- Vampire Survivors Part 4 - it's actually super hidden unless you look it up. And the reward is something I genuinely love - a challenging character! This guy has negative stats to start out with, as well as one of the most useless starting attacks in the game. Winning with him is an uphill battle!

There aren't... more secret characters, are there?
there is One more that the community knows of. its name is MissingNo and to unlock it you have to kill death, this is commonly done by just editing the game files to give garlic basically inf power so it can one shot death. MissingNo has randomised stats every run and its great if your getting bored of the current characters.
I have tried to unlock this character so many times how do you do this. the second I press x the start screen vanishes

i like how the whole point of this character is to have horrible stats but good luck and tyler never found peachone or a triple chest

I agree actually, just 30 freaking minutes ago i tried for the Vandalier achievement, and after getting ebony wings as my 2nd weapon, it took till lv46 before finally getting peachone, i was at 20min by that time. Thankfully i had the means to max them out and even maxed out Vandalier by the time i hit 30min
It’s never a good sign when a Vampire Survivors video is less than 30 minutes long.
Well, it's edited a bit, so 25 mins is quite reasonable for a win. Both the last vids were shorter. But ofc the second run was very unlikely in that time.

ExDash's luck is useful for item drops and crit weapons like the whip and sword.
I've noticed some irregularities before, in at least 2 runs of other youtubers. Maybe there are some hidden reqs for some items on some characters. Since "X-" is a lucky char, the clover could have been far better than bracers. And since you're surrounded all the time during late game, even the slowest fireballs can't miss everything. Maybe clover is needed to unlock Peach for X- (just guessing here).
I love this little indie game, can't wait to watch another episode! Thank you so much Tyler for having such a wide variety of content to watch everyday.
The secret characters name is a code entered into the ps1/saturn game Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. This entire game is a reference to it. All the way down to finding stone mask on a table next to a bookshelf in a library.
Isn’t the stone mask also a jojo’s reference? It’s called the stone mask in jojo’s and it is a game where the point is killing vampires.

Such an unusual way of making a secret character, it reminds me of cheat codes in old console games
Probably the goal they were going for, this game gives me huge castlevania and ghosts N goblins vibes as well, since many of its weapons and enemies reference those games
He is not unlocked just by the cheat, there is a 0.1% chance to unlock him each time you pick up a little 4 leaf clover (not the passive item).
The reason people know of the cheat is that they just looked at the game's code and his unlock literally says "Just use the cheat"
I mean, it quite literally is a cheat code in an old console game, namely Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. X-X!V''Q, the code that you type into this game to unlock Exdash, can be used as a name in said game to start the game with 99 luck and a Lapis Lazuli ring, giving another 20 luck, while lowering all other stats.

Hey tyler! Thx for showing off this game, i bought it pretty much immediately after watching your first video and its insanely fun, yet challenging, really looking forward to the future content the dev/s said would be coming to it.
Same its a simple action packed game. But going far becomes very difficult and tons of fun. With so many evolutions it also adds a lot of replay ability. Thats if you even make it that far :)
It was pretty obvious in the first game that with the weapons you had, moving down toward enemies from above them was always a bad choice. Since your whip is horizontal and above you. But you seemed trained from other characters and abilities (such as any straight firing ability like the wand or weapons like the axes) to move down. Because you kept doing it and running into enemies, as if you expected them to die, despite not having any weapons whatsoever that could hit below you except for the random Ebony or Runetracer. That's why you kept getting hurt. You were practically running into the enemies below you as if they would die from something, when there was never anything that was going to kill them.
Can't wait for secret character, hyper mode, no meta upgrades
Day one of asking Tyler to play shattered Pixel dungeon. I have put a ridiculous amount of hours into this game and it never gets old. Maybe a long series?

I mean he doesn't play RPGs as much but I do like me some pixel dungeon. Might make for a good few videos at least though. Doesn't need to be shattered, really could be base pixel dungeon or any other mod (there's a lot of them since it's open source).
Garlic, kings bible, ebony wings, peachone, axe magic wand is a really good combo, especially garlic evolved
Fun fact, exdash has a chance to unlock when you pick up a clover off the ground, but its super low and I don't believe luck modifies it

Ebony Wings and Peachone are easily the best late game weapon, because the combined bird can also level up 7 times again, reducing cooldown to be up almost permanently.
You're crazy brother. All these uploads with a huge variety of games has got to be hard to keep up with. We appreciate all you're doin for us and for yourself my man, be sure not to overwork yourself!
I find these runs more entertaining than the previous rounds even though you lost
the thing with this character is that it's a reference to symphony of the night, more specifically the luck name code you can do which gives Alucard 99 luck, and a ring that increases luck (by +20) but all of his stats are lowered, which makes the game harder despite the fact that you have incredibly high luck. the code is X-X!V''Q, which is pretty much what you have to type in (subbing out the ! and " for letters). so all in all this character is a challenge character AND a SotN reference (which this game takes heavy inspiration/styling from castlevania and ESPECIALLY SotN!)

It feels like Ebony wings & Peachone only attack in the half-circle furthest away from you.
It'd be better if their projectiles home onto a fixed point on the rotating circle rather than loosely fired projectiles that barely ever lands in the circle so even if you try to aim it'll always miss groups of enemies despite the entirety of the circle covering all of the enemies.
They do fire in the full circle, but when you move you move the circle too, and the rockets don't move with the circle, they just fire themselves into the position the circle was exactly when they were fired.
I think the easiest solution to this is just making the projectiles either larger, or be able to intercept enemies while they're in flight
If the projectiles track the AOE circle instead of dumb-firing onto the ground, then there won't be a need for larger/intercepting projectiles since the general balance stays the same while shooting more accurately relative to the player's movement.

Since your loving vampire survivors a game i suggest to you is called magic survival i used to play it on mobile but idk if its on pc or not and its like this game but its endless scaling and its gets to the point where the game just tries to kill you and throws everything at you ive seen people survive more than a hour in the game if i remember at most ive lasted nearly a hour and theres ton of classes and upgrades and fusions which are kinda like ascended weapons in this game which combine max lvl upgrades together to make super weapons
I've played that game and it was fun
I'd love to see the peachone secret synergy
Luck does at least increase brazier spawn rate and drop those aoe explosions/flamethrowers more often.

It feels like Peachone is super rare since the update.
Ebony Wings / Peachone is really really hard to use for beginners,but I do have to say, I'm starting to really enjoy them myself
When you get garlic it takes a second before it does anything. So be careful to wait before diving in to enemies when you get garlic.
When you upload these videos on the games I love it makes my day.

I had a setup using exdash to farm meta currency; I would average 8k-11k per run, which is very helpful considering that the upgrades cost more and more the more of them you get.
I’m not sure why there is not a six hour stream of this game I could literally watch it all night please upload a lot more videos of this game.

Wait you don’t have separate bitrate and resolution settings for streaming and recording? OBS allows you to pre-set it in case you didn’t know! Assuming you use OBS ofc, ya could be using something else
There is another secret character, but it seems impossible to get without cheats. I wont spoil anything, but I think its the most unique character.
It's impossible normally. Dev mentioned it. But apparently at some point it will be possible, so that's cool.

At minute 13 I just recommend holding W or S and simply non-stop running in picked direction. If you back up then you're trapped inside a circle of swarming enemies, as you showed ;)

I think ebony wings is just peachone. It does the same thing. It might just be reskinned for this character or smth edit: nevermind, they're different apparently.

@@armansagmanligil1144 with peachone the circle orbits clockwise while ebony wings goes CCW. Also together they make the vandalier.
@@crazybeatrice4555 I don't know how consistent this is because I've had times where both ebony and peachone were overlapped consistently for a full playthrough. It was weird.

Didn't get any 4th choice for upgrade
Can't blame you for losing, Exdash is a bad character BECAUSE you are stuck with the bird.
If you end up getting Peachone, you basically have to waste 16 level ups on upgrading them both, and then hope to get the Vandalier fast.
If you don't get Peachone, you need to hope to not be forced into upgrading Ebony Wings too many times early on, and that your 5 other weapons will be good enough.
Vandalier is the best end game weapon, but both basic birds are the worst weapons in the game, maybe slightly better than Santa Water
I think the Peachone is pronounced like Pigeon. Idk, it just seems to make sense.

luck seem to affect the drop of exp also(not all killed enemies drop exp)...with this character I tend to take garlic early for bat killing(ignores cooldown duration and speed so you don't mind the bad stats on the character early on) king bible(evolved bible makes the game a piece of cake) magic wand for bosses...spellbinder and empty tome to evolve the bible and wand...once evolved(lvl9) its good to take candelabra and axe(evolved passes through enemies), runetracer(pierces enemies), cross(pushes enemies back) with clover, peachone ...whichever drops...great but not necessary: attractor, spinach, more projectiles, bracer
if u have a max lvl king bible(+spellbinder), max lvl magic wand(+empty tome), cross and max lvl axe(+candelabra) with spinach you can almost stand still and just collect exp
also: since you get much more fires(big luck stat) its a good strategy to run around and have some chicken and crosses(kills everything on screen) not collected and remember where they dropped...when you are in a pickle u just collect them and can breathe for a sec

I kind of had to warm up to this game NGL, it just kind of felt.... Idk basic? Its just an open field with enemies randomly spawning right? But there's more depth to it than it would appear on the surface, which is neat. Though I still feel like it could have more depth in other ways, its not as basic as it looked from first glance.
I feel like if get the candle holder that gives %10 AOE, get maxed king bible, garlic armor, and maxed of bombardment then it would be really powerful, or just max bombardment in general i think should be good
sorry for the back seat , idk if u know this but with the birds u would like to get emty tome and spellbinder so that the birds can fire nearly infinitely and u can add the Candelabrador too because that is a zone and probably Bracer so that the fired projectiles move faster or duplicator (not sure witch is better ,my bett is on duplicator thou) (and i am saying this because u have skipped like 4 spellbinders )

The character is alot easier in the library because in the library you get a free level so you don't have to waste the first min trying to level once.

Bracer is really good with king bible as well because the faster spinning = higher dps

With the right upgrades this im pretty sure is possible, the last minute will be extremely difficult though. You can make king bible act like vespers with enough cooldown reduction and up time, same for wand acting like its upgrade, and garlic. It wouldnt be the best idea going for the birds with this idea though
@Fusion Wing given this start, I'd genuinely add lightning rod and santa water.
spinach, empty tomb, spellbinder, that aoe booster, and duplicator as boost items; king bible, garlic, one of the two wands (not sure which would be better), and lightning ring plus santa water. theres also the potential knife corner strat in library
Magic wand and fire wand are probably swappable, depending on if the player prefers damage at the cost of somewhat random firing direction and slower atk spd, or less damage, much faster fire rate, and always aiming at the closest enemy. Basically machine gun or shotgun, either can do quite well

True, the lv8 upgrade gives it the ability to pierce 1 enemy, iirc the fire wand also gets pierce though
