Starbucks barista (and trainer) here, you did a great job with these. The foam your looking for is called "micro foam" which should have similar look as wet paint. The "other" latte is a toasted white mocha which you nailed. What's funny to me about these photos is that we are taught mochas should not have foam at all but Starbucks puts it in all the advertising.

Its interesting to know that you used all real ingredients for this! I always thought there was no way that foam was real, I just knew it wouldnt hold up under the lights and for any amount of time!😄

Wow they look good, the left one kind of looks like a root beer float. In Australia our lattes are just a little foamy, no toppings.
This series should have a lot more views. Not only is all the food prep fascinating, but your colorful commentary is delightful too. Not like a lot of other food videos on YT where they just robotically explain what they're doing

What exactly IS that “ stabilizing powder “ that you added to the foam?
It’s a product called Dream Whip, which is a shelf stable powder that you mix with cold milk and vanilla extract to make whipped cream. You can find it on the baking aisle of most generic grocery stores. My dad uses it in his homemade ice cream instead of using eggs and heavy cream and it turns out so creamy and delicious. Basically, that’s where I got the idea to use it as a stabilizer for milk foam. 😊- Rishon

Do you have any recommendations for the whipped cream, is there a particular type you look for?
Tbh, I usually use good old fashioned Cool Whip. It holds up super well and keeps a nice shape. However, I also like to just make regular whipped cream, especially because it’s just so pretty. Whip cold heavy cream in a cold bowl with cold beaters or whisk attachment. And using a little powdered sugar will help stabilize the cream and lightly sweetens. ♥ - Rishon
