sang by my favourite artists ever…
Ateez also has a performance video for their song Deja Vu (off of their album Fever: Zero Pt. 3) that’s vampire themed if you wanted another Halloweeny video to react to!
iirc the "kid voice" in the beginning is akin to a producer tag - it's been in other songs as well, like Block B's "Jackpot"! (which is also a spooky/circus vibe with funky bgm from an older group, they're listed in the KQ opening shot for this MV 👀)
Ateez has a zombie pirate live on the street version of their debut song”Pirate King”. Their make up and wardrobe are amazing. Definitely Halloween vibes
Ateez performed this song live first in a competition show called Immortal Songs and everyone liked it including the original singer of this song! So later they made the music video with the original singer with them in it.
Please check out "Guerilla" MV or "Halazia" MV. I wish one of these would've been your first ATEEZ MV 😭😭 This was a remake of someone else's song. Please check out the ones i mentioned next ❤️🤘🏻🤞🏻❤️ You already love Guerrila, so seeing the MV will blow your mind!
The choreography from the chorus (and melody) is from the original choreo that is a disco pop song. That's why it looks different and older and that's why the chorus, that at the same time is from an italian old nursery rhyme is the catchiest most pop part! Ig you didn't like it as much for that? Same if so but is still so fun to sing for me :D The first time they did it was on a program where they do covers from old songs called Immortal songs and they do it completely live and was even better and the judges and public were dancing along that known move too it was fun!
Thank you for calling that out, they combined some of their own known choreography with Kim Jongkook original choreography and they blended it so well, it’s an incredible mix of
For spooky songs, maybe DPR IAN, I'm thinking "Don't Go Insane" which is (one of) his most popular songs. I wouldn't call it Halloween themed, but is spooky. I would also say there is a not insignificant amount of Ateez fans that also like DPR IAN, so that may mean his music is to your taste. other kpop-specific halloween recs: - Witch by Xikers - Chase Me or Good Night by Dreamcatcher (they have a few songs that would fit, these are just my favorite. Their whole concept is very halloween so a lot of songs would fit)
Ypu are quickly making your way on my favorite kpop reactors. ❤❤ Another good Halloween video by Ateez is their 'Not Okay' mv. It gives off really dark and creepy chills. I think you would thourough enjoy it musically and visually😁
🎉🎉🎉 Tony, we definitely have something in common now. 😂 Black Cat Nero is MY FIRST ATEEZ MV too. I didnt even know Ateez existed until I saw an instagram post by Kim Jong Kook (the big guy who rose from the ground at the end) whom I'm a fan of from his Family Outing & Running Man variety shows. So I watched this mv and immediately claimed my position in the fandom. 😅
If you ever get around to watching more of their music videos, Work and Bouncy are must watches for me. Those 2 introduced me to ATEEZ as a whole and the cinematography is insaneee and so fun. As for more "spooky" tracks, Block B's Nillili Mambo is always iconic lol
A dire il vero, hanno ripreso in parte una vecchia canzone italiana per bambini, " Volevo un gatto nero". Comunque gli Ateez hanno fatto un buon lavoro💯🫰
I love your auditory reactions so I’m not sure how often you’ll delve into the MV’s but Ateez MVs are always something special. As plenty of people have mentioned about their music, it is very ‘lore heavy’. So in their MVs for The World Series, there are SO many hidden eggs all throughout. You’d have to go frame by frame to catch them all. 😮💨 That said, I do think you may enjoy their live stages! They have just… unreal stage presence. True kings. You can tell how much they enjoy the stage and performing for their fans. I don’t even have a specific one to recommend off the top of my head, because they give 100% every single time 😅
For the Camera is probably neither. I would say it's a camera robot, it's like a very mobile arm that moves with the movement or programmed for certain time etc: you can check Motorized Precision, for their cinema robots.
When it comes to dark and thrilling theatrics, Ateez really aces it! Esp with how Hongjoong giggles (idk what the accurate term for his laughing signature), San just showing beastly dancing, plus Jongho nails that eerie vocals. (Theyre the ones I know most as a casual Ateez listener) and when they dance together, they just evoke a powerful emotion like theyre in your face
the original "Black cat Nero" song is actually an Italian nursery rhyme about a child who wanted a white cat but gets a black one instead. This rendition is so cool it almost makes me forget its origins tho lmao
Oooooh not to throw another new group into your mix, but "Monster" by seventeen is one of my favorite recent "spooky season" k-pop sounds and while Seventeen is not always known for your favorite "pots and pans" style of sound, I think monster definitely has some fun "noise music" elements to it.
Not sure if it's your preference not to read them but almost all ateez music videos have pretty well done subtitles you can turn on! Lyrics aren't important in this song since it's a special remake so it doesn't have subtitles but a lot of their other MVs are made to compliment the lyrics and their whole storyline. A lot of b-sides are also pretty deep and very lore related when it comes to the lyrics. Edit: 8:18 it's ateez, backup dancers and Kim Jong Kook a famous senior idol from the group Turbo, the original artist that wrote this song.
I just saw your reaction videos to Jjam and I was going to leave a comment for the black cat nero! I'm so glad I came to find it first. I love this song and the video is good too. I haven't watched your reaction yet but I'm happy to see you do a reaction to this video. It's such a good song.
Wow I was actually surprised it wasn't a playlist song for you lol you and I are usually on the same page with what songs are playlist songs, but either way I'm so happy you gave it a listen/watch. Love your videos dude!
Tony’s back again. I gotta take my headphones to work now in case you spring another one on us. This was one I have never heard or seen before so thanks for that. Keep up the good work. ❤
So glad to see you point out the cool visual composition too! Your mind will be blown by some of the aesthetics in the Stray kids and Ateez music videos. Stray Kids are known as the "transition kings"...and the budgets for the videos are top tier. Can't wait for God's menu, Case 143 and Maniac music video reactions. and the video for "work" by Ateez is pretty special too! Will be great if you can pause to admire the visual composition occassionally...then we can all stop and smell the roses. I bet we'll see details we haven't even paused to appreciate before. Also, When you listen to Stray Kids Replay album, they released the track titles for it and they used different fonts. Would be interesting to see if you can guess anything about what the song might be like just from the font. Lastly, just want to comment how I have now developed an appreciation for the artistry involved in the hair, make up and costume design. It blows mind how in a group photo the costumes are all subtly different but are cohesive as a group. That's such a skill in design. ...and don't get me started with how Hyunjin looks like a painting sometimes! Honestly, there's a lot of genuine art in the visuals.
BBTrippin are the backup dancers that show up in a lot of their videos, and I believe this song/mv was a collaboration, therefore it had extra people showing up on top of the dancers. Definitely recommend Ateez' videos. They are very cinematic, and following their storyline is part of the fun of being a fan of theirs. Not Halloween related, but I'd recommend Halazia, Guerrilla (you heard the song, the mv is great too), and Not Okay.
This song is on like a mini album called Season Songs where Ateez collabs with a legend in Korean Music Kim JongKook. If you are still looking for suggestions for Halloween themed K-pop songs I definitely say the video for Brought the Heat Back by Enhypen fits the bill.
I haven’t even gotten to the part where you hit play yet and I’m giggling to myself. Making a prediction - Black Cat Nero is WILD. You’re gonna like the music I think, but you’re skipping their regular videos (which are already awesome and weird - looking at you “Work” with the Ostrich) and their more “tame” performances (which… it’s Ateez so none of their stuff is super tame), and jumping off the deep end 😂😂😂 Also the Demon Line goes a bit nuts on this one, if I remember correctly. Crazy stage presence. So my prediction is that you’re gonna like it but it’s gonna be a Lot. lol
One of my favourite ateez songs. I would recommend dreamcatcher - chase me. It is giving halloween. And from group you are more familiar with stray kids jjam music video.
JJAM by stray kids is a great Halloween option along with Maniac! Venom is borderline with its spider theme. ATEEZ Wonderland Halloween version ( ruclips.net/video/AFP6QLw0ClY/видео.html ) as someone else said is great! Witch by xikers dance practice video is also a really good Halloween-y one! I personally like the dance practice more than the music video because the dance has so many Halloween themed moves you can’t always see in the mv. For non Halloween music videos of ATEEZ, Halazia is my #1. I also think you’d LOVE the live performance of ATEEZ Guerilla at Coachella!! It’s phenomenal! (I’ll keep adding more as I think of them!😂)
The voice at the end - with the high note - is their youngest member and Lead Vocal - Jongho. If you wanna hear another amazing iteration of his voice, watch the Wonderland - Kingdom Version (ruclips.net/video/-uDitNeFO-I/видео.html). HIs vocals will blow your mind in this!
Hey, if you're interested in checking out new groups for the 'Halloween vibes', can i recommend the little brothers from ATEEZ? They r basically a newer group from KQ entertainment and in my opinion theyr doing an amazing job! Theyr newest album HOUSE OF TRICKY: WATCH OUT has some spooky Halloween vibes. Their title track WITCH maybe? 🙃 I'd be happy to see your reaction to that 👀😌 + their music videos are just like ateez' top tier 🥹
I want to recommend a group called MONSTA X. I see that you like both Ateez and StrayKidz so I think you might like themX too. For a more HipHop style I recommend their debut album "Trespass", and for their more EDM albums I recommend "Take 2. We Are Here", or a fan favorite "FATAL LOVE" MONSTA X debuted in 2015 they are 3rd generation Kpop. I would consider them direct seniors of ATEEZ and StrayKidz which are 4th generation kpop groups.
I’m so so excited that you’re releasing mv reactions as well!! I really recommend the Jjam mv by stray kids and if you want to see a performance PLEASEE watch ateez at coachella!! love ur videos king 🫶
If there's still time for Halloween themed k-pop, might I suggest looking into Monsta X's 'Love Killa' - it's a new group for you, but I feel like you and I have been on the same k-pop journey! I started with Monsta X, then picked up Stray Kids, and ended with ATEEZ :)
I know this is non K-pop related but could u react to the new Tyler the creator album called Chromakopia he self produces and he has such a cool style love your reactions🩷
Know you've not gone anywhere near Enhypen and you may not vibe with them, but the video for their debut Given-Taken is perfect for the Halloween theme. (Their lore is vampire related, which I am unable to resist)
If you only ever watch one Ateez MV, it has to be "Halazia". I still get chills when I watch it. :)
Second this!
I third this!!!
fourth to this!! HALAZIA MENTIONED 🗣️🗣️🗣️
I fifth this! 🔥
I sixths this

Fun fact, this is a cover from originally by a group named Turbo (From the 90’s) that based this it on an Italian nursery song.
First time listening to it, thanks for the info ✨
The original is an Italian children's song, but ig what you mean...the first Korean version was by Turbo
Okay I'll try to explain this the best i can. So the reason there were alot of people by the end is two things.

Nobody does Halloween quite like ateez

-aww it’s so cute that you’re doing your second music video
Also, Xikers "Witch" MV, and "Red Sun" MV! Thank you Tony!!! ♥️ "Not Okay" ATEEZ MV is also really dark
Yes!!! Big emphasis on Witch by Xikers!!
i've only been listening to witch and black cat nero this season
@@jazzledazzle yes! Same but with Seventeen Hip Hop Unit’s Monster in there too.
@@StaceyM0710 ooh i'll have to check that out!
WITCH BY XIKERS YESSZ
Ateez also has a performance video for their song Deja Vu (off of their album Fever: Zero Pt. 3) that’s vampire themed if you wanted another Halloweeny video to react to!
Fuck yeah!!! Thank you Tony!!!!
this is my favorite thumbnail so far
Wow this one's going straight to MY playlist.
Oh! Ateez also has a halloween version of wonderland, a great song and eerie video. Their make up is next level creepy.

For Halloween themed k-pop songs, Shinee's Married to the music is a must!🥴
Also…the aggressive dancing? Yeah…thats just what they do! Thank you for another super fun reaction! ❤️
I love this mv. The fits and makeup are incredible
It's worth watching the live Immortal Songs performance of this song - it shows just how much energy and charisma they have when performing live!
the guy in the middle that popped up out of the ground, it's his song, he collabed with them a few times
Another reaction 😮 thank you we really are being spoiled. JJam by stray kids has a halloween kind of video so that woupd be a good one to watch
I think your gonna love their single Halazia

Always expect the unexpected with ateez!
You should listen or watch halazia, it's a masterpiece. The video is really cool.

I think it would be very cool to watch ATEEZ WONDERLAND performance on show Kingdom. They are in a proper pirates attire, very Halloweenish🏴☠️

Love that we are being so spoiled today!!! JJAM by SKZ next to keep with the Halloween theme!
8:00 “hold on..” idk why but this cracked me UP😂 the confusion in your voice is so comical

This song is on like a mini album called Season Songs where Ateez collabs with a legend in Korean Music Kim JongKook. If you are still looking for suggestions for Halloween themed K-pop songs I definitely say the video for Brought the Heat Back by Enhypen fits the bill.
My boys 😊
yep, recommended u HALAZIA MV
Heh, Black Cat Nero was my gateway song to Ateez but my favourite Django with Dune a close second.
I haven’t even gotten to the part where you hit play yet and I’m giggling to myself. Making a prediction - Black Cat Nero is WILD. You’re gonna like the music I think, but you’re skipping their regular videos (which are already awesome and weird - looking at you “Work” with the Ostrich) and their more “tame” performances (which… it’s Ateez so none of their stuff is super tame), and jumping off the deep end 😂😂😂
Also the Demon Line goes a bit nuts on this one, if I remember correctly. Crazy stage presence.
So my prediction is that you’re gonna like it but it’s gonna be a Lot. lol
That’s one of my favorite covers ever, it’s fun! Hits right sometimes but definitely different lol
So glad someone recommended this. It’s so cool, I had it as my Instagram song for Halloween lol
This was the song that got me really being a San Bias...
My favorite group!!!! Thanks for reacting to them!!!! Please I want to see your reaction to the Treasure Ep album. End: All to action 🙏💪
Woo! I’m so glad you checked this out! It’s mind blowing!

ateez killing voice react pls

Hey, if you're interested in checking out new groups for the 'Halloween vibes', can i recommend the little brothers from ATEEZ? They r basically a newer group from KQ entertainment and in my opinion theyr doing an amazing job!
Theyr newest album HOUSE OF TRICKY: WATCH OUT has some spooky Halloween vibes. Their title track WITCH maybe? 🙃 I'd be happy to see your reaction to that 👀😌

Thank you Lisa!
I’m going to keep commenting Vixx VOODOO DOLL because it’s actually gory and the video is sick af and the song is really good
Def recommend Ateez’s Pirate King zombie version and Dreamcatcher’s Boca zombie version.

I want to recommend a group called MONSTA X. I see that you like both Ateez and StrayKidz so I think you might like themX too.

Know you've not gone anywhere near Enhypen and you may not vibe with them, but the video for their debut Given-Taken is perfect for the Halloween theme. (Their lore is vampire related, which I am unable to resist)
Heads up that I've left an overly thorough comment over in the community post :)
