    I agree. Valley of Fire State Park is deserving of being a National Park. I spent one day in Valley of Fire and it was a tremendous adventure. If you are in Vegas, leave the strip and check out nature.

    Great info! I wanted to add that there are TONS of long hikes too! There's a great book by Annie Swan with loads of routes. We spent 5 full days in the park and could have easily stayed longer. Basically has something for everybody and all ages.

    I really love this park! I have mixed feelings here, half "yay, someone else loves this place" and half "oh no don't tell everyone its there!" :D You're missing out with Atlatl Rock, though, it's one of my favorite rock art panels in the region.
