  • Why is the cross step so difficult? The cross step is one of the most basic steps in longboard dancing, but can be one of the most difficult steps starting out. In this video, I've broken down how I understand the balancing and steps required to successfully learn the cross step, how to polish the cross step, and how to integrate it into lines. Feel free to skip through the video to find the stage of the cross step that you're working on!

I love your teaching style. I haven't attempted the cross-step yet as I've only been longboarding for a little over a week. I managed to do my first dozen ghost rides today, though.

I got the cross step down pretty quickly but I still feel so weird and unsafe doing them, this really helped me address my balance amd stance issues yay!
I checked your channel and insta for more tips and they were all great, but you havent uploaded in a while, are you not skating anymore?

I hope you can still get some free time to relax or skate or do whatever you enjoy :)

@@DrJinKwonI am! I took a gap year after uni but now I'm back and going to start my dermatology residency in October. Skating became my hobby quite recently because I have a lot of time to spare until then haha
Hope everything is going well for you in optometrics, I heard it's quite competitive and stressful?
