Hallo. Danke das dieses Video nach 8 Jahren immer noch online ist und mir eine tolle Hilfe war.
Eine Frage bitte: Kann man den Modchip jederzeit neu flashen von der XBOX aus, oder brauche ich dafür einen teuren externen Programmer? Habe gelesen, dass es einige SST Speicherchips geben soll, die man nicht in der Xbox flashen kann.
Wenn ich zb. die TrueHexen 2021 DVD nehme und möchte damit ein von mir angepasstes Evo-X Bios flashen will, dann zeigt mir das Programm an das der Modchip unbekannt sei und nicht unterstützt werden würde. Habe vor kurzem erst ein 1.6er Board mit Xecuter Chip mit der DVD zerstört und habe nun eine 1.4er Xbox mit einem Aladdin XT Plus2, traue mich aber nicht das Bios zu flaschen. Nicht das diese Box dann auch noch defekt ist :(

wenn man die Box komplett zerlegt, würde ich empfehlen direkt noch einen 80mm Lüfter nachzurüsten. Der kostet weniger als 5EUR und das Ganze dauert vllt 5-10min. Leider ist das Philips Laufwerk auch etwas lauter als das Samsung, bei mir zumindest.
kann man machen, wenn der alte zu verstaubt ist. ich hab aber meinen ausgeblassen und hat vorläufig den zweck gut erfüllt.

+pcplsdxtc as i clearly made visible that it is the version 1.3 your question makes half sense.
in general it is the same. xbox 1.6 needs 5 additional soldering points to connect on the board backside. the diagram shows where. if you can solder the rest shown in the video, you should be able to do the additional work on the backside too.
1.6 is able to be modchipped too but its more difficult
Really need instal all four wires? I saw that only BT and DO is needed! Please tell me
it can be, that some versions of old XBOXs do not need all wires.
HO for example is just for the hdd LED and it should work on all consoles without it.
but since you are anyway in that sections of soldering things you can easy also solder L1. if you are unsecure anyway with soldering, you should not modify your xbox :-/

Does Aladdin need also to connect the socket to the motherboard? I have version 1.0 of the Xbox.
it does not "need" the socket. you could solder it also direct on the board. but it is recommend, if something is wrong with the chip, you simply can remove it and put a new one on the socket.
Hii, i have your same model of xbox, same Philips DVD player and same chip mod but when i turn on my xbox i have error 07. Can you help me please ?
esesrox86 just search for the error in google. there are many lists (some more detailed then others) which explains what the error is and how to fix it easily. yours looks like you just did not plug the IDE cable right. either on the motherboard side or on one of the drives.
Ich nochmal.. Habe jetzt einen Aladdin XT Plus2 eingebaut und die Box gestartet. Aladdin leuchtet rot, aber kein EvoX Logo.. Verbindungen gecheckt, sieht alles in Ordnung aus. Weißt du da vllt etwas?
Er müsste Orange leuchten. Und da du das Logo nicht siehst (hast du auch 1 Sekunde lang draufgehalten beim Einschalten auf den Powerbutton?) ist wohl eben doch falsch verlötet oder nicht sauber.
In seltenen Fällen kann es auch sein, dass ein "schlechtes" Bios auf dem Modchip vorhaden ist (schlecht im Sinne von nicht abgestimmt zu deiner XBOX Version, zB. 1.5+1.6), dann müsstest du zuerst mit der XTC Multi und der ultimatebootdisc ein Bios drauf laden (dafür zuerst die hdd unlocken, ebenfalls mit den discs möglich).
Aber es wird eher der Fall sein, dass du nicht richtig verlötet hast.

hello, nice video. I installed aladdin as you did, everything ok, working. I only have one problem I can't get out of the games, I always have to switch off and on again. I tried to fleshare the bios but it doesn't always remain the pre-installed one. help me please
Sorry, cant help you with that. Normally you can get back to menu with START+SELECT+BLACK+WHITE pressing at the same time 2-3 times.
funktioniert das noch immer sehr gut? wie bekommt man dann die games? ueber disk oder wie? kannst mir das bitte erklaeren
Obelic wieso sollte das nicht gut funktionieren?
wenn man eine grössere festplatte einbaut, kann man die disk mit tools auf die festplatte kopieren und bequem anwählen. oder man sucht im internet nach seiten wo die ISO dateien der games angeboten werden, brennt sie auf dvd oder kopiert sie von einem pc mit tools auf die xbox. tipps wie das geht und wo man die sachen herkriegt, musst du selber nachforschen.

Gam3ingPr0zz spielt für die xbox eigentlich keine rolle, praktisch alle lötstellen sind sehr gross bis auf den d0.
Muss mann UBD und xtc auf eine dvd brennen oder auf 2 verschiedene??
es sind 2 verschiedene start discs. daher auch auf 2 verschiedene dvds brennen.

The serial number almost shows version not 100 percent accurate but here they are its under the MFG DATE on sticker on bottom of xbox

you will get problems with limited edition xbox and have there the most conflicts. also the serial determination gets in conflict with different countries were it started to sell earlier or later packed old MB in new cases etc.
so not a very good way to find out which version one has. unfortunaly xbox-scene is gone, they had a to the core determination guide which helped to find out by looking at the cpu, fan or fanless, which ram it was used and what VPU (video processor unit), powersuply and which drives were used etc. you still can get a guide but i found only a german one circuit-board.de/forum/index.php/Thread/19720-Xbox-Revisionen-erkennen-unterscheiden-und-Besonderheiten/
