I used the conveyor system to fill a silo and before compacting I noticed a very significant loss of chaff 200k liters turned into 160k after distribution
hey farmer cop, a good alternative ive found is instead of using buckets to scoop silage out, reuse the forage wagon and roll over the silage and it will pick it up and you are already loaded for delivery. This took me a long time to figure out after realizing the conveyor pickup is missing. Hope this helps everyone who comes here for it and hope u add it in video so people see it
@@plushiie_ The same as you use to pick up grass from the field, I must admit I have not tested in 25 but they worked in 22 so I don't see why they wouldn't work.
Giants is so incredibly stupid for leaving out that conveyer. The forage wagon does work but with the bunkers that are drive thru that cost 60k you can get stuck when you have a lot of silage. If I keep it around 200k liters per bunker it’s not bad. But normally I’d fill that thing up and use conveyer system. Maybe Giants will start approving more mods instead of sitting on their thumbs.
Merging field 3,4 and 5, adding in field 2 and 8 all planted as grass at +97% yield 100% fertilized , will give you about 572500 liters of grass per harvest 4 times a year. These field numbers refer to the riverbend map. On easy economic difficulty, that’s over $800k a year at a minimum when converted to silage, and overall it’s less trips per trailer load with 220cm square bales or 180cm rounds then any forage wagon.
I'd argue, that the most efficient and reasonably quicker way to make bales is using a combo of a forage wagon that allows you to choose the tip side + bale storage + Goweil Vario Master V140 (base game stationary bailer). Put the baler near the storage in a way to let bails drop right into the loading area (of the storage). This way you won't have to stop every so often to drop off the bale, and you skip the wrapping step. Also, the process of loading bales and transporting them to the trader is easier if you buy Anderson Group RBM2000 (bale transport that automatically picks bales from the ground), and simply pick up the 24 bales that you've taken out of the bale storage.
Ive made a few hundred bales with a round baler and then wrapped them, I made 71 bales with the John Deere combo baler wrapper and I’ve made 480 square silage bales(220cm) with the big krone baler. I have yet to refill the twine or the silage additive. The point of my comment is that although the equipment is more expensive upfront for square bales, I do believe it is cheaper in the long run and faster than the round bales.
I prefer square bales just so I don't have to stop every time a bail is made. I did start with round since I was broke but I'm hoping to upgrade after a few harvests.

Hi Farmer Cop, love your work! I wonder which set of combination is better for grass-silage: 1. Mower (wide cutter) -> JohnDeere Baler-wrapper -> fermentation. 2. Mower (wide cutter) -> forage wagon (additives) to pick up -> dump into Goweil stationery baler-wrapper -> fermentation. 3. Forage harvester (narrow cutter) with forage wagon (additives) -> dump into Goweil stationery baler-wrapper (additives) -> fermentation. 4. Mower (wide cutter) -> forage wagon (additives) to pick up -> dump into bunker silo -> leveling-compacting -> fermentation. Is additive in No.3 works if the grass is dumped into the wagon by forage harvester instead of picked-up by the wagon? If so, both forage wagon and the staionery baler-wrapper have additives, can it work twice? (105%*105%=110.25%) Do bunker siko worth the additional work?
It's all up to personal preference this is no right way, they'll all get you to the end. Bunker is probably expensive up front whereas if you do the other ways you need to wrap it up which costs money and will add up fast constantly buying more wraps. Me personally I think i'll just go the double method he shows where it has the bailer and wrapper combo. I have done the bunker in FS22 and hated it with a passion lol but then again last game it was so glitchy and would damage your equipment.
I got a question. I have grass that was compacted and covered and turned it into silage. Now i got grass again ready to harvest. So can i add fresh grass into bunker that has silage already or do i have to put into an empty bunker?
@FarmerCop - how do you turn on the info window lower right corner of the screen to see status of fermenting? I actually saw this window the other day, but today it doesn't show up, and I can't find the key to turn it back on.
I found it. The technical name of the box is "Info Box", there is setting for it near the top of General Settings to toggle it on or off. I flipped it on an I can now see it.
I am having trouble with the Goweil baler and Wrapper. They both will not refill completely. They will refill to just shy of full and take product from the pallets like normal but the fill indicator will not go to full. Do I have to wait until they are completely empty before I refill them?
Yep, after testing a lot, this works the best for me so far. You need the biggest bunker silo and can park your truck next to it. Big upfront investment but saves so much time.
The last square bailer (krone big pack 1290 hdp vc) has a silage additive tank option but only standard twine no wrap. My question is if you are picking up grass does it convert it to silage with the additive without needing to buy a wrapper or do you still need to wrap it to get silage?
I was using a large bunker to just store all my chaff because I had no idea what to do with it. Imagine my surprise watching this and realizing I had 35000L of chaff to compact 😂😂😂
I think I was watching his or another and the test came out to something like 24.7% increase. Which if you factor a little bit of error pretty much 25%
Love these guides, very informative. But is there a reason to used corn for silage? The equipment is more expensive and more work seems to be involved in growing it over grass? Does it have higher output per acre or something? Also is there a benefit to using the bale turner? Never made sense to me to have them turned up in the fields
If silage additive gives you 5% bonus. Do you get a 10% bonus if you use a forage wagon with silage additive and the big Goweil wrapper with silage additive?
Appreciate the detailed breakdown! I need some advice: I have a SafePal wallet with USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). How should I go about transferring them to Binance?
It works the same way, but poops out joined bales. Best to wrap them wherever you want to store them because they will be extremely difficult to move. You are able to cut off individual bales afterwards for use of course, but it isn't a machine you want to use if you intend to sell the bales.
Love your stuff, but PLEASE update this guide to include stationary bailer. I tried what another said here and on my save the pickup wagon would not collect effectively in the bunkers. The wrap would not remove as I picked up and it just sat and spun there. The stationary bailer allows you to dump chaff directly into the hopper from your trailer, allowing you to make 5500 150cm bales for easy moving and sale without messing with the bunkers at all. This can save SO MANY players the agony of unloading bunkers with tiny tractor buckets.
You go from the forage trailer into the stationary bale trailer? Or do you mean you load up a trailer of bales and put them into the stationary bailer?
Why did the silo go from 58k to 57k? did anything spill out? I saw an even bigger decrease when using my helper via courseplay for the silo. Is that how the game is designed or is anything off here?
Can anyone help? My cows won’t produce manure at all. They have straw, i’ve placed the manure heap (extension) and they produced 132 litres of manure in the first month and no more for the rest of the year. Do they need to have TMR as well as straw or am I doing something wrong?
@chrisjones6002 it's kind of annoying with pigs but so far the best solution over come up with is to afill a trailer with the amount of food I intend to give them into my tailer that will make up the percentage I need and so when I pour it in along with the other loads it adds up kinda close. Still a major pain tho
I probably should have watched the video to the end. Now I have around 2 million Liter of silage in my bunker and no way of getting it out other than a tiny front loader bucket
They sadly forgot to add the belt system part / "thing" which picks stuff up from the ground into the game... makes the silage a lot less fun imo. You have to put so much more work into selling it.
