One of the most unique voices in the game! I hope you enjoy the analysis of my friend Colm's most popular release of all time. Anything else from Colm I should check out?
My favs include but are not limited to: Come Out Ye Black and Tans, The Humours of Whiskey, The Chemical Workers Song, Foggy Dew, Going Up That Hill.... ummmm, most of them?
I second "any of them," but specifically "Folsom Prison Blues," which he released a couple weeks ago. That one *Really* highlights the breadth of his range (including high belting), and also his rocking out on guitar.
I love Colm McGuiness. I am fascinated by how he holds his mouth, but especially when he harmonizes with himself. And that eerie low voice gives me shivers. Beautiful high notes. Every song he sings is interesting and original. Play as much as you want of Colm.
I am also intrigued by his unique expression/mouth posture and wonder if it has to do with his technique or is just a quirk. I'd love to see an analysis of him doing a song with a little more complexity.
I am in Heaven. I Found Peter when Colm did Misty mountains with Bobby and the other Base people. Colm saved our household through covid. You guys are amazing
I discovered Colm through Critical Role. He had composed and performed Welcome to Wildmount for them and I was in love with the piece. I looked in the credits and found his name and looked him up on You Tube. And you are so right he was such an anchor during Covid.
It sure is a wonderful time when RUclips gives me a run of "Hoist the Colours" covers. Colm's voice is otherworldly. It's beautiful to see so many friendships making up the Bass Singer Community.
This is easily my favorite piece bi Colm, and I really wish it was longer. Would love to hear you go over more of his music. His LotR pieces are great.
I've been doing my lowest notes the way Colm does, and this whole time I had no idea what that was exactly. Apparently I'm just using a ton of compression
Thanks for the explanation of Colm's unusual low voice. I'm glad he doesn't go in for electronic modulation--auto tune would remove all the color from his vocals.
Love the breakdowns, learning a lot found you through song of durin. Have you done the Daughter of the Sea that was in the suggested videos at the end of Colm?
If you enjoyed this one, you should definitely react to his 2022 Full Edition of the song! It has a lot of differences to this one while still clearly by the same person!
Colm is an amazing singer. And musician. His Whisky in the Jar is great, seeing him playing all those instruments. I actually prefer his cover to the recent one from VP.. Sacrilege, I know. :) But that's due to my Irish genes I suppose. In some of his videos his use of tongue movement is very obvious. And quite fascinating.

Colm also did Folsom prison blues and there some other sea shanty and hobbit songs he did

Ghost Riders in the Sky, Folsom Prison Blues, and Hell's Comin' with Me, are favourites of mine
His favs of mine are Sleeping the Cold Below from Warframe and Chemical Workers Song.

Yes! It's mind-blowing.
He has such a crazy range and gorgeous voice! Can't wait to hear you do more!
With the three shots next to each other, you can see the different physicality of how he achieves the notes
Congratulations on reaching 130K subscribers!!! 🎉🎉🎉
Colm has an amazing voice! Great reaction and analysis as always!
Thanks for explaining his technique.
I also sound like that when I pull back my tongue.
I must say, I lve Colms voice and his accent

I always learn something interesting. Thank you!
I love this man's absolutely amazing vocal and instrumental talent. Colm keeps doing better and better with each new release.
Nothing like a cup of Peter in the morning. Great way to start my day! ❤ Love your analysis. I am not a pro singer, but I love trying.
Wow. I slept through all those notifications. But that list of Patrons is getting...interesting.
Oh, this will be good! And, again, only interviews of the quality you produce are enough to wake me up at 6am lol
Looking forward to you doing more analysis of Colm’s unique and intriguing voice.

I hope you get a full interwiev with Colm.. Or if you have, i just cant find it.
I would love if you react to his new cover of Phantom of the Opera. It was stunning.
MORE COLM!!! WOOOOO!
You want to hear what might possibly be his lowest note, listen to Folsom Prison Blues. He hits some ungodly low notes
I don't know if you've planned on doing it but please do voiceplay's newest "whisky in the jar", Geoff does something but I don't want to spoil it.
Congrats on 130K! Colm is amazing!

Thank you Peter, interesting as always.
Do his cover of Be Prepared!
Idk who this is, but I loved it!
He should do orthodox Christian’s singing
U should try listening to Colm's ragnarök
Hello, I wonder if you can do Sissel kirkjebo "Slow down"?
When you will react STAND UP or MY ALL from gabriel Henrique?
Привет, Питер!😘💞❤💙👍🌹
Please react to his ghost riders in the sky - it's fantastic!
Cut it down you can explain everything in 1/4 time
Fun song, fine reaction.
Colm looks less colmy to me than these days, even though this was not that long ago. Strange.
