i've been on this road and over fleet moss into hawes more times than i can remember, mainly cycling since the early 70's but now on my motorbike, many happy memories, in fact i did it just last week as part of a 180 mile loop, and got glorious sunshine, and i never get bored of it, so thanks for the upload, it's nice to see it from someone else's perspective. GL
Thanks Bill, good to see somebody else enjoying Langstrothdale. I've ridden the road from Hawes to Buckden a few times on my travels and met almost no traffic on it, mind you it was always in early spring or late autumn. A beautiful place, the contrast between the wide open views on top of Fleet Moss and the ride along the river in Langstrothdale is striking. Great drone shots of the river too, I had to rely on standing up to get a view. Cheers, Mick
Thank you, Bill. I try to get up Yorkshire way whenever I'm in the UK. I base myself in Thirsk to have the Moors and Dales in easy reach. Your videos have given me some nice roads to investigate. It's nice to know something about how the landscape came to be as well. I hope September presents some good weather for the ride. I've run into snow on Buttertubs in May when the cold held on over long. Maybe we can get some hold over on warm weather on the other end.
These are great vlogs Bill and inspired my wife and I to ride through Langstrothdale over the weekend. Simply stunning countryside and we’ll no doubt do more roads which we’d never have thought to ride, thanks to your great videos. Keep up the geological commentary, it’s really interesting and is what sets you apart from other vloggers,
