It's a shame that a lot of Das Erste idents and advertising bumpers from 2010 onwards are missing. I'm really hope that someone can find all of these, especially the ones between 2013 and 2016... And don't get me started on special idents/ad bumpers, which similarly a lot of them are missing (Although, shoutout to JamXmix for archiving some of the more recent Das Erste idents/ad bumpers, including those beautiful Christmas ones!) Also, another thing that I'm really sure (if everyone are reading this): There is an updated version of the advertising (end) bumper at 3:03, which uses the "WERBUNG" rectangle (from the November 2015 refresh) instead of the "Werbung" strip as seen in the video. This makes me doubt if all of the ad bumpers from 2013/2014 were updated when the channel rebranded in November 2015. *IMPORTANT NOTE (10th September 2024):* To all of the pres fans (especially Germans)... A lot of idents in this compilation were no longer exist on RUclips (I noticed that BroadcastMirror just got deleted, which is a BIG F) which means that a lot of Das Erste idents - especially the ones between 2010-2016, have become very rare (or even lost) again... If any of you manage to archive the original videos (especially from the aforementioned RUclips channel) before, I would VERY appreciate for that!
You need to think about the written sentence. German television is younger than British television. And this is not an ITV Wannabe, because Das Erste is a German television station that was founded in 1950 and is primarily financed by a fee. ITV is a private television station, primarily financed by advertising. ITV was not founded until 1955 in 1955. Find the mistake. You can’t compare Das Erste, which is a public broadcaster, to ITV, a private broadcaster.
@@alextendo1 I do not know how the system of public broadcasters is structured in the UK. (What I know is that the BBC is a part of it.) In Germany, however, it is the case that public television stations such as Das Erste or Zweite Deutsche Fernsehen are financed with public funds and stations such as RTL or ProSieben are financed with advertising.
@@daniellp021 You are both right, though you (Daniel) are more right! When a British viewer sees these idents, it reminds them of the 20th century ITV, because it was a network of regional broadcasters that joined together for certain programmes, in contrast to the BBC which (like ZDF) was a nationwide station without little/no regional programmes. Also, in British broadcasting jargon, ITV *is* a public broadcaster(!), because in the 20th century its transmitters were state-owned and the programme content was heavily regulated. If ZDF was funded only by adverts, would that make it a private broadcaster? I don't think so. In conclusion, it was childish to describe ARD as a "ITV wannabe", but the British and German systems don't match up and comparing ARD with ITV is interesting.
bro i'd wish our public broadcaster had idents like these instead we have a messed up graphics package made for a rebrand that was ultimately undone yes I'm speaking about TVP, can't even have a normal public broadcaster here smh
I love the 1985 one because the logo panes can flip

1984-1996 Are the best
🎶Aaa-eeer-deeehee🎶
Yeah...The theme used on 1984-1996 idents somehow resembles the spelling of "ARD"!

Wow

One of the ITV wannabes in the world. Albeit it came before said network.

That’s because regional public members are like ITV in public.
