As much as Jedi and Vulcan teachings may overlap, they don't necessarily reconcile together. Vulcans practice telepathy, but even those practices were heavily frowned upon or even prosecuted for a period of time, which is contrary to Jedi. But still, one can say they are both robots heh.

I love this whole crossover idea of Spock learning the ways of the force in the ways of the Jedi. I have to say Vulcans makes excellent Jedis.
