My dad's had a 7-600 for longer than I've been alive and both the measurements and leads are still bang on. I really only used it for continuity and battery voltage testing on small engines but it's been plenty for me
Excellent! I have that voltage tester too, and several fluke meters, i mostly use my Fluke 75! Old but just bullet proof! Liking the hat and shirt.... Haha.
Excellent new series Tony. And don't you look smart in that Fluke outfit. That was a nice introduction to this new series with some nice products too. The 7-600 is a really interesting meter that still hold their value well. Would be interesting to know who Fluke were aiming to sell that meter to. I had a voltage tester similar to the 1AC II but made by a different company. It worked fine on normal mains but testing it on a 230v very large industrial UPS it would not pick up anything. Maybe the sine-wave was modified or something but it could have caused a problem if I relied on it. Have a good week.
Fun fact about the 10 series: Remove one SMD capacitor and they all become a 12. Even the missing buttons are there under the hood, only the face is not there.
@@TonyAlbus I don't get that on my 7-600. Once out of the Off position it will just show all elements on the screen and only when it reaches the On position it goes into the do-it-all tester mode. Going by the service manuals the A/D input IC is the same for the 7 and 10 series. Only the logic IC is different. There are also 12b and 18 meters which appear to be 10 series meters with a rotating knob. They're in the same SM as the 7 though. This knob operates the same sliding switch as the other meters. The 16 is also similar but adds uA and temperature. I don't have a service manual for it so I can't say what ICs it uses.
Waarom zit fluke europe in Eindhoven. Waarom bestaan er philips scopemeters etc.
Fluke Friday! Looking forward to seeing all of your Fluke gear, thank you for sharing it with us. Regards, David
Thanks David!..
Nice work Tony
Thanks Mark!
Look forward to more!!!!!!
Thanks Brad!

Yes perfect for things like that!.. and it just keeps working..

Yes indeed.. i saw the same in the 7-600 .. i think if you put the switch halfway it is in manual 4000 mv setting with high Z :)
