I don’t have words. You guys just redefined what is possible with the human voice. This is EXTRAORDINARY!!! The needle has been moved, the frontier pushed. Amazing. Awesome. Bravissimo!!!!
You should be so proud of this, Peter. This is fabulous. And yeah, I love that you guys are interacting-just saw Tomi on Mortius’ channel. I hope you’re feeling better!!
First time in my life I heard a breathy chest D1 😳 Please, Peter... tell Elliot to work with scientists who publish in the Choral Journal. His gift could be the key to unlocking infinite bassiness for the rest of us normal basses !
I was hoping you would do a behind the scene's reaction to this and the rest of May the Bass be With You Vol. II. This was AWESOME!!! Looking forward to the rest of the videos! May the Bass be with you too!
What phenomenal voices (though I confess I love the timbre of your voice the best, Peter)!! This is chock full of fabulous moments from all of you. Seriously fantastic.
Absolutely beautiful. Who knew all bass could sound so good. :) Elliott has such a rich, caramel voice. Feels like it just wraps around you and gives you a comforting hug.
Beautiful cover, Peter. I have to say Elliot’s movements and expressions really enhanced the melancholy nature of the song and lyrics. Phenomenal feature. Congratulations to you all and may you have many years of success to come
I love that you guys are not limiting yourselves to only strict acapella when it serves the music to do something different. The drums added a fantastic atmosphere to this! No one in their right mind would not be in awe of this piece just because it is not purely acapella. Keep experimenting and thinking outside the box, we are here for it! ❤
Peter, this is so fantastic. I don't know if I enjoyed it as much as you, but I sure enjoyed the heck out of it. I absolutely ❤️ this version, and will be putting it on my favorites list as soon as possible. It was a great collaboration with Elliott, and I hope you can do another one in the future. The Bass is definitely with me!
I have to admit that when I first saw this come up on RUclips, I was expecting 5 bass voices to be monotone and bland, but imagine my surprise to realize that I was sadly mistaken, as you 5 clearly have very unique tones, that make the harmonies just as interesting as with an a capella group with singers in different ranges. The arrangement and the performance is on par with the best a capella groups out there. 👏👍🏻🥇
I can't wait to play this song to my niece. Not only does she love the song, but she also enjoys bass. 😍😍 Such an amazing version, you all did so well 😘
Congrats Peter and The Bass Gang on another incredible cover! Your excitement was palpable and I always enjoy listening to each bass singer's timbre and the way they blend together to create something unique and special!
After giving it a while to set in, I can say with confidence that this is one of the most incredible a Capella arrangements I’ve heard in my whole life. Little can compete with the sheer power that this piece of art just explodes with
Congratulations! Yes constant social media presence is how you market today. Nice that Elliott could join you. He has been singing acapella for a long time. 👏👏👏
Thanks so much for doing this!! I think I can speak for all the other Bass Gang fans that we appreciate getting a behind the scenes look into this amazing video 😊 (and it was very fun sharing the enjoyment of this with you by watching you see it for the first time.) This was so mind-blowingly bass-y and soooo well mixed and arranged and edited and... all the things 😅 (and Elliot is nuts 🤯) I’m so excited that’s it’s finally time for vol. 2!! You guys have outdone yourselves yet again with this one 😍❤️ May the bass be with you all 🙏
Great reaction, Peter! I love hearing about all the little behind-the-scenes tidbits. You guys did a great job on this! One thing that really struck me when I was watching was just how much Marwan's voice has developed over the last year. I admit his voice was never my favorite of the group because, as deep as it could go, it still sounded young, which wasn't as pleasant to my ear. That said, I loved how he sounded in this video! Still young, but definitely more mature than it was last year, and I can't wait to hear how it develops in the future.
SOOO good! I gotta admit, I was waiting for Tomi to take that octave slide even higher, I know he has it. Thank you for opening my world to the rest of the basses of the world. I knew about Avi Kaplan, and Geoff Castellucci, Tim Foust... Then The Bass Gang... And now I'm introduced to Elliott Robinson... bruh. I sang Bass II in HS, Avi alone made me say "nope... I'm a baritone at best!" Even I'm like "holy crap the bassiness has bassiness!"
I loved watching ur genuine reaction to this first viewing. The smiles man....THE SMILES! That just says it all honestly. I watched the original right before ur reaction and just goosebumps, u guys did such an amazing job as always. But this one was so moving and deep not just bass but deep in the feels. And Tomi with that run up omg so crazy. And Marwan with that high high wow! This is also as visually appealing as it is vocally. I really cannot wait to see where u guys take it from here. Wow
Wow, over 50 views in the first minute of being posted. I thought I was early but turns out I was late lmao. So excited to see your breakdown of your guys’ work. Watched Mortius and Tomi earlier, definitely looking forward to this.
YESSSSSS, this is VERY VERY SPECIAL. Probably the best rendition I've ever heard of this beautiful song. Thank you for introducing them to me. I've added them to my playlist and will be enjoying them on a regular basis.
I missed this on Patreon yesterday and I could just kick myself. I spent an entire twenty-four hours without this in my life. SO GOOD!!! The best ear candy ever.💖
Amazing collaboration guys! One thing I didn’t hear you comment on was the looooong sustained high notes at the end. I had listened to this song dozens of times, always focused on the bass, then a couple days ago I paid attention to that high voice in the background at the end and it gave me chills listening to that beautiful voice along with the bass. So well done guys! Keep it up!
Stunning is the right word for this artwork. I’ve watched you and the others individually for quite some time. It feels so good to see the pure joy in your face. Can’t wait to see what’s next. 🐍😎
Mentioned several times that Elliott is a "legend" and been around a long time. Just shook loose an old memory...am I correct in recalling him the bass in the legendary Nylons group out of Canada? Have those CDs buried somewhere and will dig out, and fortunate to have seen them in concert several times...miss them. Their live version of "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" may well be the best I've seen! Thanks for the memory! Well done!
I see the resemblance but I believe you're thinking of Arnold Robinson, bass singer with The Nylons 1981-2006. I **worshipped** The Nylons back in the day 🙏🏻🖖🏻🙇🏻 - When I finally bought 1 of their albums & saw a group photo I was astonished that that toe-curling bass came out of this skinny li'l string bean of a fella.... 🤓
@@catriverotter9527 Thanks for setting me straight. Had I taken the time to do a little research, could've gotten that...and sadly found Arnold had passed away in 2013 (as apparently have all but one original member, Claude Morrison). But there truly is a resemblance, and the same last name and silky legit bass! What was neat was the Nylons made a cappella cool before it became cool again...lucky to have been around then! Thanks again!
This is wonderful! I’ve been sharing it all over to friends! Gorgeous visual accompanying an amazing arrangement and you guys! Wow! You sound so terrific! Great editing too!
First encountered Elliott on Marcello Bass's bass battle. Absolutely amazed. So glad to hear him here. You probably ought to have them on for any time Elliott has lead.
I know this is old, but it's fairly new to me. Not only do I love the song and arrangement, I LOVE your enthusiasm over it PB! WELL earned my friend!! 🫶
@PeterBarber Saw Bobby with the Wellermen in Pgh on 6/24. Great show, had a great time and loving my signed tee shirt! Now it's y'alls turn! Bring us a Bass Gang tour brother!!! 🥰✊️
This is great! You have to be so proud!!!!! Wonderful to hear so many amazing bass singers!!!! I love the bass voices! Thank you for sharing your vocal talent!
Peter, comprendo la tua emozione perchè il lavoro che avete fatto è STUPEFACENTE.... Fantastico!!!! Siete meravigliosi, incredibili... non ho altre parole se non GRAZIE P.S B&W is perfect !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Love Teresa IT
Are you tryna tell me that Elliott wasn’t showing off? Most of that middle part when he was in the shoot he looked like he was really feeling himself. Anyways, you guys are awesome and Elliott only made it even better. Keep up the good work!
Didn't have time to comment when I first heard it last month, but really appreciate the "inside look" reaction ... and of course, the singing was awesome.
I was listening with headphones and I could feel that last note not only in my ears and head, but in my chest as well. BTW… I knew Bobby was on TikTok (came on my FYP one day), now I have to search and follow the rest of you!!
I do agree with the drums choice. In the Emperor's New Clothes, it took me a while to get used to the beatboxing, to me it just kind of got lost within all the voices. In this song, the hard hitting moments really _do_ hit hard. Love it. :)
Pls react to Pentatonix: Love Again. Also, genuinely good analysis, I couldn't hear most of those background notes that you could, but I did hear Elliott's D1 and everything.
I love the subtle details! Like how the "Lead Moments" you guys swap to a black shirt, then background vocals are white shirts. Amazing!
I don’t have words. You guys just redefined what is possible with the human voice. This is EXTRAORDINARY!!! The needle has been moved, the frontier pushed. Amazing. Awesome. Bravissimo!!!!
Blown away!!!!!! Goosebumps from the first note!!!! Mad World, is one of my favorite songs. (Tears for Fears)
Same (nightcore)
You should be so proud of this, Peter. This is fabulous. And yeah, I love that you guys are interacting-just saw Tomi on Mortius’ channel.
I hope you’re feeling better!!
That fan girling "oh my god" at the end of your first watch through! LOL
First time in my life I heard a breathy chest D1 😳
Please, Peter... tell Elliot to work with scientists who publish in the Choral Journal.

Just realized the ones wearing the black shirts are the ones singing the lead at each time
Great to see from the inside as well, brother! Amazing work! (also, thanks for clarifying on the drums!)
Yea, I'm gonna need Elliot to make more music lol. Beautiful voice
I was hoping you would do a behind the scene's reaction to this and the rest of May the Bass be With You Vol. II. This was AWESOME!!! Looking forward to the rest of the videos! May the Bass be with you too!

Couldn't agree more -- his voice is something else!
I wonder what Home Free would be like if Elliot had stayed and Tim didn't join
@@sarahkinsey5434 Oooh. Didn't know he sang with them..

Just recently heard this for the first time and I just canNOT get enough!!! LOVE IT! GREAT JOB!!!
I can't stop listening to this. Just chills. The harmonies kill me. So good!
Bobby the man with the beard? He has pure velvet voice. I am excited for all of you!
I think in those chords your voice stands out the most. That chest-fry is powerful and you can hear that over any other voice.
That smile on your face says it all! Great work!
I didn't expect that you could record something eaven more georgeous than "emperiours new clothes" wow

SUPER FREAKING AWESOME!!!!!!!!! Im sending THE BASS GANG TO ALL MY PEOPLE!!!

That is a vocal earthquake at the end!
