Beautiful video. Did that climb with a buddy back in 1984. Used a Super 8MM Camera to capture the views. No ladders back then. Rope used to scale to the very top. Very few attempted that portion. It was raining that day and agree that coming down was more difficult than going up ! Great memories.
Huayna Picchu looks absolutely incredible! 🏔 Those steep ‘stairs of death’ add such an exciting challenge, but the bird’s-eye view over Machu Picchu is definitely worth it. Must have been an unforgettable experience! Thanks for sharing this epic climb! 🇵🇪🌄
Not sure if you realised but the obelisk stones are mirror images of distant mountains. You need to walk around them and find the perfect match in the distance. There are many such rocks around the site like these but I don’t know their significance. We loved our time there. Blue sky all day.
@@travelandmore-hi5 It was a challenge back in 1990, but I hear they fixed the hard dangerous part so it should be a bit easier. One guy climbed it in the rain with loafers on.
Wow! thank you guys for this Beautiful & Magical video - one of the best one of Peru - Now I know that when I go there again I will be goin to that "Pyramid Mountain' - Love & Blessings to you and yours from Las Vegas -Blessed It Be.
Thank you for taking us along. My s/o is from Peru and we dreamed of going. The years have sped by and it is no longer physically possible. Your vid is sufi. Gracias.
Beautiful video and Thank you. We were scheduled to go to Peru 4/2020, then COVID hit. Not sure if we will reschedule as since broke my foot and effects my walking. 😥 But again, thank you for taking me there.
The reason for the rope around the Hitching Post of the Sun is because a number of years ago, a brewing company wanted to shoot a commercial there. Their request for a permit was denied, but they went ahead anyway. And...a camera crane knocked the top off the monument. Was a huge scandal in Peru. They had to cement it back in place. Prior to that, there was no rope (I was there in 1987).
Wow Thank you for share a truth worthy for us. We are from Boise, Idaho. Thank you guys. We are coming Peru August 26-September 14. Hopefully we be back our feet on Sept 15 2022. I am not afraid of height. I am worry about my asthma. I will bring medication if needed.
Are you guys aware that Wayna Picchu is actually the nose of a much larger human face sculpture? The whole mountain of Wayna Picchu is actually carved in the shape of a human face lying down looking up at the sky. To the right is the eye, eye socket, and brow ridge, to the left is the lips and chin. It can only be seen from certain angles while on Machu Picchu. Once you see it, you'll never be able to unsee it!

Also, my hotel packed small lunch didn't look.on way up, a man I met on train asked me how much water I had. SMALL BOTTLE 8 OZ. He gave me a bottle. There is cafe/store at entrance but not within. It doesnt look like you guys went up with a guide, did you? Or how were you able to go up it at that time, it looks like you were the only ones up that mountain!!❤
Idk how these two were able to go by themselves but you do have to pay to get in. This is a level 4 (level of activity) trail. They also didn’t mention how they got access into it.
I was really scared going up. Thrilled to go down. Multiple panic attacks going up, especially at the tip top before you go down the latter and into the cave. It was also my second hike ever - so the fact that I did means anyone can! Lol
Amazing video! Question, how were you able to get tickets to see Machu Picchu one day and Huayna Picchu the next? I'd also like to do that, but the tickets make it look like you have to do both in the same day with a tight time span.
Yeah, you just have to buy two entrance tickets for both separate days. It's not exactly cheap of course, but since it's kinda the highlight of a long trip it's worth it.
No - the reason they build there was to have the energy of the 'Pyramid Mt ' to contact Galactics who help them build It and to have their monastery - just like the Monasteries in the Hymalayas are build high in Mountains - Blessed It Be.
This is not as scary as they are showing. We had a group of 8 from 65 to 70, some were scared prior to going, and not so good with heights but were quite able to do it. Very physical going up. Also it was wet going down.

Actually, Machu Picchu is not that high, only around 2400m. Cuzco (3400) and Lake Titicaca (3800) where we were before are much higher, so at that point we got used to it already.

I’m going there in a week and a half! This is so helpful but it looks really scary and steep! Thank you for sharing this! Very informative!
Man just look at you guys climbing up there my ball already shrink
Descending the Inca stairs from the top of Huayna Picchu was by far the most terrified I've ever been in my life.
With good reason. Our guide told us that on average four people every year die on Huayna Picchu, mainly from slipping on wet rocks while descending.
Great video!!! Loved the "hiking with friends" feel!...and thanks for the information along the way. 🙂
