Your lessons are invaluable, Nelson. I honestly can’t believe this content is free sometimes. Thank you greatly for these uploads. They’ve helped me tremendously.
love Chess Vibes. Excellent sound quality Nelson, nicely comp'd, EQ'd, de-ess'd. Great mic control and cleanly captured, no springy walls or glitchy clips. I appreciate all the effort my friend.
I missed a few episodes that I will 100% go back and watch. Just wanted to tell you how valuable I’ve found this series. I learn so much from you. Thank you.
My key takeaway from this lesson is just a statement that summarises all your 12 tips: "The right move can be the wrong move if played at the wrong time" Super concept that can be applied to every move from start to checkmate!
I just want to thank you out of my heart for going through this book with us , like I said I already got the book and just when I was reading it I stumbled across your series some months ago. Thanks so much and be the best you can be. Also I am thinking by now you should probably go for Grandmaster level as you CAN you have done so much more in the last three years that would cement your play I mean you are doing things international gm's are doing and learning.
Another great video In the series! I love how you go through the possible moves by black and the refutations. I pause and try to solve them and it is super useful! Keep up the great videos!!
11:10 hey nelson what about Qh3 right away? , creating a thread that looking for checkmate on h7 , because if black decided to play h6 (Great move) after we play Qh3 , We can just sacrifice the dark squared bishop on h6 ( actually its a brilliant ) to make a permanen hard weakness , on the other side if black decided to defend with g6 after we play Qh3 , we can just put our Queen on h4 To take a free knight ( Sorry for bad english ) , Please let me know😅
hey Nelson regarding 18:55 when you said “Trust me it’s a mate in 4” i was wondering how many moves to mating should we be able to and train ourselves visualize? some times the engine indicates mate in 11 can anyone see that ?? thanks u have no idea how much this series have benefited me
16:08 if bishop takes knight on F6, queen is forced to take back or move, then can you play queen H7 check, followed by queen H8 mate? wouldn't that be the best play here? ahhh but the queen leaving makes another escape square for king. lol I had to type it out to see it apparently, thanks for the vids man helping me out a ton!
I need a training for these attacking patterns. I would chose the wrong move in 80% of the situations, but have similar positions everytime I play with white.
10:12 I don't see that as any threat. I would just push g7 pawn. Or take white Q, then Nd1. If he takes black rook, N takes white rook. No further threats.
When you're white and black plays the French defense, you as white are still playing against a French defence. So technically you're playing a French, only as white. Tip 13: never ever play the French defence as black. 😊
12:10 (and the similar position a bit later) How about if black plays h5? after which black's knight and queen should be able to defend against white's attack, or so it seems to the severely limited ELO chess computer between my ears.
I may have found a more crushing move than c3. After c3, black can get the rook for his queen with Qxe3 or Qg7, Rg3 Qxg3. What if instead Rg3+ Kh8, c3 Qe5, f4. The queen is forced off the diagonal just the same, but no longer has the option of trading for the rook. Am I overlooking something?
Wait. At 11:10, doesn’t Bxh7+ win on the spot? Black can’t play …Nxh7 or he will lose his Q for a B. So, black has to play Kh8. Then white plays Qh3 setting up a discovered check, planning Bg6+ next followed by Bxf6 and then Qh7++ next. If, instead, black tries … e5 right after Qh3, then Bf5+ wins the black B outright. And the attack still rages on. Did I miss something?
At the end after…Qg7, Rg3 Qxg3, fxg3 for example black is down a queen for a rook. For sure the black King is exposed but is there no way to hide Kh8 and bring the passive rooks on the g file and keep playing?
The only thing that I could see is that there is f6 creating an escape square and Queen takes h7 is not that venomous anymore or maybe just that Queen takes h7 isn't really a big threat. And because c3 threatens the queen, then the threat on the queen is greater than the threat on h7.

I didn’t find the move. I did look at Qh6 and then rook lift but I thought black have f5 and Qf8 and even if I can give a check my queen is still hanging after king move and I can’t take black queen because the rook also protected it. Had I not abandon the idea and look ahead just one more move I’d realized I have Qf6 mate in 2. I guess I just click on the answer to fast.

Love watching ur videos mr Nelson, keep it up😎😎
these kind of videos are very very interesting! keep it up!
love this series, keep going, great job, thanks
Brilliant game, with excellent explanation!
Nelson! You forgot to assign us homework! Loving this series so far.
Another great instructive game / lesson , thank you - just shows how easy it is to " innocently " really weaken your position ! Much to learn
This series is just quality!
Also great choice for a book study. I can hardly wait for ep.32, the video on Canal-Capablanca.
Everytime he says a little bit tricky he means extremely tricky
Brillante. Allways good explanation. Many tks my friend
Again great stuff. Sure I've been in similar situations and didn't find the right move ending up in draws or even lost the game.

18:13 I think somebody chess players say some time: Silent moves is much more dangerous than a check move
Cool game. Looking forward to seeing some Budapest content! The A rook sometimes gets lifted to h3 and wins the game.
I now have "thumbs up" for Chess Vibes automatically connected to the play button! :) 👍👍👍

Tip 11: (after Qh6) Can black push his pawn to f5? Blocking the B from controlling h7 square. Then white threat is over.
Tip 14: Always watch Nelson's chess tips videos😊. Thanks again for your brilliant instructive videos.

Good morning, Nelson! ❤
like your videos bro and your a amazing teacher
Can't wait for the climb rating series
I need a training for these attacking patterns. I would chose the wrong move in 80% of the situations, but have similar positions everytime I play with white.
What time do you podcast
But what about Queen g4 at 21:15 , can prevent or delay the checkmate...? Just asking
The variation Mieses played is the Rubenstein French. It's perfectly playable, but it's solid, rather than aggressive or tactical.
@23:30- ish: Wouldn't b6 followed by white trading knights not pretty much just lead to the same situation we looked at today?
At 19:55, since e6 is pinned Re5 also seems to work... with Rxf5 next.
20:27
What if white goes Rh3 instead of c3?
Like does it change anything? The queen is still forced to guard the diagonal or its the same checkmate.
10:12 I don't see that as any threat. I would just push g7 pawn. Or take white Q, then Nd1. If he takes black rook, N takes white rook. No further threats.
Noted. Tip 13: Never ever play the French.
😂
I mean, you can play French people, they suck.
When you're white and black plays the French defense, you as white are still playing against a French defence. So technically you're playing a French, only as white.
Tip 13: never ever play the French defence as black. 😊
Unless you're German.
The real tip 13: never play b6 as black in french.
can you make a video how to counterattack when opponent have big and strong center?
A really beautiful game by Tarrasch!
12:10 (and the similar position a bit later) How about if black plays h5? after which black's knight and queen should be able to defend against white's attack, or so it seems to the severely limited ELO chess computer between my ears.
Why don’t you put evolution bar on the screen 😩 that can be helpful for viewers
Fantastic
I found C3 in a second with the same explanation going on in my mind😂
How should an 1800 Player improve to reach 2000+ and so on...? Please tell
Same doubt. I am too stuck at 1850

21:15 So would Black's last hope be to play Qxe3? At least there's some comp for the Queen and they have a little time.
Maybe, but if you play Qg7 white play Rg3 and now Qxg3 (hxg3/fxg3) white is double pawn. If you play Qxe3 (fxe3/Qxe3) white is no now double pawn.
@@TeroKoskinen-xy2zzDouble Pawn isn't as bad as an Isolated Pawn.

Noted. Tip 14: The order of your moves matters a lot in the game 😅😅😅 do what the position wants you to do😂
Can't white go Rg3+ and then go c3 anyway in the end because if Qe5 then just f4 and the same idea is in place.
Queen to G7 and then Queen to G6 prevents having to forfeit. Still in a bad position but you can play it out from there.
