Thanks for posting, I like the sound of these group. In the very early sixties, I played in a wedding band with an 8:50 accordion. Party halls usually didn’t have decent pianos back in New Jersey. The accordion worked out pretty well.
Great stuff. Are there other examples of jazz music featuring the accordion pre-1950? I only know of Art Van Damme’s Cocktail Capers album (1949), and a song by The Ali Baba Trio feat. Valaida Snow called “Patience and Fortitude”-which also has a video available on RUclips.
Hey, thanks for watching! I don't have these uploaded here at the moment but maybe try Stan Kenton - A Presentation of Progressive Jazz, Lennie Tristano - Crosscurrents, and The Brothers Sandole - Modern Music from Philadelphia.
Everything Teo Macero touched turned to gold.
I bought the original 10" in N.Y in early sixties.iconic and fabulous album.Thank you so much for makin' it available again!

Thanks for uploading. I discovered this album by researching Mingus' Debut Records label

Unfortunately I can't think of much pre-1950 off the top of my head, maybe Leon Sash?
Thanks for uploading. Very good album! Got anything else like this?
