Thank you for doing this comparison! I love white toner because of less equipment space. But dtf is also mighty! It's to be respected. You really can't go wrong with either. Just set your visions for your biz growth right. Thank you for all you do, Kat. You're helping my depression by giving me something to do. A great distraction.
Thanks for the comparison, I don't have a DTF and will stick with the DTF hack before buying the machine. I do have the Icolor white toner printer but I didn't buy it for t-shirt, I brought it for all the great things it can do with hard service ceramic, glass, wood, acrylics, metal, magnetic sheeting, leather, candles, window cling and printing white, matalics, glitter, glow in the dark, tattoo, ceramic, glass, wood, acrylics, metal, magnetic sheeting, leather, etc Also the low temp you can print on mylar balloons. So, I guess it all depends on what you want to do for your business!
Just a big question about safety related to DTF. There's some important warnings related to the vapors from the oven when curating the print. Companies are highly recommending to wear a vapor mask to avoid inhaling the DTW powders from the oven even ir you have the Air purifier added. That's one of the reason that is holding me back and considering more the White Toner. Thank you!
That's my concern as well, I don't feel an air purifier is enough, I have my crafting room in one side of my basement and my husband and kids go downstairs to do laundry or watch tv/play in the other side, today I watched Brother Ernest video , he says he got Anaplastic Cancer from DTF Printing, now I'm terrified to get a DTF printer, even taking the precautions :(

DTF is great! Even though the DTF image has bolder colors the rabbit looks pinkish not white. The whiter toner laser image makes the rabbit look white not pink. I think both have acceptable colors, because short of the side by side I think they both have good color.

Your right about the color…but can’t you adjust the color to more a vivid setting on the whiter toner? From my understanding the toner can print when you need it. The DTF although vibrant in this example. You have to open it up everyday and shake that white ink or else it clogs. Do you have to print something every day too? So that the hoses that carry the ink don’t get messed up? Also..you said both machines cost $4,000.00. But you “Need” that oven to cure the transfer right. Asking the right questions. I actaully just saw another commenter metnion an auto dryer/shaker for powder. It'a machine that will shake and bake your DTF powder for you to ensure consistency. The only problem? Damn thing costs 3 grand! So you buy the printer for $4K, then you buy the dryer for $3K, you're already four digits in the hole comapred to white toner. Sure, the DTF print looks 10 times nicer, but that white toner still blows my old DTG printer out of the water, and no one's complained about that one yet. I think if white toner can figure out how to have the adhesive backing paper already married to the clear film out of the box, it will become a clear cut winner. Hi, I had some ideas and I looked on youtube and I see that you also have similar ideas. I would like to know if you can do tests since you have all the equipment and I don't. have a DTF but my print head got clogged. My ideas are 1.- DTF printing only white background and sublimation on top with ink and sublimation paper 2.- white toner printing only the white background and sublimation on top with your sublimation printer 3..- white textile vinyl and sublimate above with your sublimation printer This to know if when a printer gets damaged you can mix the techniques and know which ones work I saw your video of the dtf hack
If you choose to do this im asking me if you really need the hotmelt powder or ink can be sublimated to the dtf print or the whit toner print with out hot melt powder
hello Katrina, please I like to start t shirt design business and can prestige A3 + oven dtf printer help? which warehouse can i buy from? Also, any brand to buy heart press from please? Thank you.
I just posed an updated video on my DTF video please watch that video just posted. In the video show the website and all the models you can get with the pricing. The links are always at the bottom of the videos
What I am trying to test since my equipment is damaged is if, for example, your DTF printer loses 1 color, let's say the cyan, you leave it to print only the white backgrounds and on top of that you print the color with sublimation and thus the DTF head would serve you longer because it has 6 color channels that you can convert to white channels only
I wanted to open a kiosk in a mall to print T-shirts, and someone told me that the use of DTF printing would not be allowed inside the mall because of the use of chemicals meant for powder, and also heating it will lead to an unpleasant smell

@@katrinasgracefulcreations3711 thank you so very much. I was wondering if the price would be higher because it’s not vinyl and the supplies are higher.
@@katrinasgracefulcreations3711 if you have to sell those shirts at $25.00 a pop just to turn a profit, you're in trouble. You can get away with that for like three or four shirts, but anyone placing a double digit order (not to mention triple digit,) is going to expect a much better price than that. Good for you if you can make it work, but I would go out of business if that was my bottom profit making price.
Do you feel this is more cost effective than doing dtf film in a regular inkjet or sublimation printer? The process with the powder is similar to the dtf hack I tried.
It couldn’t definitely be faster I can’t change that but the way some people made it seem like it was much slower. So for me having my first DTF I’m happy with it. It’s definitely not for mass prints.

Hi, I had some ideas and I looked on youtube and I see that you also have similar ideas. I would like to know if you can do tests since you have all the equipment and I don't. have a DTF but my print head got clogged. My ideas are
1.- DTF printing only white background and sublimation on top with ink and sublimation paper
2.- white toner printing only the white background and sublimation on top with your sublimation printer
3..- white textile vinyl and sublimate above with your sublimation printer
This to know if when a printer gets damaged you can mix the techniques and know which ones work I saw your video of the dtf hack
If you choose to do this im asking me if you really need the hotmelt powder or ink can be sublimated to the dtf print or the whit toner print with out hot melt powder
I can't find the prestige A3+ anywere😢
They have discontinued it from what I have read.
I'm using sublimation printing I have machine
hello Katrina, please I like to start t shirt design business and can prestige A3 + oven dtf printer help? which warehouse can i buy from? Also, any brand to buy heart press from please? Thank you.
I just posed an updated video on my DTF video please watch that video just posted. In the video show the website and all the models you can get with the pricing. The links are always at the bottom of the videos
Great video thank you! What brand powder and fil are you using?
Wala dtf powder it was on the screen in the video. Link in bio all products for dtf are in my previous dtf video as well.
What do you think about UV printing for cups and mugs
I have never done that
What I am trying to test since my equipment is damaged is if, for example, your DTF printer loses 1 color, let's say the cyan, you leave it to print only the white backgrounds and on top of that you print the color with sublimation and thus the DTF head would serve you longer because it has 6 color channels that you can convert to white channels only
I’m so glad you made this video! Thank YOU!! 💓
I hope it’s helpful
What’s the program you use for the DTF prints.
Every dtf printer comes with its own rip software. I use the cadlink digital factory
White toner.. but its on a WHITE SHIRT.. so its really not much of a scenario. But redo the video on a DARK shirt or even a Grey Shirt 🎉
Thank you, very informative as always. Lol at Kayden. You know he has to be in the video 😂
Always! Some how or another right. Lol
What is the white paper you used?
The white bunny from the DTF has a hint of pink tone.
I have a question, if I use dtf printing, does the powder have an unpleasant smell when placed on the film or when the film is heated?
I wanted to open a kiosk in a mall to print T-shirts, and someone told me that the use of DTF printing would not be allowed inside the mall because of the use of chemicals meant for powder, and also heating it will lead to an unpleasant smell
I have no idea about that. My powder doesn’t have a smell
@fastdtftransfer is turning T-shirts into festive masterpieces! 🎅 Dive into our latest post and tell us, have you tried DTF printing for your holiday wardrobe?
Katrina, you rocked this review and of the two I’m definitely going with DTF. I get mine on Monday and I’m excited about it. Can you advise what’s a round about you would charge for dtf shirts and if we did at some point I think it’s called gang sheets?
Your prices will always depend on the cost of shirts and how big the image is. Anywhere &25 and up
@@katrinasgracefulcreations3711 thank you so very much.
Good for you if you can make it work, but I would go out of business if that was my bottom profit making price.
thanks for the comparison DTF hands down the more vibrant one
Hello just coming in... does the B paper has to be printed with sublimation ink or can it be with ink jet?
This is a white toner and nothing else it’s laser printer not sublimation or inkjet.
How soon after pulling the image, do you have to put the DTF powder on it?
Right away
Do you feel this is more cost effective than doing dtf film in a regular inkjet or sublimation printer? The process with the powder is similar to the dtf hack I tried.
Sublimation is great but it only works with polyester.
I need to find cheaper ink for luminaries rp printer
Thank you
Can DTF transfers be used on cups?
I haven’t tried it yet I believe I heard someone say they tried it. But not sure.
Excellent video 👍✅
Trina what about the speed of the Prestige...are you happy with how long it took??
It couldn’t definitely be faster I can’t change that but the way some people made it seem like it was much slower. So for me having my first DTF I’m happy with it. It’s definitely not for mass prints.
