CONTENTMENT
(1Timothy 6)
1. There is great gain in godliness
With contentment; for we
Have brought nothing into the world and
It is manifest that
We can carry nothing out of it.
But having sustenance
And covering, we will be content,
We’ll be content with these.
2. People who want to get rich fall
Into temptation and
A trap and into many foolish
And harmful desires…
That plunge men into perdition and
Destruction. For the love
Of money is a root of all kinds,
Of all kinds of evil.
3. Some people, eager for money,
Have wandered from the faith
And pierced themselves with many sorrows.
But you, flee from all this,
And take hold of the eternal life,
Follow after faith, love,
Endurance, righteousness, godliness,
And meekness of spirit.
