    Hi, I am selected as one of the GKS scholar this year. I had a question, isn't health insurance supposed to be paid by NIIED?? It is written on their guidelines that they are going to give money for the insurance which is seperate from 1M won.

    • @justintime08
      @justintime08  2 года назад +4

      Hi! Yes it is part of the money from NIIED. What wi happen is, when you completed 6 months in korea, that will be the start for the NHIS insurance. Prior to that, scholars are secured under private insurance companies.
      Afted 6 months, you will pay 55k won per month then NIIED will reimbure the money before you start your graduate school

      There are a lot of scholarships in Korea. But if you wont apply to those, you will need to pay.
      Gks is a fully funded scholarship. The government of Korea pays your tuition, gives you monthly allowance to live and survive in Korea
