Minimum ambulance waiting time? 40min 😐😐😐
      40 long minutes.
Luckily for her, it turned out not to be a stroke but something completely different. Still serious but not life threatening.

Maybe the health secretary should read this
over the next few weeks there will be a lot of bad press fired at nurses and many who work within the NHS. For those who don’t work in healthcare, I wanted to help give some facts and context in support of my nursing friends/colleagues:
    - A nurses starting salary in the NHS will be £27,055.
    - Nurses pay mandatory £120 for NMC registration to practice every year.
    - Nurses pay between £200-500/yr in parking fees (depending on Trust) before even stepping through the front door.
    - Nurses pay £15-£20/month for Union membership and professional indemnity.
    - Nurses breaks are unpaid. They have 2x 30 minute breaks per long-day (13 hour shift) - if they can take them!
    - After adjustment for inflation, despite the most recent pay deal, nurse’s real wages have dropped by £1583 on average per year since 2011. Nursing pay bands are worth an average 11% less than they were a decade ago.
    - There are currently thousands of vacancies across the country for nursing jobs, due to years of underinvestment and under recruitment, costing approximately £6 billion/yr in expensive agency staff.
    - An independent study found a 10% pay rise to nursing staff would pay for itself through greater tax income from higher wages, and by reducing the amount of student loans needing to be written off.
    - Another study found for every extra patient a nurse is asked to look after beyond a safe amount, the risk of harm increases by 7%. I have often seen nurses looking after patients on a ratio of 12:1. A safe amount would be considered 5:1. Do the maths.
Nurses are not greedy. They worked through a grueling pandemic to keep you and your loved ones safe. Over 850 healthcare workers are estimated to have died over the pandemic. Nurses have lost colleagues and family members to COVID-19.
Please support nurses in the weeks to come and don’t listen to Government propaganda. The recent pay deal amounted to a pay cut in real terms. It is not right that a nurse (or anyone!) should be afraid to put on the heating, or be forced to go to a food bank to provide food for their families.
Copied and pasted. Not my words.

Nurses and other qualified staff have studied for 3 or 4 years. Many have taken on student loans of up to £35k to go into a career that they want to work in because they care. No one joins the NHS for the money unless it’s a high management position which pays a LOT and that it a massive part of the problem. Too many staffing layers with managers on unbelievably high salaries.

Sorry but if this particular nurse has told us all this and is not putting up a lot of fuss , then why don't you believe her ? Never go in for journalism nor Detective work ? She is a working class lass a frontliner one of our own and any nurse going in for having a job a vocation will know that the wages have never been great? Not for the difficult and responsible Labour they do , long gruelling hours attending to the sick and the dying ! Cleaning up other People's vomit blood shit and piss!!! You try it ? Add to this the years we've been hearing about the government interference of using expensive Ageny workers ! Using expensive foreign language quangos! Costing the NHS £ billions ? And the cost of living continually rising and Chicken feed for a wage never covering the cost And yes we know they were thrown a bit more chicken feed last year when they were seen as our heroes with the clapping but havnt you twigged on yet vegan picks that Politics is a very dirty game , the GOV, knew they've been ignoring and neglecting our nurses , the covid two years was horrendous for the NHS workers and despite the propaganda on that silly tik tok video didn't help their plightveither ? Because not all the nurses were doing this ? Many were heads down? Trussed up like an Abbatoir meat worker PPI ? Masks , visors , plastic aprons ,plastic gloves ? Bloody stroll on that was abuse and especially in hospitals that are like saunas to begin with? Add to this the expenditure £200 to £ 500 ( depending on the Trust);in parking fees before stepping through the door ! ? £15to £20 / month Union membership ( for God knows they bloody need them with this scrooge of a GOV, who are rolling in clover with their constant pay rises ) After adjustment for inflation , despite the most recent pay deal , nurses REAL wages have dropped by £1,583 on average per year since 2011 Nursing pay bands are worth an average 11% LESS than they were a decade ago !!!! ((( please don't go in for accountancy ))) There are currently thousands of vacancies across the Country for nursing jobs , WHY do YOU think that is? Well it is due to under investment and under recruitment costing approximately £6billion / Yr in expensive agency staff , many of them not trained up for the job because the main reasons for this strike is not solely for more money ? It helps but the main reason is the training for to become a professional nurse and this takes four years , wouldn't you rather have a nurse that knows her onions or foreigners who cannot be arsed to learn good English , and one that unwittingly let you and your family die unnecessarily? Because this is what this government are allowing An Independant study found a 10% pay rise to nursing staff would pay for itself through a greater tax income from higher wages , and by reducing the amount of Student loans needing to be written off! Nurses are not greedy they worked through a gruelling pandemic to keep you and yours safe and alive ! So the nurse that bought the flat could have had extra money from her husband friends or whatever This nurse is only making a statement ! She could have worked for years and should have been able to buy an house ? You are telling an INTELLIGENT WOMAN HOW TO SPEND HER MONEY ? A WORKING CLASS WOMAN , HOW PATRONISING OF YOU DONT YOU THINKBSHE HAS BEEN VERY CAREFUL WITH HER FINANCES ? It's now come to nurses being heroes -to nurses being abused and being Women what a misogynistic World we live in ? If that's all you think is being discussed by nurses, then you may need to do a bit more research. Healthcare staff have had negative pay reviews since 2012, and most calculations would say that their pay is 20% less in real terms than it was in 2012 when adjusted for inflation.
