I'm glad you guys are enjoying this series! It means quite a lot! However, I should mention that episode 9 will be the last episode. There is a small posibility that I will do a sequel series in the future, but this series is only dedicated to the main characters, meaning I won't do characters like Thumper or Colin the crane XD.
That controller was a right monster when telling the engines they were outdated. Poor Douglas, I'd have been scared in his place too. If engines could be hugged, he needed one. Good on Donald for helping smuggle him over to Sodor. I knew he'd show his 'big brother instinct' in this one. The interactions between the two kept me all fuzzy inside. I knew I was in for something good before I pressed play, and I was correct.
11:12 OMG amazing grace fits perfectly in the background music. I don't know why but I feel bad for Donald and Douglas until amazing grace is played because they have been through so much pain with their old controller and now it is the start of a new life on sodor
Well, I'm glad this episode came out, as it shows the many things in Donald and Douglas' childhood that we would later see, such as their hatred of diesels, and their rivalry with the Spiteful Brakevan. Though it is still a shame that Mallardfan62 missed an opportunity to play Duck. I also loved the reference to Austin Powers: The Spy who Shagged me (1999). Can't wait to see Oliver's stories (when they near completion, of course)!
*"First things first! Where's your sh***er? I got a turtle head poking out."* - *Fat Bastard (Mike Myers),* "Austin Powers: The Soy Who Shagged Me" (1999).
The way Thompson looks is very weird. A green Mallard with James's face not filling the the whole front side. (The opposite of Spencer's face). I think you get the idea. But besides that, the whole series is AMAZING!!!!
I'm from Scotland and you're Scottish accent is actually really good, T1E2H3, only nitpick is when you say MacIntosh, you put the emphasis on the "Mac"

I personally think you did very well with the Scottish accent you put on, every time I try to put on a Scottish accent it sounds more like an Irish accent.
I almost thought the shot where the engines crossed the bridge was backwards, that they were leavings Sodor, but instead, the shot was aimed on an opposite side as the mechanics of the lift bridge are on Sodor.
Donald and Douglas where built in 1899 that's 50 years before the last NKP steam engines built by lima locomotive works & 100 years later when Lori Loud Was Born
@@EddieMillerStudios Was that from the episode *"Diesel's Devious Deed" (S2, E13)?** - *American version only,* preferrably with the late *George Carlin.*
You probably should have made Thompson an ex LMS engine, the LMS mostly became the West coast mineline under BR, while the LNER became the East coast mainline an LNER A4 would have had to have gotten REALLY lost to end up meeting Donald and Douglas on their line.
Pause at 4:21....... Take a look who is in the first shed to the right......IS THAT TIMOTHY!?!?!?!?! Not only is this controller's voice voiced by the same one in Horror on the Kirk Ronan branch its also been confirmed they're the same person!!!!!!!
There's no middle ground, is there? Either they're preservationists or evil diesel-lovers. I want a good "anti-hero" controller that reminds us that despite the fact that the engines are alive, it's still a business. :P
I've seen the whole thing. Can't spoil too much, but it's a great story. I did a picture series of what the original special was going to be before it was changed and.... hoo boy was it darker than the story we actually got.
Pretty good part, and pretty good cliffhanger at the end. Also about that controller, someone oughta teach him about the importance of steam to the railways. Also, I was just thinking, if someone made a good model of Hank for Trainz, then you'd probably be able to do a special of his life back on the Pennsylvania Railroad in the United States and how an American engine like him came to be on Sodor.
You just had to do that Donald Trump joke, didn't you... 😂 It's a shame that this Series is coming to an end. At least it will end in Two parts. I'm guessing the episodes will be: Oliver/Isabel/Toad hiding from Scrap [VIII] and a modified story of "Escape" [IX].
+Thomas1Edward2Henry3 what ever happened to Thompson after British Railways was he scrapped or preserved in operational condition as it's your stories?
