just when i thought i had seen all the amazing techniques you use. i see this repair, that merlin frame has to be one of the most beautiful frames of all time. the original advert for it had the entire bike pictured in a art gallery. they came built with campagnolo 10 speed record groupsets . amazing work thanks for the upload
It is wonderful to see this restoration, as I am in the process of doing the same, had to fix carbon around water bottle bolts and minor dents to the lacquer, the last step redoing all the black paint in the groves of the lugs. So, just thought I would provide some context as for the year of the bike, I think it is a 2004 or 2005 edition as Merlin stoped producing the built-in head-set cups after 2005. I had the same one from your video and it was a 2004, due to a flaw in the frame Merlin replaced it with a 2006 and it had regular strait tubing .
Oh wow! That's so cool thank you :) Gurdy tried to find the exact year but we came up with nothing! Such a fun frame to have for a restoration project - have fun!!!
A thing of beauty. Nice to see Gurdeep in front of the camera again, really like his manner. Great video 👏🏻
Thank You Simon.
Thanks! He's a great presenter.

They don’t make bikes like that anymore. 🤔 Work of art!
Did he say Merlins are now produced in Malta? 😳
He doesn't know what he is talking about. They were never made in Malta or Far East. Also the Cielo was introduced in 2003/4 so not 30 years old.
Cielos with engraving were introduced in the early 2000s - circa 2003 at the earliest. So only 20 years old not 30.
