Hello Brian.
After watching your review of the Spitfire, over a year ago, I bought an eachine Spitfire, having never flown an RC plane. It has been a brilliant introduction to RC flying. I've crashed it, broke a few props, lost it, found it, been hit by it and it still comes back for more. It probably isn't the best beginner plane to buy as it flies quite quickly, but the gyro stabilisation is brilliant and it looks magnificent in the air, if you're not a scale freak.
Many many thanks!
Whole 400mm series is just pure gold. Waiting to get my Spitfire delivered :D
I'm in that process of waiting myself... How happy are you with the little device after one year?
I haven’t used RC’s for 4 years and saw this and ordered right away! Very excited to get back into it! I can’t believe how well this flys being so small!
Hope you enjoy it!
Love this 400mm warbird class am new to this hobby and I'm all ready hooked.
Welcome aboard! 400mm's are super fun!!!
Dead nut review! Best 400mm RTF planes ever made, period. I have quite a collection of these Eachine warbirds, and they're so awesome in every way. Look great, fly great, crash resistant AF, and the 6 axis gyro make them so stable and forgiving. In beginner mode, there's nothing better ever made for first time flyers. Love that they've greatly improved the landing gear too.
Yes! Add an OpenTx transmitter, and they're even better ;)
Ä
I have the Eachine Spitfire. What OpenTX did you get. @@stigeriksson1777
New flyer here just for the 109 and man I’m blown away with how much fun I’ve had and the progress of my learning. Can’t wait to try intermediate soon when I’ve gone out a few more times. Great video appreciate the solid review and dope flying 😊
Note spelling on manual SPITFIER. Have ordered one of these, I have the P51 and 109, I have had so much pleasure flying these they have their own flying characteristic's, haven't flown RC for about 15 years can't believe how far its progressed.
LOL - Gotta love the spelling issues ;)
My first RC plane. Cant wait for my Zero to arrive. I also ordered Radiomaster tx16mk2 4in1.
Few times controlls didnt respond on radio that comes with it. Plane was not far away from me and batteries are new. I think problem is in transmitter
Thanks for sharing, Happy Holidays!
Thanks Robert, and Happy Holidays to you too!
FYI I am on MPM v1.3.3.20 in a RadioMaster TX16s w/EdgeTX 2.8, and just got the Ranger 400 & F4U Corsair models. There's a bug and you have to turn "Low Power Mode" ON to get it to work. Without that, the radio will bind, but not control anything. Works great once Low Power Mode is turned On! (Mar 2023)
YOU ARE SO FUNNY MY FRIEND..FLYING PLANES
..IN THE HOUSE..😆😆😆😆
YES!
Interesting - a micro spitfire for a first plane??? Holee cow. "Best scale lines we've seen" - on a Spitfire? For real? Watched to the end again :)
Best scale lines out of the 400mm Warbird Series from Eachine...sorry, I thought that was obvious, but you're not the first to have heard me wrong on that comment.
Kudos to the camera crew aka Meghan. I was getting dizzy watching this so I can only imagine what she was feeling following this awesome little bugger around the Phillips Ranch sky’s lol Awesome job as always Camera Crew and of course always an awesome job flying Brian. Merry Christmas to you and your family 🎄
Thanks Paul ;) It's our pleasure to get dizzy for the perfect shot - LOL - Merry Christmas!
Good morning Brian, handsome and very fast, the model airplane...I'm your fan and I want to congratulate you for the image in the video, it looks like I'm there with you, congratulations!!!
Thanks Danilo! This plane is very nice looking ;)
Its in Johnnie Johnsons scheme as well! Nice gotta get one to go with my 1.2m spitfire now.
for sure!
Yea it flies good, look who's on the sticks. They all fly well with ice ice baby. 🤣
LOL - Nice new nick name!!!
I really like the sound this little plane makes, the sound is better than a big 800mm or 1100mm RC, I wonder if the manufacture did something special to make the sound similar to a real wwii plane.
Not sure that it's any different than the rest of the 400mm warbirds, but very glad you enjoy the sound of it ;)
항상 재미있게 보고있어요. 즐거운영상 감사합니다.
You're very welcome! Thanks for stopping in ;)
@@BrianPhillipsRC 나도 잘 보고 있어. 브라이언! ㅋㅋ
Hi Brain,
which one do you prefer, the P51 or the spitfire?
Merry Christmas !!!!!
Merry Christmas to you Johnny! Thanks for being here with us :)
And thank you for that fly away prevention information..it was truly needed..👍👍👍
Sure thing!
Fun little spitfire 👍🏻. Have a great Christmas guys. 🎄
Thanks, you too Dad's RC Hangar!
Mine got eaten by a mouse last week,it was uncrashed and in the box,the mouse went through the cardboard AND the packaging polystyrene and pretty much ate the whole plane.Ironically it only ate small bits of my P51,which has been crashed and repaired a LOT ! Anyways,I put three 5p coins in the front of the spit, and it flies and tracks WAY better…until the mouse ate it.(I keep it at my Caravan)
That is hilarious, but very sorry for your loss!!!
Looks like you got your ears lowered there son. Thanks for video.
LOL - Yeah, I did ;)
Just got one.
Waiting for the wind to drop.
I hate waiting for wind to die down!!!!
Love your reviews and videos, so detailed and helpful! I want to start in the hobby and these micro planes look like a nice place to start. I just can't decide between the eachine spitfire or the eachine corsair. (Also really like the eflite corsair with gyro, great videos!).
..aNSWER: Get them ALL! Naw , Im only on number 4 ( 2 Axis..2 Allied planes) CORSAIR has lasted a SOLID year..2 servo repairs...Wings off twice. Cant ever Fault that F4U. My FIRST! and Fave. Its seems the Spit has much bigger surfaces( not ailerons..just wing area and Elevator..Wants to CLIMB!! even with mech/ trim and or elec trim. I may weight the nose).
Drill these? into the ground 10 times..then? get an AEROSCOUT ( and dont auger it in). AERO next step UP! Sooo easy to fly.
Seems like a nice little airplane. You guys make a wonderful film team 🎥 . You have such a gift for knowing what to say and how to cover everything and make it fun to watch. Love your RUclips channel.
I have a HobbyZone Sportsman S+, it came with Safe, GPS return home and self land features. I have crashed it several times while learning to fly, and it's getting kind of rugged looking for sure. My question is, will the Safe and GPS function correctly and do what they're supposed do if I put them in another plane when this one becomes unflyable ?
Thanks Buster! Glad you're enjoying the content. Megan and I work very hard to make quality videos and keep things exciting and informational, so we're very glad to hear it's working for you ;)
As for GPS+ from Horizon Hobby...this is a system I don't recommend, even thought it does work to a degree. I have always thought it way too complicated, with FAR too little operator feedback to be an effective system. This system will lead to a false sense of security, which will lead to fly-aways, and loads of frustration when there isn't one...HOWEVER, if you've worked through the process of learning how to get the plane flying, then you could take the system out of the Sportsman S+ and put it into another similar plane, but you will find minor details that have to be worked out, for example, if the elevator is going the wrong direction, you have to get a servo signal reverser, you can't just reprogram that channel in your Rx to go the other direction....since the AS3X and SAFE will not know what happened.
Also, I would encourage people to use SAFE Select, and just keep moving through the ranks. If you're like me, you'll outpace the need for such a GPS system. These aids are very quickly outgrown, and I feel they're just plain too expensive and complex. IF HH or any other company wants to make a good feedback system (not a single LED btw) then I think this would help, but it's still going to have some of the same inherent problems I complained about....too complicated and still too expensive for most...just get us auto-leveling, and let each pilot's brain get working ASAP ;) Most pilots will have these issues sorted out in the first few weeks of flying, then it'll be an occasional "oops" to deal with...part of learning to fly RC.
Good luck with your radio system move, if you decide to do it.
@@BrianPhillipsRC idk if you have the BF109 or not but im curious if it will glide better or worse then the spitfire.. i have the BF109 and these newer models have way better construction impressed with the power and response with the BF109 they made these little planes flying tanks
Probably going to get this one next. I've got the thunderbolt already. Just a side note, if you get the P47 be prepared to raid your parts bin for longer screws as the supplied ones are too short.
YEP....and some counterweight!
@@BrianPhillipsRC I know it won't be easy, but what's your opinion on swapping in a brushless and a 4 blade prop? Just my opinion, but I think the 2 blade looks goofy.
Excellent little flyer here bud !
Thanks 👍
thanks!
Welcome!
For those of us that aren't as advanced a flyer as you are could you show how these planes work out of the box. Then talk about needed adjustments. So what's the improvement. And then after that do your adjustments and show us what the plane is capable of. Anyway, enjoy your channel.
That is what we do and have done for literally thousands of videos.
I just got the 400mm T-28 last week.totally surprised at how well it flew. I’ll have to get this, hopefully it’ll be here by early spring.😜😄😅🤣
The 3 blade prop is a perfect look for the T-28 ;) Love the T-28 so much. One of my favorite planes, which is hilarious, since I didn't like it before I got into RC planes?!??!?! Weird right?!?!?
I have 3 T-28's now, 400 mm Echine, 1.1m Eflite, and the CZ T-28 which I got off of FB and have not flown yet. Waiting for better weather in SW Kansas. The two small ones fly soo darn good. I drive truck and take the small planes with me to fly on my down time on the road. Speaking of which I'll be passing through your area tomorrow on the way to Minnesota. Anyway Merry Christmas to you and your family /Camera Crew. 🎄✈️🎄
Good deal, good job man
Thanks! This plane is nice! The way they [Eachine RTF planes] should be - quick and easy
Do you think Horizon will have a new line or upgraded UMX planes in the near future?
Man I certainly hope so!
@@theoztreecrasher2647 But look at it...I have Spitfires fly over my house nearly every day in the summer so I know the outline well, this is the furthest from scale I have seen an RC Spitfire for years.
@@theoztreecrasher2647 I get what you mean about the cost of the UMX models though, in the UK the UMX Turbo Timber is about £180 for just the plane and the A10 is over £200 - thats nuts! I get mine second hand usually around the £100 mark which still feels steep although some of them have proved to be genuinely exceptional flyers.
yes. they will - working on it - chip shortage has it on hold.
Great job as always, thank you.
Thanks G Bro!
SCARY THING
LOL ;)
Thanks Brian. Just bought it on Banggood.
Love your content. And merry Xmas and happy new year to you and yours!
Same to you!
Great enthusiastic video.
Thanks! I really love flying, and love when a plane works well, even if it's a basic, smaller plane.
I can only recommend the Spektrum S44 Smart Micro 4 port AC/DC 1S LiPo charger, it is really easy to use. A good bang for the bucks too
100% makes charging small packs a breeze, and super fast too
I would love to see you fly the echines with a better transmitter and try some tricks
Me too, but I'm not going to waste my time on the Jumper T8SG that I have...I've been let down WAY too many times to re-investigate this...I WOULD consider the Eachine or Radiomaster for such an exercise ;)
I fly all my planes, mostly E-flite BNF releases but also these Eachine 400mm warbirds on a Jumper T-12 Pro and they are great, so much better than with the Tx supplied. I only got into RC planes in spring of 2020, the Eachine 400mm P-51d being my first plane. Unfortunately when I stepped up to E-flite BNF models and got a Spektrum DX8e it broke after only 5 weeks of (heavy) use. This is when I invested in the T12 and haven’t looked back since. It now has 33 models on it. I was brave enough recently to open up the DX8e and I actually fixed it, but I haven’t gone back to using it, I also about a year ago got a Radiomaster but haven’t used it either. I am very tempted to get a NX8 or NX10 but they are so comparatively expensive, the T12 cost me $89.99, but until it dies I don’t think the NX purchase will be soon, I do wish Spektrum was a little more price competitive with their Tx’s. I do love their smart lipos btw though, and have 54 of them across 3/4/6S. They are most definitely worth the price premium imho.
by the way, discovered there is kind if telemtry to monitor the battery, the sender beeps at around 9-10 minutes until I disconnect the plane battery. For this price, really amazing.
REALLY?!??!
it’s my conclusion, new batteries in the sender and when I unplugged the battery in the plane it stops. I do not have had yet with the Corsair (older model). By the way there is a distinctive flight difference between the two, the Corsair is fairer than the Spit, I started flying in expert mode with the Corsair, the Spit is still beyond my skills in expert mode.
@@BrianPhillipsRC I can confirm, there is telemetry for the battery in the plane, just awesome
Man only if I could hook up my Spektrum DX6 radio to these I would have the complete series!
It would be nice if they had DSMX/DSM2 support, but then they'd be more pricey.
@@BrianPhillipsRC just label the controllers thats what i do with a white paint marker on the back lol
@@theoztreecrasher2647 because a paint marker is cheaper
Everyone love flying these. Are they more fun than bigger planes?
What a beautiful looking plane!
Thanks!
i agree the BF109 was so a much better quality then the trojan
I love the Looks of the new ones, but the T-28 flies great! Now for a 3 bladed prop on the T-28 - It fits ;)

You're very welcome! So glad you're here with us!
당신은 매우 환영합니다! 당신이 우리와 함께 여기 와서 정말 기쁩니다!
Just purchased this Spitfire my good friend..and hop this one doesn't fly away..like the
Hobbyzone sport cub s2 did on its first flight..🤔🤔🤔
I see comments in reverse order, so not sure what you're talking about...but I suspect I will soon find out ;)
Brian, do you ever do an ARF? I realize how time consuming it can be but so helpful to those of us who are new to the sport and want to learn. I'm interested in Nexa A36 Bonanza, that would be a great one to do.
Hangar 9 P-51D 20cc 😊 do I! t
I have done a few ARF's, most recently the amazing beauty by Dancing Wings, their take on the PT-17....and we've done the Hangar 9 Ultra Stick, and the Hangar 9 P-47D. A few more in the course of events, but you're right, they do take a lot of time, so it's tough for us to make them work in our flow of projects. We will do them, but they need to be a "special" project ;)
It looks brill Brian as soon as it was on sale i ordered one from Banggood not flown it yet though? but glad you have I knew it would fly as good as it looked my favourite plane spitfire 👍
Very cool indeed! Get that beauty up in the air!!!
Hi Brian. New to flying, so when turning on the TX for the very first time, ( to bind) should the stabilization switch be in beginner or expert mode?. Many Thanks
Ohhh Brian, You Just Needed To Use More Post-It-Notes Or A String Off The Ceiling Fan!? LMAO 😜🤣
I did a lot off camera ;) LOL!!!
My Banggood despatch was within hours of purchase and arrive UK doorstep around 6 days later
:)
First impression is that control movement is very crude and that throttle oesnt have much of a speed range - yet to fly
ps the 3rd battery option was only around a dollar more!!
WOW! Wish we got the planes that quick!!! Good for you David ;)
@@BrianPhillipsRC I was amazed it was possible! - Usually however more like 3 weeks.
Yet to fly the Spit, shall report back with my findings
NIIIICE I'm definitely getting one of these this spring I just can't make up my mind which one I want lol
Merry Christmas Brian and family ✌️
If you can't - I suggest the T-28. Flies amazing, and easier on the landings since the nose gear helps to further protect the prop.

I've been flying a habu 4s for a couple months. I remain in safe mode, still learning, but itching for a 'more scale' jet with some speed. I'd most likely fly whatever I get mainly on safe as well. Any suggestions for my next step?
Is that a new camera i see?
sure is ;)
Here is the Eachine Spitfire, resplendent with the vertical stabilizer from a Short Sunderland ........
The distance between the trailing edge of the wing and the horizontal stabilizer is also a tad short, it feels a bit "compressed".
@@theoztreecrasher2647 Lol, well this time they did it for you, it comes "pre-compressed", so you don't have to run it into something. ;-)
@@theoztreecrasher2647 Best wishes to you too. After two years of madness it does start to become somewhat depressing. Also (temporarily) lost a few good flying spots due to covid. But somehow the RC hobby still keeps me mostly sane. Assuming I was ever sane, to begin with. ;-)

You are by far the best youtuber for rc planes! Your channel is great!
What do you think is the best eachine aircraft of this type? (mustang, corsair, trojan ...)

Awesome flying and filming ! Fun thought Brian just as you said "Yes their is muti-protocol radio's", it's as if you pulled that right from my brain, that made me laugh and smile real big . Have you ever dabbled with the RadioMaster TX16S ? It would be real awesome if you have . I have be thinking of getting me one and it would be nice if you could help out with them too. You are the best Pal ... Thanks camera crew that little plane would be hard to film.
I love my TX16S. It's been a great radio so far and so versatile.
I want to get one, but haven't to date...I have the Jumper T8SG, but was super under-whelmed with the setup...way too many steps, and I already over-complicate most things in my life ;) LOL
I have the TX16S and have set up several of my Eachine mini warbirds on it, much better, but I'll have to say even with some helpful videos on RUclips the learning curve is at the very least 'annoying' setting it up. Even trying to get a current list of what various planes use which protocols is 'annoying'. So much so that I haven't any more planes to it in the last 6 months, instead focusing on the Spektrum ecosystem adding SAFE and Telemetry equipped RXs to brands other than E-flite which has kept me 'entertained' lately. I have made Word documents detailing the setup of the TX16S with text and pictures and feel I would have to rely on that next time I add another plane to it.
I just purchased a Rage R/C Spitfire. I have only flown it once, but I was impressed, considering what it it is. I haven't flown a fixed wing R/C in 20 years (and not much drown flight time). I was surprised how well it flew. Granted I flew in in full assist mode, but even considering that it was a good little flyer. After watching your video, it appears as if your E-chines Spit looks more detailed. Have you compared the two?
Not specifically, but I'm guessing they VERY similar.
P.S..I noticed that you used a black marker to mark the transmitter..maby try using a piece of white masking tape to put on your transmitters then mark them with your black marker..it would truly be better to see and find the right transmitter for your rc
Planes or other..😊😊👍👍👍
I don't care that I have to look close, thus the black marker. I get that you could use a label maker or the like, but it's just not a huge issue for me. We have probably 75 of these little planes, and they get hard to keep straight without marking them.
Hi Brian! nice review as always! i just bought the FMS asw 17 glider :) but i was wondering if u could help me with something. I am lokking for a aluminium spinner for my conscendo evolution and ofcourse the asw 17, because i think the plastic one its not the best one for 4s :) but i dont know where to buy them, so if u know i will realy apriciated the link! tnx and keep the good work! Best from Slovenia, Miha.
There's a place in Oregon that does good work on Sail planes... aloft hobbies
I think you need a He-Shed, for lipo safety reasons! lol
We are in full agreement that we need a SHED period ;) 60X80X20 is the plan for now, with a large driveway too ;)
An excellent video, thanks. Could you recommend a slightly more expensive Tx for the eachine planes.
There's a few Open TX transmitters that are said to work, but I've had mixed results, personally. For this reason, I don't know that I'm the guy to ask.
Radio Master - amzn.to/3pw29WA
TX16S is the one I keep hearing about.
Might be a good choice, from what I understand.
Very Nice btw. So if it can be binded with a more sophisticated radio like the Radiomaster TX16S would the three-mode Beginner-intermediate-expert mode button be still available?
Yes, you just have to make that switch assignment and make the positions where you want them on that switch. It's tough, since we don't ever get any documentation, so someone has to play with the setup and figure it out, and I've long since given up wasting my time to do this with these fun 400mm planes. Trouble is, they fly a LOT better with the better Tx, so we don't want to be deceptive with our review - hope this makes sense.
Thanks you so much for the promt answer, I love your videos guys. Thanks to your "camera crew" too 🎥
do the controllers for these eachine warbirds /spitfire/p51 etc have a transmission channel changer? on the controller? so it would be possible to fly more than one at once?
They are bound, and they can be flown more than one at a time, but when you are trying this, just take a second and test each plane to make sure you don't have any overlap...but according to the MFG, I suspect they'd tell you that you don't have to do this.
Hope this answers your quesiton!
Just seen this great video 👍 I’m into rc cars but have flown rc planes many years ago and they were petrol. This looks excellent as an entry back into rc planes and so much fun 🤩. Great stuff I subscribed and may get one? It’s a spitfire 👌😎
Yeah, this is modeled after a Spitfire, and would be a great fun entry back into RC planes, but please keep in mind, this is almost toy grade, so not going to be near as good flying as a hobby grade plane, like the UMX Turbo Timber. We have videos on most of the planes you might be interested in, by the way...just search the channel and you'll see thousands of them. We hope you can find the one that encourages you back into the air ;)
@@BrianPhillipsRC Thanks 🙏 for the advice it seems a case of choosing wisely and starting with maybe an entry level hobby grade plane? I will watch some more of your videos I didn’t realise how reasonably priced you can get yourself in the air for!! 👌 😎
@@Andym1159 What plane did you end up with for starters? The expression 'bigger flies better' is really true in my experience, as you go from 400mm to 800mm to 1100mm to 1500mm as I have it seems each bigger plane flies easier than the next smaller one down. While there are many planes that proclaim to be good trainers I highly recommend the E-flite Apprentice STS full size, it's not only the easiest plane to fly (I have over 40 planes) but I have gotten 10 minutes or more flight times at just above stall speed.
The Spitfire is sold out 😩
NOOOOOOOO!!!
You have spiked my interest in micro models! Do you think I can bind a Flysky FSi6 with the receiver in the Spitfire (and others). How about binding with UMX/safe receivers? Any micro rx gyro have GPS. ....I want to scratch build in this scale.
I fly drones, but would this be a good first choice for learning to fly re planes

Hi Brian When you remove the flight battery does your transmitter beep continuously to as mine does until either another battery is installed into the aircraft or you switch off the transmitter? Thanks Chris
love your reviews, when i want a plane, your site is first to look for reviews. what about the FMS 800mm T28, am thinking about getting one.
Good plane! I think you'll be happy with it, but I never got the GPS working, and it didn't need it either way
Did you ever get the FMS 800mm T28? I have had one for several years and for the first year I had it I had put the battery under the pilot with velcro, not all the way forward against the firewall as it was supposed to go. This resulted in a WAY tail heavy plane and I found it nearly impossible to control and crashed it nearly every flight. I film 99% of my flights and post them in RUclips if you care to see them. Finally a few months ago I read the manual and marked the CG with UMX battery velcro and put the 1200 mAh battery all the way forward as I should have done from day one and have had several successful flights. I fly off of grass and have had numerous issues hand launching so recently put in an AR637T telemetry and AS3X SAFE RX and have had much better luck on hand launches and even flights on windy days. I've been able to fly inverted but need to keep her in closer. I am VERY impressed with the ruggedness of the plane despite my many crashes early on. I've replaced the cowl and prop once but that's it, never broke the foam. Hope this helps, I really like the addition of the AR637T and highly recommend it, no matter that it costs nearly as much as the plane itself, this is my go to smallish plane.
Another great video from the master (and her husband)! I've been waiting for Eachine to come out with the Spitfire (or as they spell it, Spitfier), and for you to have the review. Now I can order it through your link. Two questions for you: How did you move the pushrod on the elevator without breaking the control horn? And, how long are your links to the planes good for (Christmas has me tapped)?
I hope your Christmas was all that you had hoped for and here's wishing you and your family a happy and safe New year.
I DID break the control arm - LOL
Christmas was nice, now I'm gone on PPG training. I was towed up to like 500ish feet before flying back to the ground last night...today I will probably solo ;)
Brain would like to see you use a receiver out of a plane and put in another plane and program it with safe and ax3s how its done.
You mean, recycling an Rx from a crashed plane? Or you mean, reprogram it an all.
We've done it before...you just didn't know it ;)
@@BrianPhillipsRC Brian Have two or three ARE631 In other planes. Can I take one out and put in another plane and reprogram it for a new plane. Not removing from a crash plane. Just go from one plane to another
@@BrianPhillipsRC I must have miss that video because I try to see all of your video. I like all your video and I do buy planes from some of your suggestion. I'm up to 37 new plane's now and I'm just learned how to fly so a beginner plot
You should do the XKA220 it’s a p40 and it flys super nice on the expert mode and i actually prefer the expert mode
Cool! We're doing an Eachine real soon, but can't say just quite yet when
Early here. Keep up the great videos
Thanks! Will do!
Spitfire spelt wrong on user manual
Yes, and it's funny, I didn't even notice!
Good video, i have a TOPRC spitfire, and it is tail heavy.Do you know what is the C.G the Spitfire? What do you think about toprc warbird series? Thanks.
How do you receive these so fast? I order as soon as i see them and they take forever to arrive.
I've had it on order for weeks already...this was probably the fastest I've ever gotten one from BG!
Did you have transmitter issues with this one? I bought this one recently, super fun to fly but if it got more than about 50 yards away from me, it stopped responding. My buddy had a P-51 and a Corsair that did not have that problem.
Hi Brian
Is there a point in your setup that you show moving the elevator control rod to the inside hole?
As I see it I have to separate the wing to do this or is there another way…
As always great reviews and love your flying site…
Cheers
I did it to try to get more elevator authority, but it had only marginal impact, and I managed to rip the hole on the first point where it HAD been attached.
I wouldn't do it, since my change didn't improve my experience much.
@@BrianPhillipsRC thanks for the reply, this little spitfire is a dream to fly anyway and even get a scale speed as well which makes flight times a lot longer...yay!
OK the Spitfire just came back in stock. It'll be here around February LoL.
Nice!
Hi Brian, I'm still new to this hobby and thinking of getting this minis. Between P51 and Spitfire, which one did give better flying experiences in term of speed and handling?
They are so similar, you won't hardly notice a difference. They're all pretty good, but I prefer the T-28...

Last question my friend..
Does this Spitfire have rudder mixed in with the Ailarons when turning..because you didn't check for that in this review....also how much flying time with the flight battery...???
I don't know.
New to the hobby, can these mini warbirds bind to a spektrum without changing the receiver?
Unfortunately not... these run on a different protocol.
Now I have a NEW question..for you....can the break away prop assembly from this spitfire..be put on that EACHINE
Mini micro p-40..so that it will have a 3 blade propeller and fly..or no..
???..and as usual..
Love you helpful reviews..because I am a beginner..and on my very first time flying the super cub S2..IT was a fly away..
And never found that plane
After that..and yes .everything was checked before the flight..
The batteries..all the controls from the plane to the transmitter..and off it went..never to be seen again...AND I WAS TRULY NOT HAPPY ABOUT THAT..and now I have the
" RAGE " 3 channel rtf Spirit of st Louis..a beautiful plane..BUT so fragile..ONE BAD FLIGHT OR LANDING..and it's done..anyway my friend that's my update for
January 2022..and will be waiting for your response..😊👍👍👍👍
YES - I did it and fits perfect! I love the 3 blade on the T-28 - Looks SWEET
@@BrianPhillipsRC ok.so the 3 blade prop will fit on the eachine p-40..and from which plane can I use it from. Just to confirm my friend..??? Or could you do a demonstration about this
Switch over..
Great stuff, almost as great as the spitfire itself! That's SPITFIRE not spitfier? Thanks for the info. Ro666ert from Melbourne Australia.
Thanks Robert!
Ja chcę taki 😍
It's super fun, get one! Link is in the description.
What is the difference between eachine and volantexrc model? They seem the same.
They are. ;) Volantex is the "mother ship" but they also produce Eachine.
you mean VolantexRC Spitfire hahaha🤣
Cheap shot!!! LOL ;)
DUDE - I JUST realized you're doing PPG?!??! I'm about to go to training next week, I have my paraglider and kiting harness now, and will get my paramotor while at training. I'm SUPER excited!!!
Promise, not trying to copy you...I JUST realized you had some stuff on your channel.
Looking forward to these RUclips videos Brian..!!

I m complete new in flying planes and have a question. How do you check how much energy is still in your lipo-battery? Can you recommend something to check the status?
Definitely! We recommend this battery checker for every pilot tool box...
bprc.me/XBC100_BatteryChecker
It also serves as a servo tester when you get started building your own planes. A must have. Welcome!
@@BrianPhillipsRC Hi Brian, thx for your quick response. Horizon doesnt ship to Germany, so I took the RUNCCI-YUN Digital Battery Capacity Checker now, hope it will works ;)
Question my friend do you only review donated rc plans from dealers..because you have NEVER DID A REVIEW ON THE ( RAGE)
3 channel rtf Spirit of st Louis airplane..because we needed your review of this classic aircraft before making a purchase..to know if it is worth buying..its $99.00..and it's ready to fly straight from the box just like the eachine spitfire..NOW.
is that something you can do..or do you only review donated rc planes ONLY...??? Will be waiting for your response..
Emmett - I've answered this quesiton for you a number of times. Nothing has changed. We're too busy to review planes that we have to go out and buy. It's not about the money to buy a plane, it's about the value we would be bringing a manufacturer that refuses to work with us. We are trying to be taken seriously as we do what we do. There's value in what we do, and we won't work with companies that don't value us and disrespect our audience. These are some of our core principles, and we are trying to respect them.
If you want me to review the plane, you can come up with a distributor or get the manufacturer in touch with us. We have an email right in the ABOUT tab on our page.
Please send your interested companies to this email for further consideration.
Thank you my good friend for your response..I finally it here..I could not find it under your other reviews..
So thank you very much
This U.S MARINE TRULY APPRECIATES IT OF YOU.
..👍👍👍
Had my park maiden in 5-10 mph breeze..........Squirrelly?!! Yes!! - This plane is not a natural flyer, needing high airspeed to be kept aloft in a predictable direction / attitude.
It even appears to suffer random extreme inputs creating surprise deviation / ignore multiple inputs, so bad as to suspect loss of control
It loves to climb on throttle and ignores downward trim, so 'elevator hands off / yank an bank' not being an option
Lowering throttle to maintain height creates volatility / instability - add a little throttle to make thins steady...and the next thing you realise is that u have been so locked in on this tiny model, that u havent really noticed that it has gained 200 ft!!
THe lightest of breezes results in a fly away - I was still fighting it 200 ft up and 1/4 mile away, the tiniest of dots - I lost sight of it and killed throttle and held in a spin, hoping it would come down before the main road nrly 1/2 mile away....
Half hour later...I found it huddled up against boundary hedge, 2 yards from main road....approaching 1/2 mile from launch - Looks like it spun / flew into a 150 ft tree and fell through its huge branches to near the base and hedge.!
It is a 'wild child' and I am in fear of letting it loose in anything other than wide open fields - I would be first to admit that I havent flown for a couple of years, but then I had a great deal of experience with similar sized planes which I regularly thermalled into cloud base with only one loss from c 8 similar planes - These were super cheap elevator and rudder only Cubs, with 10% of wind penetration of the Spitfire
As I mentioned to Brian, I may experiment with trying to create more lift and drag to the wings to create much greater stability at half the present stall speed...which even Brian was tripping over!
The power and duration are astonishing for such a small battery - try holding it by one wing and opening the throttle....
Yes - sounds like you need to get her fixed...what you're describing HAS also happened to me. I've fixed my transmitters where there's issues with the el-chepo gimbals. Give that a look at your next rainy/snowy day and see if you agree... Move the sticks and see WHERE she jumps like crazy...then figure out why. Fix it on the beach, and keep from shenanigans at the flying field. Good luck ;)
One last thing...if you have an Open TX transmitter, think about binding her up to that, and you'll see a marked improvement in flight controls.
My final thoughts for you...this plane is not the easiest of the 400mm Warbird Series, but she did come home in one piece for you...albeit in another county, she came home ;)
Sorry but with modern gyros available there is no excuse for deviating so far away from a scale outline. Horizon Hobby, where are you when we need you? Bring back the UMX planes!
ABSOLUTELY!!!!!
I hear you, and JJ - they are....but the chip shortage put that on HOLD...not canceled... remember when they released the A-10 Twin 30mm and the Cessna Citation Longitude UMX Twin 30mm - more to come, is all I can say ;) Not necessarially soon, but coming - they told me they will be back in force, but not as many choices, from what I understand....but BETTER ones!
@@BrianPhillipsRC Thats great news!
