- Watermark is from the 1988 album by Irish singer and songwriter Enya. Her unique sound features multi-layered vocals and keyboards in a Celtic, ambient New Age style.
This Anne Crosby Gaudet arrangement is for early intermediate lever harp. Transposing to G Major from the original F Major, has made the lever changes more manageable. A slight change in the left hand accompaniment ensures that the music fits beautifully under the hands while staying true to the essence of the original song.
I captured the video footage at Point Prim, which is near Digby, Nova Scotia on July 7, 2024.

@@annecrosbygaudetmusic I sure did. I was a big Clannad fan back in the late 70s even before Enya went solo in the early 80s.
So stunning Anne. I used my old piano transcription for Watermark and made some modifications to fit the lever (particularly the famous sharp-natural step down sequence before the culminating chord) but this sooo much more practical!

This is so beautiful Anne! I have started buying your sheet music because, not only is your music wonderful, but I am in need of learning how to not be so intense and relax my hands more on the strings. I almost have Lithia down. It's helping me to slow down and relax my hands more. I'm so excited about that. I've purchased this one, too, and have just started playing with it. Can't wait to really focus on learning it but need to discipline myself to learn one song at a time WELL before I move on. Someone had a clever idea to use D sharp instead of E flat for that low bass note. There's always a creative workaround!

I have always loved this song and played it on the piano a long time ago. So excited to play it on the harp now! I was headed to buy it before the song even ended! Beautiful arrangement!
It was interesting taking the piano left-hand accompaniment and reworking it to feel more comfortable for the harp.

@@nancimoll9901 I pre-set 2 low levers and then there are a couple easy ups and downs at the end of page 2. It’s just the treble E and F levers and I give the left-hand a lot of time to do the changes.

Any suggestions on how to adjust this for a double harp? How would you handle the lever changes?
I guess that would depend on the size of double strung, what's your lowest string and tuning?

Anne! I just bought your arrangement not more than a half hour ago from MusicPlu... the file won’t download from the publisher. They said they need a new file and don’t know how long that may take!
