Her form on literally every element is perfection. Even her handsprings look flawless. I honestly can't think of a single gymnast with better execution
Her tumblings are really really great, with good form in the air. But there are rooms for improvement for her dance elements, especially the switch ring. Still, I think she deserves to be included in the olympic team
Her form during the twists of her second tumbling pass are perfection. It just makes me even more annoyed at the terrible twisting form of most of the top gymnasts today.
I wonder how far she could have go in the 10 scoring system... Everything she does is so perfect, even if she doesn't have the biggest difficulties... Love her, and that floor routine attracts me at least once a month...
the judges had it out for her for some reason. Not enough difficulty or some crap. it makes no sense, she is exquisite and should be rewarded for her unbelievable position in the air. you can press pause at any moment in this routine and its a spectacular picture.
And she had a low landing on the double pike just like the chinese!! She even looks like one. Her twisting form on the 2.5 twist was perfection. Legs also feet not crossed, very impressive. Her double front >>>>>>>> Nastia’s 🤢
completely agree... she is one of the most polished floor workers the us has seen this cycle, she could easily have replaced sacramone on the floor and helped the us instead of hindered...
This girl is one to watch! She has amazing grace and also those legs were completely stuck together in all twists and somersaults. This routine is one of the best i have ever seen. Go Ivana x x
I don't think that Marta only prefers the acrobatic, dynamic gymnasts - It's true that Ivana isn't really that consistent. I doubt that she didn't get picked just because she's more artistic, it was because Marta probably thought she couldn't count on her. I love Ivana by the way!
Well she got a 9.300 which was pretty generous (and typical for a domestic meet). The Popa was pointless and didn't help her any, but that's GAGE for you. Small squat on the double front landing, low double pike, big step forward, uncontrolled third pass, and an Armine switch ring full of deductions. These are just the obvious issues.
the gage girls' form is so good it's unbelievable well not terin humphrey's but anyway btw i love how when they land the chalk on the floor kinda flies
Best double front in the history of women's gymnastics. If not men's too. I love her ending pose too. The other elite girls must've been like, "Why does she only have four tumbling passes, we have fifteen!"
@missmouse35 Of course she's improved, but she her consistency still doesn't mean she will win, her skills have to be upto Olympic standard - which they mostly are. The competition at the 2009 Worlds was quite poor, I believe her beam routine was quite wobbley, but her grace and lines are untouchable. I hope Nastia comes back! She's the queen!
This routine was much entertaining and fun than the one she had in 2009! This one is so....alive,and the end is the most interesting part of the routine! The tumbling wasn't bad at all,i really loved her double front, amazing form :) Ivana, please take back this routine!!!! :D
@NamiKage1 She competed at the 2009 Worlds and won a bronze medal on beam. She was injured shortly after and could not compete in the 2010 season. She is now moving onto gymnastics at Stanford.
In today’s scoring I bet the judges would still take 4 tenths off each for the first and second pass despite being perfect. It’s like they close their eyes and just deduct points for no reason. Unless it’s a fall there will always be 0.3-0.5 off each tumble
Legs totally glued together in tuck, legs not crossed over while doing twists, brutal power and execution , extraordinary ending pose. Why don't we have gymnasts like this anymore?
Nowadays even the GAGE gymnasts don't have that perfect form like they used to anymore. Take Leanne Wong for example, you can see her feet crossing quite significantly when she twists. Their form overall is still great, but not perfect like previous gymnasts were, like it no longer has that wow factor
Her double front may have textbook form but she lands quite low and her chest is down. On the other hand, nastia liukin's double front is extremely cowboyed but her chest is up while she lands...
I think she could have. But Marta thought she lacked consistencey, and so do I. Her lines an toe point are exceptional, but she's not Olympic standard.
..'or some crap?' Difficulty is EXTREMELY important. Her lines and form ARE amazing and nobody gets anything close to her double front but most of her landings are very low and she can't fall back on high difficulty.
@willsbob123 she really has improved since 08. she got 2nd at last years nationals and was able to pull off a bronze on BB at the 2009 worlds. her consistency is up 100%. :)
Is it just me or did almost every double pike in the olympic trials look bad. I didn't notice it at first and then after watching a few videos it just seemed like no one could do a nice double pike on floor.
Does anyone else think the audience didn't cheer as loudly for her after her tumbling passes? Also, Tim just seemed a lot more critical of her. I hate to ask this - but do you think it's a race thing?
WOW THAT DOUBLE FRONT
whoever choreographed that routine was fantastic
Toes pointed leg not crossed and no cowboying omg such good form
Such gorgeous form. Beautiful gymnast and not appreciated enough
Wow. SO CLEAN.
Her form on literally every element is perfection. Even her handsprings look flawless. I honestly can't think of a single gymnast with better execution
rhysopher Courtney McCool, Lilia Podkopayeva
211UKRjump I wouldn’t say either one had BETTER execution. Ivana was just so pretty to watch.
Her tumblings are really really great, with good form in the air. But there are rooms for improvement for her dance elements, especially the switch ring. Still, I think she deserves to be included in the olympic team
I guess even with what she went through in GAGE, it helped her form to be perfect in a way, which kinda makes her stand out in terms of technique
Aliya Mustafina of course
Wow!!! Her form
Her form during the twists of her second tumbling pass are perfection. It just makes me even more annoyed at the terrible twisting form of most of the top gymnasts today.
Yes! For the love of God! Gymnasts aren't being deducted correctly when it comes to form imo. Hers is perfect.
Double front tuck. Best ever performed in competition.
Her twisting is textbook. Pure perfection
Wao her first pass was incredible !
I wonder how far she could have go in the 10 scoring system... Everything she does is so perfect, even if she doesn't have the biggest difficulties... Love her, and that floor routine attracts me at least once a month...
Yeah I was think the same thing. If This was just 4 years before..... Bye bye Ponor's gold on FX.
You mean her gold when she took like a 4-foot lunch out of every tumbling pass?
@@PhenixJoe
0:18

No lunge at all on 3 out of her 4 passes
@@nathan10120 I think they're talking about Ponor.
She’d score really well under the current system and it’s extremely harsh execution scores.
That double front is FLAWLESS! I'm amazed every time I see it. Ivana is amazing.
I always find myself coming back to this video
Now that's the way a double front should look. So closed and tight, no straddling at all! perfect!
that first pass was fire. never seen it done better
she is vary flex and vary good
look at her lines just beautiful!!!!!!! clean dance and tubling and her legs are glued the hole time[love u IVANNA ]
Will we ever see a double front executed this well in WAG? I think not...
her tuck is so perfect in her double front.
the judges had it out for her for some reason. Not enough difficulty or some crap. it makes no sense, she is exquisite and should be rewarded for her unbelievable position in the air. you can press pause at any moment in this routine and its a spectacular picture.
Really refreshing to see a gymnast tumble to some slow, contemporary music. Hearing the same overly peppy, fast pace music gets boring.
The double front was AMAZING!! Toes pointed legs together. Better than Nastia Liukin's.
she looks like and performs like chinese gymnast..her lines and and landings..amazing..
And she had a low landing on the double pike just like the chinese!! She even looks like one. Her twisting form on the 2.5 twist was perfection. Legs also feet not crossed, very impressive. Her double front >>>>>>>> Nastia’s 🤢
Her legs are glued together all the time. So beautiful
It's like someone glued her legs together when she does her twists....insane.
completely agree... she is one of the most polished floor workers the us has seen this cycle, she could easily have replaced sacramone on the floor and helped the us instead of hindered...
PERFEECT , she such a beautiful gymnast!
she's AMAZING her landings are perfect and her finishing possision was great!
SO PERFECT! Love Ivana! Miss her...
DAmn she is so flexible.
This girl is one to watch! She has amazing grace and also those legs were completely stuck together in all twists and somersaults. This routine is one of the best i have ever seen.
Go Ivana x x

Its years ago now but I had forgotten what beautiful form she always had. Amazing!
As everyone else said... Why the hell was that only scored 15.3?!?
Stunning routine.
These are just the obvious issues.
the gage girls' form is so good it's unbelievable
well not terin humphrey's but anyway
btw i love how when they land the chalk on the floor kinda flies
wow¡¡¡¡ super technique
Her double front is the most beautiful I've ever seen. Textbook perfect.
Love her, really wish she made the team
She really deserved that last spot over Sloan.
Best double front in the history of women's gymnastics. If not men's too. I love her ending pose too. The other elite girls must've been like, "Why does she only have four tumbling passes, we have fifteen!"
This will forever be my favorite floor routine.
And she did this all on a fractured ankle. That's crazy!!
I love her dance sequence in the middle! She has such great flexibility and it looks so fluid.
She should totally audition for Cirque du Soleil.
One of the best technicians ever! Except for her switch ring. Surprised how... bad... It is with all her flexibility.
Seriously one of my favorite gymnasts.
Oh. My. Gosh. Her form is so perfect it's not even funny. How does she twist so beautifully????????????????
impeccable forms on the tumbling, legs together all the way!
that's not just a 15.300 !? i thought, and i know im not a judge, that she did better then every other gymnast i saw that night!
i would give her at least a 15.500, this double front is perfect.
she is vary flex and vary good [2]
The double front was AMAZING!! Toes pointed legs together.
That's probably the only double front that I haven't seen cowboyed.
her double front is so much better than Nastia's ! love ivana
you should see nastias split leap
This routine scoring lower than Nastia Liukin’s... I am genuinely confused.
This routine was much entertaining and fun than the one she had in 2009!
This one is so....alive,and the end is the most interesting part of the routine!
The tumbling wasn't bad at all,i really loved her double front, amazing form :)
Ivana, please take back this routine!!!! :D
@NamiKage1 She competed at the 2009 Worlds and won a bronze medal on beam. She was injured shortly after and could not compete in the 2010 season. She is now moving onto gymnastics at Stanford.
GAGE routines are so set apart from the rest of the field in the US
ivana's double front is so much better than nastia's
I love her artistry. I would have liked to see her TOPS Testing. I bet she was great!
This routine was literally made for Nastia
@XxSportyMusicGirlxX She said it " or Ivanna, it just gotta b perect" wich its sooo unfair
three words: legs glued together!²
In today’s scoring I bet the judges would still take 4 tenths off each for the first and second pass despite being perfect. It’s like they close their eyes and just deduct points for no reason. Unless it’s a fall there will always be 0.3-0.5 off each tumble
they are so harsh on her... definitely underscored.
Legendary form!
I’ve noticed a lot of gymnastics coached by Al fong have great form.. interesting
No one has from the USA had as good as her.
I wanted her to be an olympic team member =(
really don't understand why she can't go to the 2008 Olympics...:/
she was underscored!!!
i have always loved her floor!!!
i love ivana's double double i miss it too :(
I love gymnastics
Best double front in the history of women's gymnastics. If not men's too. I love her ending pose too.

THIS you got the point.... :)
Ive never seen anyone tumble like that!
So the judges took .7 off of her score....all I can see is .4 (and that's harshly for me)
That routines was PERFECT
Love her artistry and power I try to be like that
First pass was stunning
this music puts me to sleep.
Queen of form! Kweeeeeeen!
I think she could have. But Marta thought she lacked consistencey, and so do I. Her lines an toe point are exceptional, but she's not Olympic standard.
Exercícios muito bem feitos
I think she nailed this routine.
..'or some crap?' Difficulty is EXTREMELY important.
This reminds me of a great routine from the 80's with the dance and the tumbling
Is it just me or did almost every double pike in the olympic trials look bad. I didn't notice it at first and then after watching a few videos it just seemed like no one could do a nice double pike on floor.
Going back to this video, just remembering she competed on a fractured ankle! wow
What?!?That's nuts
"But you know, for Ivana, she's gotta be perfect."
If that wasn't perfect, what is?
this double front is PERFECT!!!!!!!!! brilliant execution!!!! exquicite!! besides, she stucked it!!!
omg formmmm and the last skill❤❤❤❤
Why was she not on the 2008 or 2012 Olympic teams?
Maybe injuries
The double front was AMAZING!! Toes pointed legs together. Nastia's looks a bit odd though because of her legs apart and the way she held them.
all of this on a BROKEN FOOT.
Beautiful form. :)
Look at the knees on her first pass....I am in love with her double fronts!
by the way i love her final position :)
Goddamn how do you twist like that?
Does anyone else think the audience didn't cheer as loudly for her after her tumbling passes? Also, Tim just seemed a lot more critical of her. I hate to ask this - but do you think it's a race thing?
I think it is…
The best double front !!!
