I truly feel sorry for people who pay 2,000 + dollars in rent to live in a closet..... When they get older and have no equity built up.. they will understand this post
I feel sorry for people who don’t understand buying a place is not always the unicorn they think it is. What happened when the real estate market collapses? What about the unforeseen expenses of maintaining a house? I’ve met so many who regretted buying more so than renting. If buying makes sense for you then do it. Don’t preach it as a one size fits all solution. I will venture to say anyone who qualifies to pay rent in the 5k range chose to do so over buying, or may already own elsewhere.

@@aalti I feel a lot of younger people fall into the thinking renting is easier and cheaper than home ownership and while this is often true, not having home equity in your future is a financial disaster waiting to happen. We can agree to disagree.
