3 weeks later: myself and my expert team are still analysing this transmission with increasing intensity. the music track has really grown on me, solid banger. very clever how the images reflect the sounds.
So I watched it again. I doubt you intended to make any kind of statement with this and instead only put what came to mind. But how did it come to you? I agree with what it says, though. I grew up on alot of things that have become core parts of my life including the worst and best of the internet, psychs, and a skinner-cell lifestyle. These inhuman things have become a part of me and so I am no longer human. I've been reading "The World is Mine" recently. I recommend it.
Yep, the music came first. I drew from the tonality, but knew I didn't want to make something completely mindless, while trying not to make something that yells too loud. I can't really point to any specific influence for it, a lot of sci-fi has addressed the android concept... but there's an animator here on youtube called "slouch" who I really like, I felt like this was vaguely in line with his stuff. I'm glad it spoke to you, over time I've only become more aware that dystopian sci-fi does generally speak directly from the current state of things. I have bookmarked The World Is Mine, I'll read it some time.
a glorious creation! what a treat
this shit sick
so cool
