Fantastic review. Can't wait for the Born to be released in Australia! Seems like a fantastic replacement for our mk7 Golf 2.0 TDI.

Cupra born is built in the same factory as the vw group evs, they are carbon neutral out of the factory, built using renewables and offset for the other emissions. 👌

Had mine for a few days now, very happy/pleased overall. Super comfy/full of tech and not too bad and averaging about 4.1 kw/h. Two small gripes are the A/C. I can't find an option to have the fans on without it being on A/C which will of course reduce range a little, and the music player doesn't let me play 'folders', i tend to have compilations for differing driving moods so that is disappointing. But overall i'm super happy with it. I can do it through Android Auto but given the amount of tech in the car, that part is lacking. Superb safety features BTW

It is a great car. I did find the AC fiddly and also kept hitting the rear button on the windows whenever I wanted to put them down but those kinds of things you get used to. I was very happy with the 4.1 kw/h that I was getting too in the car.

I just traded in (amazing trade-in price by the way) a Golf GTi performance for one of these. Because of the torque delivery I don't miss the Gtis power. Ok not that luxurious inside but that's not the point. I don't miss my old Golf one single bit. Great review.

Carwow timed it at 6.7 secs 0-60. Not too shabby!

What do we think is going to happen to the price of electricity once everyone starts going ev?...... Exactly.

I am sure it will go up - and in all likelihood tax will be added to it to make up for loss of fuel tax. But we aren’t there yet.

It’s not the fastest version, the fastest version is the 58kwh e-boost
