I was playing dw frost since prepatch and today I got into group with unholy and it was the first spec that was keeping up with me in damage. DKs eating good in pre-patch love to see it.
From what I've played of Unholy so far they did a good job not dumbing down the spec while making it more intuitive. That being said we all know the devs are going to crush it for progression, which has already started to happen. I ran a Brackenhide as Unholy and Offensive as Frost, 498 ilvl. Frost bursting for nearly 3 million b/c set bonus.
Awesome vid. Looking forward to trying Unholy. I do have a question though. How does it preform on normal pulls? Your tank in the video is chaining packs together which is great for UH. How would it preform if he was just pulling these packs one at a time like your average pug tank? Edit: I played Arms Warrior the other day and it is absolutely pumping. Crazy numbers and my ilvl was only 502.
Simply put...Genius! I tried out the talents and your right...AOE is solid (WOW!), Survivability is solid ( i'm like unkillable now) Single target is....not badAlso do we need more HASTE now? or it doesn't really matter? The Superstrain talent tree does very well in M+

Tried this build out in a couple of keys and its just mellllting enemies. Im a bit disappointed the pets cant pump these numbers as id love to be more pet focused in higher end content. But for this stuff or lower keys? Extremely fun definitely reccommend UH players try this out.
what i really hate with Unholy DK still is that we are still stuck with Unholy Aura. We should have gotten something that lets us raise skeleton warriors in it's place to aplly a stacking damage debuff, they could easily have made it capped to 1 skeleton per Scourge Strike/Sudden Doom Death Coil. This is not my idea i read this on the EU Beta Forum, was a Death Knight player there who suggested this, it would have better synergy with the rest of the talent tree.
Hey did we get bamboozled with festermight? I thought it was suppose to get updated to behave like ironfur. We're still losing the whole stack buff at the end of 20 seconds and have to start a new 20 second window
When defile is down, is it correct to keep spamming SS even though I am overcapping on runic power? or should I be still spending with epidemic even during defile? thanks man!
Yep they just flat nerfed 10% every ability, plus a further 35% on Trollbane's Fury (the aoe ice one) & some other bits, clawing shadows 25% etc.. Didn't see a single nerf to Augvoker tho, naturally

DK will be lucky to even have a raid spot with no raid buff, amz util being garbage and our dps not even being the best.
10% nerf meanwhile we’re not even the #1 dps spec right now, we have no raid buff, and our only utility is nerfed amz… there is literally not going to be a reason to bring a dk to mythic raid next season unless blood is giga-broken, enough to push BM/VDh out, which wont happen.🙄 why cant the dk dev be more like the rogue/dh dev and just let us be OP for the entire xpac. My favorite class in the game gets more and more cooked every single xpac because the lead dk dev is spineless.
Please stop releasing these vids until TWW goes live, they're clearly watching lol, every vid like this and it's okay -15% every ability, okay nevermind another -10% every ability etc
If they wanted to nerf us they would have along with hunters, they nerfed specifically in beta because they felt the tuning was off relative to other classes

should be fairly common knowledge to always drop PI on an UH DK as prio, minions scale best off the haste, same as Demo Lock usually..

Because unholy dk is the melee blizzard wants meta for raids you can already tell what the metas are for pve.
