I LOOOOOOOOOVE Stompin’ Tom❣️❣️❣️
I am 79 and in my 20’s I dated my first husband at the Horseshoe many a night when Tom was performing. My husband thought he was just the greatest. I still have all his records and a crisp brand new dollar that he signed for me. Many fun nights. After we were married our home always would have a Stomping Tom record on. Thank you for this it has brought back tons of memories. He was the best! True Canadian for sure. His songs always made you smile. Very proud Canadian.🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦♥️
Stompin' Tom is always a comfort. He gave pure honesty and reverence with every note and every word.
I found Tom just scrolling folk music as an American never exposed to his music in 60 yrs but damn glad I found him I’m proud as hell of him and I’m not even Canadian!!!
Parents from the island and Bud the Spud record was part of their collection, didn’t have to force me to listen and still do, Keep on Stompin Canada and take our independence back from the Corporate Globalist, be like Tom and strong 👍🇨🇦
I got to Canada in 1975 , my brother introduced me to him . I've been a fan right away . His spirit is spread all over This wonderfully country. R I P ❤🎸🎶
This is the biggest loss that Canada has ever had 😢 We need another entertainer with the heart ❤️ that Tom had for this beautiful country ❤️❤️❤️❤️🙏🏻 rest peacefully Tom, rest peacefully for evermore ❤️❤️❤️❤️

That young boy-14 years old!!) is absolutely amazing!!!!
Just after Canadian Lumberjack, not a single soul got up to let the man have a seat for a min when he realized theres no chairs, yet they could all clap when someone else gave him a seat. Id be honored to give my seat to Tom
Such a true Canadian legend. Stompin Tom is the best.
I seen him live at Lulu's roadhouse in Kitchener he was great RIP a Canadien legend
Love from Kitchener Ontario Canada
I was born 20 years too late. Wish I could of seen him live!! Greatest Canadian ever!!!!
Hi guys. I uploaded this video after youtube added the functionality for uploading longer video clips. What better video to use to try it, right? I found this online a couple of years ago, originally, so it doesn't really have anything to do with anyone else's uploads here. Also, I'm not an American, I'm a Canadian through and through (I could be nothing else). Have a good one!
What a great Canadian ambassador!! Love all of his songs!1
Sharon Geall I pray God gives us back Stompin’ Tom and we’ll give Trudeau up in exchange
Greatest Canadian entertainer ever!!!! Never to be replaced
God I miss this era!
I was there at the HORSESHOE TAVERN on Queen West, Toronto that night. I did the sign that you see behind Tom on the wall at the back of the stage...The owners knew that CBC were coming...and I last saw my favorite Canadian Performer,... RIP Tom .(y) :)
AT 48:44 Tom sits at a table and pours a beer. That guy beside him looks like legendary guitar player Roy Buchanan ??
Dad?????
Hey Jack, I grew up down the road from the Horseshoe Tavern and played with a band at the Horseshoe. I was underage at the time and played lead guitar. It lasted a few months until the owned found out I was underage as the rest of the band worked at a trucking company out on the Queensway. The Parkdale, Drake , Edgewater and Elmgrove plus many others were hang outs for many east coast people. I have played with many bands since then and ended up retiring back in the east coast.
still one of canada's longest running independent artist
Clifford Morency, This man was biggest loss that Canada has ever had. Reast in peace Stompin Tom.
R.I.P. the king of Canadian Country Music

My god thankfully someone decided to film this. Thanks forever !!
Brings back memories of coming home drunk at 2AM and watching this on City TV. Stompin' Tom will always be a Canadian Legend!
I meet Tom in Fernie BC CANADA two times at the bar Fernie motor inn ❤
Stompin Tom Connors is Canada's man in black
thanks for posting this, miss old Tom im happy I got to see him live a few times, losing Him, and the Gords (Downie and Lightfoot) so close together was a gut punch for Canadian Folk music....they put our stories into song, and they will always be treasured.
Myself and comrades, stumbled in by chance, to a very small tavern in London Ontario, and I had heard the name Stompin Tom and also the song Tillsonburg prior. This is in the heady times of the early 80s and Stompin Tom went thru his repertoire of favorites as a true showman, playing to stoners like us, and the regulars. Show was good, I thought at that time. Now, as I reflect, it was really fantastic and his talent shines so bright, as a brilliant Canadien Super Star. Tip of the hat to yas Tom. Need more youtube material of the man performing.
Great movie ❤love watching 👀 it 👌 R I P Stompin Tom
Back in the 70's when CITY TV would run this (and people watched the channel), it was the perfect excuse for them to have a couple tilts. CITY seemed to run it every couple of weeks. Thumbs up if that's where you saw it!
I used to have a VHS recording of this from the City viewings...always loved this!!
CJOH in Ottawa at the time ran this a few times as well!
"Folks be sure to visit Stompin Tom Conners grave site. He is buried in Erin Cemetery. Easy to find. For sometime it was kept closely under a sealed tongue as the family did not want the public to know until he was peacefully laid to rest. They did not want a fan fair made of it. I have been there. His stone is wonderful. A great memory for Tom. Also have seen him three times and been to the Maple Leaf Hotel in Timmins which is no longer there. Also other hotels he played in, in Sault St. Marie, Cochrane, Kapuskasing. Tom was in a class by himself. He represented the working man of which I and my father are and were. He told us many things about our country that we never took the time to find for ourselves. Also be sure to look up Find a Grave Memorial as you will find info there on Tom and can send flowers and notes through email. The amount of tributes to Tom on this site is totally disgusting. I think mainly because many do not know about it. RIP Tom your biggest fan.
Stompin Tom is a GREAT CANADIAN AND MUSIC LEGEND. I saw him as a teenager in Minden Ontario at the arena and at the Horseshoe when I was old enough to be there and was fortunate enough to shake his hand. In my personal opinion Stompin Tom is in the top 3 of the Greatest Canadians to ever live. Long live the memory and music of the Great Stompin Tom Connors.
Wow. I am oozing maple syrup after watching all this Canadian-ness.
Nothing better, rainy day drinking beer and rocking this for the kids to hear!
I just found this Artist on UTube, he is 👍🤣😅😂😇
I’ve been to Prince Edward Island and she’s a great time
Gon but not forgotten RIP stomping tom connor
miss you tom r.i.p
this is really something special. stoned...drunk...and loving this.
Even as a swede i enjoy the music Tom Connors made
Many years ago he was playing at the Inch Arran arena in Dalhousie NB
Later that night after his performance he dropped in the only night club in town and it was packed with concert goers. So this guy with a big cowboy hat walked up to our table and asked if he could join us.
He introduced himself and I said Right and I'm Johnny Cash. He laughed and had a beer. The band introduced him to the crowd and that's when and first met him. I was a little embarrassed needless to say.
When we left his black Buick was parked outside of the club. I never got to meet him again.
I still love him 💛and listen to his music to this day.
That "CN Passenger train" Song With beautiful Ladies. I think I would in heaven.
I remember watching this with my Dad for the first time. He was half in the bag and I was nicely toasted. It's one of my favourite memories, now I'm watching it with my 3 year old daughter.
Half in the bag i hope
He was amazing and he will be missed. I suspect wherever he ended up he's kicking up a storm.
I still remember as a kid at a Show In Coldwater Ontario. An audience member had screamed something up to Tom on stage. And his reply, lol................Boy. The last time I saw a mouth that big. It was on the end of a fishin hook!! ;), lol
One of a kind he was ;)
Great music to keep your legs moving so you won't stiffen up I'm 83 trying to keep moving.
Him 30 years ago at the Havelok country Jamboree and I am still playing his music
GLD 🎉

Ballad of stopped Tom
Fuck'n Awesome!! oh yeah EHHH!!! ;)
If this came out to DVD by Lionsgate Films, this is something must be done even if this movie returns to the theaters for it's 50 anniversary in 2023.
Good-ole Stompin Tom, The Best 👌🏼( a true Canadian, didn't forget the frenchman.. lol 😆)
my brother recently moved to the island (we grew up in, and I live in Alberta) and when I listen to this and it takes me back to when we used to work together and every weekend we would get together to drink suds and blast stompin tom all night long.
I dare you to watch this video and not find yourself stomping your foot or clapping your hands along with the songs...
Christmas day 2017 in the maritimes....i'm listening. He makes a great home even better.
Unless I'm mistaken Bobby Lalonde was the only one that ever had great success! Kind of sad we never heard from the others!
Was out in PEI a few weeks back and saw a tribute show of Tom Connors and his life story. A truly amazing man, a true Canadian and a true loss to Canada. RIP Tom. Met his son once, an awkward meeting, looked just like him down to the cowboy boots but, not so happy??
I love it.thanks for sharing.
Astounding !!
The irish moss song is wonderful and shows the different ways the Maritimers
scratch by.
Doing what they can , to keep it together.
Its hard for the people from away to understand or appreciate the
Maritimers ways of life.
Sadly fading away.
I love every one of them and cherish every minute I spent there.
loves the hockey song video! Leafs Habs Saturday Night...
95% Canadian long ago
Brilliant
Stompin' Tom is as Canadian as it gets! A great entertainer for sure!!!
that's ok....it's rather cool to see an americian uploading this....more exposure the better!!
I love this song buddy
I, was there...,think i was ten. Surreal !!!
Good Luck Stompin' Tom Connors if you are nominated for the Juno Awards 2015
+Any Isolated +Bob and Doug McKenzie and was famously pissed with the Junos for giving awards to expat canadian acts. www.cbc.ca/news/arts/stompin-tom-connors-juno-protest-continues-1.1344667
Stompin Tom Amazing!

I'm sure your hanging with Ben Kerr once again, say hi for me. RIP you both.
thats pretty cool man!
Love how that 14 year old boy is using a broom stick, baseball bat and a wooden coat hanger for a bow LOL!
Iconic.
If that concert came out to DVD and Blu-Ray as options they look terrific with so much clarity.
Thanks for posting this. I did not know Stompin' Tom had a sense of humour. Must be a Canadian thing!!!!
@ 48:44 Tom sits at a table and pours a beer. That guy beside him looks like legendary guitar player Roy Buchanan ??
I wish he released squid jiggin grounds
I don't know alick of french but I assume Tom did.
Him and Gordon Lightfoot... I wonder if they ever sang together?
Canadas Man in black!
it's interesting that they've added instrumentation to some songs
For years I tried to find this on DVD or VHS but they never put it out on any format.
The man in the moon is a Newfie
Gotta be backing tracks, unless it's Brockwell playing slide guitar but I'd think Tom would have him on stage rather than playing off it.
Heave n cant be found
Bom b video subbed
Heinz no more in leamington, they left for mexico.
And I have not bought heinous ketchup since.
Sounds like the forgotten rebels
Canada does not look like this anymore.
Sad.
I'm wondering if some of the non-Tom stuff is to backing tracks or if the rest of the backing band is off stage...? Either way this is fantastic!
Oldusername do you or anyone know where I can get this on original VHS maybe old dvd??
I tried to find it also but it was discontinued in the 80's or 90's I'm told :-(
Anyone know the names of the 2 guys on stage with Stompin' Tom?
whosthecoolguy electric guitarist I think is bill Lewis. I didn't know the bass mans name though
whosthecoolguy electric guitar- Bill Lewis. Bass Guitar- Gary Lmpect. At least that's what I saw in the credits.
Bill Lewis and Gary Empey
Are the lead player an bass player still alive ?
Am i wrong in thinking that the stage in this film is actually along the wall on the right hand side of the where the stage is now? I know the last few times I was there, i was thinking that it must've been. because of the position of the support post that you see in the background here.
Did they ever make a statue to honour this great man???
