Hi, how long do you have to wait to have the ability to rent an apartment and leave the dormitory? i’ve heard the first couple of months you cant move out from the dormitory
Hi, I am selected as one of the GKS scholar this year. I had a question, isn't health insurance supposed to be paid by NIIED?? It is written on their guidelines that they are going to give money for the insurance which is seperate from 1M won.
Hi! Yes it is part of the money from NIIED. What wi happen is, when you completed 6 months in korea, that will be the start for the NHIS insurance. Prior to that, scholars are secured under private insurance companies. Afted 6 months, you will pay 55k won per month then NIIED will reimbure the money before you start your graduate school
@@justintime08 I see, thank you so much for the heads-up and clarification!!! I freaked out for a moment 😂 but it's clear now. I need to save from Day 1.
Hi i have a little question , i hope i'm not late and you will see this comment . I am still new to all these universities and stuff , and i'm still young but i care a lot about my future and i want to study in korea ! I've watched many videos about gks but i still don't understand , is it free to study there ? like do you need to pay the university every month / semester or is korea paying the schoolarship for you ? Please answer i am very confused . And thank you for this very nice video :)
There are a lot of scholarships in Korea. But if you wont apply to those, you will need to pay. Gks is a fully funded scholarship. The government of Korea pays your tuition, gives you monthly allowance to live and survive in Korea
@@justintime08 So the travel to korea is payed by the government of korea ? or you have to pay it by yourself ? also do they give you the allowance the first day you arrive to korea or you have to bring some money with you .
Hi can i ask like how convenient was it to learn in korean was it ok after the language training program. Biggest problem i have is whether i can get good enough in Korean language to understand and study engineering korean.

Hello, thanks for this. May i ask if the dormitory fee is not included with the scholarship grant? It will be deducted on the allowance given per month? Thanksss.
Hi Jezi, some universities provide free dorms to GKS scholars. But for the majority, the dorm fee is paid using the living allowance given by NIIED
