I have all the time in the world to listen to a Justin Marshall Synopsis, he is absolutely a more centered voice & Insightful, informative & even more importantly has the common touch in his delivery when speaking. I prefer an honest no BS report card analysis & he doesn't disappoint, on ya Marshy.
Agree, get Clarke on the wing and play Telea where he normally plays on the right. Put MacKenzie on the bench and Barrett at 10. If he doesn't trust Barrett then bench instead of MacKenzie and put Plummer there. Jordan at fullback, Ioane and ALB at 13 & 12, Ratima at 9 with Hotham on the bench with Proctor.
More BS cliches from Marshall. Your get better opinions from your Taxi Driver or the local Guy at the Pub. He's just blabbling. He says "the All Blacks shouldn't lose to Argentina" Haha thats why they lost, because of out of date arrogant thinking like that. Which is what Marshall is.
Jordue Barret found wanting on numerous occasions. D Mak problem is as Marshy said moves laterally. He goes for spectacular plays rather than grafting out the hard yards for territory. But it was sweet watching the Argentinians putting it to em.
Springbok fan here, I have the utmost respect for Australia and New Zealand. I grew up watching them dominating teams. I think both teams need time to gel with each other and the new coaching staff. Mistakes will inevitably occur. The Springboks were in these situations early 2000's and then post 2010.
That's right. It swings in roundabouts. Haters have been saying the same thing for years, that the AB's have lost it but they made a world cup final and only lost by the slimmest of margins. It's the start of a new cycle, there'll be losses. The AB's will get back to the top I'm sure. The Boks are enjoying are great period but it won't last forever.
The elephant in the room is selection eligibility. We must be able to select our best players no matter where they are located. Time for a rethink on the existing policy. Frizell and Mounga would make a huge difference.
Let’s face it, Barrett at 10 and Jordan at 15 should probably start. The idea that the bench will rescue you begs the question of why we get into strife in the first place. The selection has been poor, the gameplan much-talked about but seemingly no different to Foster’s regime, the sheer gobbledygook spoken at post match almost condescending to the fans.
totally agree Mackenzie so overated keeps making silly mistakes Razor needs to bench him otherwise expect the same result at Eden Park. Gotta love the way Argentina outplayed the ABs and Razor
r@@zakirmohammed352the only 10 to play anything close to a Northern style is Harry Plummer. The 2024 Blues showed a forward dominant game implemented by coach Vern Cotter. Harry outplayed Damian McKenzie and the Chiefs. Should be given a chance.
This is going to be a very long road for those New Zealanders stuck in the old way of thinking, when it comes to rugby. The tides have turned, and we are simply no longer the dominant force we once were. People can choose to bury their heads in the sand and go on doing the same old routine of whining about what went wrong every time we don't win. But I'd suggest it's not going to end well for them if they do. Personally, I'm enjoying watching games where the outcome isn't predictable. I never understood the so-called joy of watching your team play when you pretty much knew they were going to win every time they played.
Going from best in the world to missing b2b passes into your own goal line to throw a test match is fair reason to say this goes beyond just the worlds catching up
@@J0sh351 Except playing badly isn't something that NZ have never ever done before until now (remember John Hart's All Blacks' side losing 5 tests in 1998?). We've just been lucky enough to get by and either find a way to win when we arguably didn't play that well, or to be able to start afresh the following year because we knew that the opponents would struggle to maintain the strength they had. Today, because the gap is closing, such mistakes make a much bigger difference to the result of games than they used to.
funny how these so called professional and well paid experience players keep failing to deliver and we get to hear all the excuses under the sun. Argentina totally outplayed NZ and Razor have got some real issues to deal with before going to South Africa
One issue is his selection policy. He said Ioane and Finau were dropped on performance, so why was Jordie there. Dmac doesn't seem to be learning so he needs to give someone the chance to show they are better. The forwards need to go forward. If there is difficulty then the 10 needs to give us go forward and field position by tactics and game management, something DMac doesn't seem able to do.
Outplayed by the better side. Our attack needs to change during the game. Our leaders aren't reading the momentum of the game. I know were way better than this, but if we don't have the courage to change things then we will end up with the same result. Let's go Boys...
The Argentinians were definitely the better side. Our problem was that we changed our game plan when it was working. They stuck with theirs. We were up 20 - 8 and then we stopped doing what had put us into that position. That's no leadership from Captain and 10. They are meant to control our game. Especially the 10.
Why do our forwards always seem to catch the ball standing still? They never get any momentum up before hitting the D line. Why can't we have some big boys absolutely steaming onto the pill with bad intentions like in league?
The whole forward pack is gutless. None of them are intimidating or aggressive, Surely we’ve got some Big ugly meat heads in the Rugby system??? What’s going on
We've seen a lot of cross-pollination in terms of coaching, tactics and player fitness, there are no sucker nations any more, it's not like it was 20 years ago when the AB's were no.1 in the world.
I would have thought the last 4-5 years of results would have seen a little bit more humility from the Kiwi media about where things stand in the rugby pecking order, but it seems they can't bring themselves to admit that maybe, just maybe, the rest of the rugby world has caught up, or in some cases surpassed the All Blacks. No, you shouldn't just be beating Argentina any more, the AB's have to earn their wins just like everyone else.
What do you expect them to say? The legacy of the black jersey is extremely sacred. Nobody is denying the game is far more competitive, but the moment we start just accepting mediocracy is when that legacy is permanently tarnished. We will always demand the best from the All Blacks. If that makes you uncomfortable then don't listen to NZ media.
@@ryansmith2553 I'm fine with the Kiwis having standards, but there's also a stubbornness from their media to accept loses from teams they deem beneath them, which is completely unfair to Argentina. The AB's for a long time could rely on their high skills and creativity to get them out of trouble. Now they run out to ideas when things don't go to plan or when teams front up. They're still a good team, but they are now just one of many good teams in the world.
People are quick to forget we were written off all last year and almost won the World Cup. We have dominated the world for over a century. You don’t just erase that with a handful of close losses. So yes, the media still have every right to expect a lot from our team. To think the all blacks will never be back is sheer madness
@@JWLearning the All Blacks should have beaten Argentina. They had a game plan in the first 20 minutes that had them 20 - 8 ahead and they went away from it. That's the 10's job. To run the game. When it changed, the head coach needed to get the word out there to get back to what was working. Argentina deserved to win because they stuck to their game plan and took their chances.
what's with some of our players like Perenara and even worse Savea helping the opposition up, time to harden up, its not as if you 're kicking ass, helping some poor sap up that's 50 points behind, it seems people are quite happy to come second these days. Also when the Argies decided to have a long break near the end of the game by sending someone to Rebel for news boots, Savea should have said to the ref lets get going, instead they didn't even get together make some sort of plan, just stand around individually looking at the grass, great leadership.
We need a crash ball 12 who consistently gets his body between defenders and gets over the gainline CONSISTENTLY. The Argies 12 was terrorizing us. The ABs traditionally pick a ball Playing and kicking 12, almost like having 2 first fives. In fairness it has worked in the past but it isn't working now, we hardly make inroads through the middle anymore. Nonu was our last world class robust 12.

@@stevepasco5850 But at least Carlos made defenses wonder how to stop him, MacKenzie is easy to stop, just don't give him time and space and he just runs across the field compressing our attack. If Perofetta is still injured and he won't use Barrett, go to a traditional 10 with Plummer who can give his outsides space to attack and can kick for territory when we need to.
Agree with most of Justin's critique. The loose forward trio balance is not working. They do not play the attacking side as a cohesive unit. All played the attacking side as individuals. Papali'i was nowhere to be seen on attack and Blackadder was patchy. Ardie can't do it all. Changes are needed this week. Its time to stop repeating the same compromise/mistake that we have been making for six years...moving the world's best 7 to 8. Start Ardie at 7 and put Sititi at 8 where his heft and athleticism can best be exploited. I'd start Cane at 6 to shut down the blindside and add some mongrel at the breakdown...Blackadder and Jacobson (if fit) (otherwise Pinau) on the bench. Peter Lakai is the future at 7 and should be understudy to Ardie. Papali'i can sit this one out. As for the locks, if Tuipolotu is still injured then we should start Vai'i and Darry again. If Tuipolotu is ready to go, then he plays ahead of Vai'i who moves to the bench. Vai'i and the coaches need to take a look at how England use Etoji, and get some of his mongrel and spoiler into Vai'i's game. And he should be used like Etoji to disrupt the opposition's lineouts and be a fourth loosie in the last 30 minutes of games...he has the athleticism. The bench props should be Williams and Tosi this week. As for the backline, TJ is slow off the base and has a labored pass that is not out front to put his first-five on the front foot. His box kicking is not effective. Start Ratima and use Hotham off the bench. Roigard is still the future. DMac is not a starting first-five. His game management is lacking, especially against a rush defense, and his positional kicking has been poor. We need a game manager who can get us playing in the right parts of the park...out of our 22 and into theirs. DMac is a magical player best used as a super-sub to cover FB and first-five if needed. Agree with Justin that we should play Barrett at first-five this week with ALB and Proctor outside him. Wish we had the vision to bring Jacomb in as an understudy to Barrett. Plummer would be a settled place-holder option. Jordie was one dimensional on Saturday and couldn't get over the gain line or get his offloads away. ALB is better able to use a full skill set against a rush defense. Proctor is a specialist center who plays both sides of the ball well. He is much better at seeing space, creating space for his wingers, and distributing the ball than Reiko...who after 3 years is still a power winger who can tackle. Clark starts this week ahead of Talea who, if he plays, they will target again at kick offs and with box kicks. Reece plays again and should be used to feed the ball to a scrum or two and possibly throw to a lineout or two...freeing up a big body to confuse the defense and punch holes. Boks did this very effectively against the Wallabies...coaches (especially MacDonald and Hansen) should watch that game and learn what "innovation" looks like at test level. Jordan at FB. Leon MacDonald and Scott Hansen need to step up this week and show us the promised "innovation"...start by selecting players in their specialist positions...Ardie at 7, Jordan at 15, ALB at 12, Barrett at 10, Proctor at 13...and go from there.
Unfortunately Ardies time as a 7 has passed and he's too small for an 8. Best as impact off the bench. SR had the chance to pick specialists but chose a team of players who can cover multiple positions. Needed Sititi and Sotutu as 8's, Plummer as another 10, he doesn't seem to want to use Barrett, needs a specialist 7, Kirifi or Lakai, maybe both. Has to go with Ratima and Hotham but wouldn't bet on it. Barrett 10, though he's already said he's going with MacKenzie, ALB, Proctor, Telea and Clarke, Jordan at the back. If they target Telea as you say, then they need to move it on to the 10 to kick, or run it up so it can be cleared to halfway.
@@markreilly105 At 1.83m and 107kgs Ben Earl is 5cm shorter than Ardie. Kwagga Smith is only 1.80m and 100kgs and has played 8 for the Boks. So I'm not sure that at 1.88m and 103kgs Ardie is too small to play 8...he did win international player of the year last year in that position. Still, I think he would be even better reverting back to his original specialist position at 7 and making room for Sititi at 8. Sotutu was dropped because he is not consistent and goes missing in matches. Not sure he has the "give no quarter" attitude required to produce consistent results at test level against the better sides.
@@Buster62 I hear what you say about Earl and Smith, however Ardie was able to do the things he did because of the job the other loosies did as they are. Cane and Frizzell allowed Ardie to play a little looser and with Retallic, Whitelock, and Barrett he could work off them. Two years ago, when Cane was injured, everyone raved about Papali'i at 7. Ardie is 188cm and 95kg Sotutu 196cm 118kg. That extra height means we have an extra lineout option and we have seen how good he was all year in the lineout. So because 2 years ago he didn't measure up does that mean we throw him on the scrap heap. That would have meant no Kaino, no Frizzell, Carter had a couple of off years, as did Mealamu, Coles, shall we keep naming ones who did, Nonu. Ardie would be a great impact player but we need to allow Sititi and Sotutu to continue their development or we end up where we are at 12, 4, 5, and 2.
Ardie is the best jackler and go forward we have Sam Cane needs no introduction either won't let the jersey down in doing so opens possibility for the loose forward make-up TJ and his labored one dimensional tactics .pass time is ticking
@@markreilly105 Either the coaches feel that with Ardie, Jacobson and Sititi we have 8 covered or there has to be another reason why Hoskins was not selected. I would suggest that his Instagram tweet of "Most hated" after he was not selected in the initial pre-championship squad (having just completed a grueling super-rugby campaign) will not have gone over well with the coaches as it demonstrated a rather egoistical mindset and disrespectful disdain for the new coaches -- which has no place in the AB environment. If his attitude was healthy he'd have realized they were going to select larger 36-man squads for the Championship and end of year tour, providing him with ample opportunity to resume his AB career. Hoskins squandered his opportunity to make the Championship squad with his Instagram. If I was his agent I'd have chewed his adolescent head off. At 26 years of age its time he grew up and learnt how to deal with disappointment. Maybe the coaches will give him a chance on the end of year tour...but unless he can redeem himself by showing some contrition and maturity...I doubt it. And as for his size: his height is 1.92m and weight 112kgs -- like Kieren Reid.
We don't have a very good squad. We have gone backwards. We have the same backroom coaches. The rest of the world has caught up. The next 4 years will be painful for AB fans
I would debate the great player. So far this year, Ardie has not even been close to his best. Maybe bench him this week to wake him up and give Sititi a try.
I think we can all agree - The Mighty All Blacks dominance for an era has come to an end. They 'were' dominant. The power struggle is up North now. The Tri Nations dominated World Rugby 1995-2019. Its over now. Except the Boks have also moved north. It is another era we witnessing now of rugby.
An All Black fan here. I think it’s still too early to call things to a halt. I can agree that the world has definitely caught up, and SA is the best now, but I think that Razor and the team still have it in them to change the narrative. It’s too early to say “ the all black dominance era is completely done “. New things are coming under a new regime. Give it 2- 5yrs & things can shift quick. It’s a transitional time for NZ and we still have a big say in who stays top and goes down. SA went through up and downs too over the decades so it swings around a lot. NZ are still in the top tier, the north aren’t quite clued up on winning a World Cup ( we came 2nd due to missed kicks and lack of discipline ). We came 2nd when were written off and should not have made the quarters according to many ( given the coaching and internal wars narrative ). I think it’s too premature to overlook everything and to panic. Let’s just relax and let them rebuild. SA rebuilt and now they are the talk of town, it takes time. That’s all.
I'm becoming more convinced that B.Barrett needs to come off the bench to fullback. His observations from the sideline, his clarity, how he comes on without pressure on him already, and the way in which is changes things is different to other players. Jordan didn't make a huge impact but I think he needs to start at 15, then go to wing when BB comes.
@@markreilly105 I'm inclined to give him more time with a more settled team around him. Though it is frustrating at times. He needs to be more consistent across the game, closing them out from 60mins onwards. BB at 10 isn't the answer regardless.
@@Dilmahkana No, I probably agree with that but SR put himself into a corner by not picking a third 10. Plummer would be the obvious one to try or maybe Miller from the Highlanders.
AB's, former players, and their supporters still have not and will not accept that the rest of the world has caught up and passed the ABs. The ABs are not being feard anymore. Kicking SA out of SR was the worst thing for them and the best thing for SA. SA has evolved their game in Europe and brought in Master Tony. More pain to come for NZ rugby. Get used to it.
Is it about time we face the very real possibility that we simply don’t have the cattle? We’ve had some of the best coaches in the world come through and we’re still that team that team that dropped a lions series and got smoke by England in 2019. Hansen, Foster, Schmidt, Plumtree, Ryan, Razor…. and we still look exactly the same with all the same old problems.
@Albert_Br Carlos sat on the bench for the majority of his career to Merts and sometimes wasnt even good enough for the bench and stepped aside for Tony Brown. I think no analysts of the game would pick Spencer over Merts.

Line out was shocking. Can’t understand why some have commented the line out was not bad. Wtf? Forwards seem like half to a full second timing behind the opposition when attacking or defending. Reactive kicking without purpose and inaccurate. The lack of synchronicity. Twenty minutes to go and we are in trouble in most games I watch lately. We used to hear “they need to start well” and then it’s “exit strategy’s” next it’ll be “the breakdown”(SA). When are they going to put it together? Don’t we get the full package anymore? Is it just excuses for players and coaches now? Oh well there’s no one to play cos SA have gone north etc... It seems to me we lack mongrel that the opposition have these days. These guys aren’t aggressive enough. They aren’t scary enough. You have to get wild physical to put the fear into South Africa. We used to do that game after game. Yeah we were good with Ireland and SA at the cup final but geez the rest of the time we’ve looked soft and lack the mentality needed to win. I’m trying to stay positive and give Razor some time. It was like looking at an All Blacks game from some weird alternate dimension.😂
We have to have a bit of arrogance expecting to win every game..otherwise we're average...abezz losing is not ok..not to say great game for the argiees...well deserved ...enjoy 👏
The transition from club coach to international coach isn’t an easy one. The core skill sets are the same but their application and the space and time you have to implement them in is completely different. Crusader tactics and speed of play will always get found out at this level.
Especially when that coach doesn't have Whitelock, Guzzler, A.Smith, Mounga, Frizel... He might of got a few things wrong agreed but he's lost a heck of a lot of talent/experience.
I think this Current All Black side does not have the same caliber of player that they had a few yrs ago. Be honest which player apart from Savea and Bodean Barret would make a world 15 now
@@AffectionateMountainRang-xv8gv Not Ardie. Wouldn't make world 2nd xv. Barrett 🤔 probably not. Maybe try Sititi with Sotutu at 8 and Lakai or Kirifi at 7we would be better placed in the loose forwards.
The big screw up for me was letting the Argentinians score just before halftime. Going to the sheds with a 20-8 lead would have been bloody good I reckon
I find myself agreeing with Marshy for a change! When did DMac last make a break within 15m of a scrum or line out - ala Richie Mo against Ireland at the World Cup. I can’t remember one occasion. DMac’s lateral running simply compresses the opposing defensive line and takes up space for our attack. I love watching DMac in SR,but at international level he is not the ABs answer.

If one or two players underperform then blame the individuals. If the whole team underperforms then, let’s admit it, it is the COACHES. Razor kept saying after past three games that the team was not doing what they did at practices. Looks like the message got through and the players were lost …. as practise did not match reality. The ABs lacked imagination / creativity…. a trait that ABs are well known for. I think Razor forgot that this is not super rugby … it is test level rugby. Coaches forgot that style of play should change through evolution, not revolution. Very disappointed with media. If this was Foster, how would they react? Media … please be honest.
A lot of focus in this chat on adaptability, but the thing that is really killing the ABs is the NPC level of defense. They still score a reasonable number of tries, but theyre letting in too many and giving up the gainline far too easily. If everything else remained the same in this game but the defense was international level they would have cruised to a win.
Too many assistant coaches who is communicating to whom? player's look confused no real game plan + Still playing players out of position? Start with Ratima, Plummer, ALB with Proctor, Clarke and Rico on the wing as they need pace in the backline with Will Jorden at full back
C'mon guys our backs are doing alright considering our forwards can't go forward. It's won up front and our forwards seem scared to hit the ball up. We need more ball carriers up front.
Yup but Robertson won't pick specialists. Didn't pick Sotutu, even though he was the best 8 in Super Rugby, when he could have had 2 international sized 8's with him and Sititi, we have no 6 to pick, Blackadder too small and Finau needs time. We could develop Sititi or Iose as 6's or try Grace but no we ended up with Blackadder.

10 should be able to clear our line and move us around the park. Currently we are trying to play football in our own half, even in our own 22 because our 10 can't run a game. The forwards could be better but your not always going to be on top. Playing in your own half just compounds the problem
It is very simple. At the top of world rugby for so long that they developed a false sense if entitlement - instead of keeping on innovating and developing new players and change their own game. South Africa is the new world powerhouse in rugby.
When plan A is not working on the field, the on field leader is the captain. A good leader will be seen calling the team together and laying down the law. I have never seen Ardie do this, yes he is a lead from the front follow my example leader but when things are not going right the leader brings his deputies together, makes a plan and then lays it down to the troops. These guys sit around and wait for instructions from the water boy.
Wrong captain, wrong 9, wrong 10, wrong 12, wrong 13........play players in position that they are good at, NOT where they wish to play. Just a few thoughts.
D Mac is an impact player when guys are tired. It’s always the same with him in big tests. The spaghetti wiggle step movement doesn’t work in tests with less space and time. He needs to come on with 15min to go. And that’s a maybe. BB should have always been 10 when RM left. He attacks the line directly as Marshy says. Macs touches are really cool but they don’t come off in big tests unless guys are tired. Although TJ has improved this a lot year I feel things just go wrong when he’s at halfback at test level. He’s likeable but Cam Roigard is needy badly.
Dmac has to go. He can't manage a game, can't kick consistently for territory and believes leaving our team to play in our half, even in the 22, is okay. He needed to take control at the kick offs, and get us out of there. When we weren't going anywhere, use your kick to put us in better position. He had all Super Rugby and 4 tests to work that out.
If Noah Hotham can be chosen as halfback then Cam Miller can be chosen as first-five. He shouldn’t be overlooked just because he plays for the Highlanders and has to wait another 2 years for the rest of NZ to recognise him. Choose the next generation now!!
Miller and Plummer are two more traditional 10's who can run a game and kick to clear their line and tactically for territory. MacKenzie can do none of those. The Blues showed the benefit of it and with better forwards The Highlanders will too. The All Black coaches need to open their eyes. Dmac is not the answer to any question.
Barrett at 10 and Jordan at 15. Savea at 7, recall Sotutu at 8 and Jacobson or Finau at 6. Tele'a and Clarke at wing. Ratima as halfback and Patrick T. if fit paired with Darry. Dropping Sotutu was a mistake. Hope Jason Ryan can admit that.
Yup, bring in Sotutu at 8, if they won't swallow their pride for the sake of the team then put Sititi there. Ardie is too small at 8 and is no longer a 7. Papali'i is the 7 unless they admit their errors and bring in Lakai and/or Kirifi. Best fit could be Sotutu, Lakai and maybe Sititi at 6. Either way we don't currently have an international 6 so where's the harm. He would be better than Blackadder.
The real elephant in the room was no FORWARD movement, starting from what? The FORWARDS. No communication, no drive, no KAHA! If you tried to throw a blanket over them you would or might get 2 players, thats how loose all the forwards played, this is how you never get clean ball no matter who you put at 10.
Every game this year has been extremely ugly with damien mc kenzie playing 10 thinks hes yhe only player kicking good ball away time and time again hes the most overated all black ever shouldnt even be in the reserves
Your "OLD" ABS were coached, to play 2 or 3 modules, and they were 80% successful, and UNDERSTAND rugby, and there positions, during play,! Saturdays team, instead, to try and control the flow of the game, They got bewildered, and openly show signs of panic.!! Imagine, a AB panic. Key players for Saturday,?? Barrett 10 , L Brown and Blackadder.!!
Blackadder is not an international 6 or 7. Finau may not be yet but at least he is a proper 6. With the issues they are having there I would like to see Sititi as they won't play him at 8. He has the skills and is more explosive
How many coaches does it take for cohesion 😮 if things continue on current trajectory the NZRU may well pull the team of coaches behind Razor as they did with Foster ushering in Schmidt and Ryan which got us to a RWC Final I think most nzders starting to question the rational behind So many technicians I wonder if there's a gear recovery coach..
It's almost like the ABs have gone woke. The jersey in itself is a joke, and so many of these guys are more worried about their looks rather than the history of the All Blacks. Even the coach is a joke, his name is Scott Robinson, not razor, and the guy needs a haircut, which is just as messy as his game plan. And what's with 2 vice captains, that's a freakin joke. One captain that can think in trying situations should be it! Cody needs to step up, Lomax spends too much time wrestling off the ball, S.Barrett should be blind side with cane open, TJ should be told he's holding the spot for when Roigard is fit, B.Barrett (two times rugby player of the year) at first five, ALB, 2nd, J.Savea centre, Ioane and Talea wings and Jordan at fullback. Bench should at least be Aumua (if not starting) Tamaiti, and Tu'ungafasi, (newell needs to harden up), Sititi or Papalii, Ratima, Mackenzie and J.Barrett. Darry was probably the only highlight for the ABs, he just needs to bulk up with more muscle... so we need another lock to go with Darry, a loosey that can follow in Canes footsteps, and a few more hard running backs... and a coach with a frakin clue. Not responding when the going started to get tough and leaving the boys under pressure shows signs of a weak coaching staff...
@@rosswilliams2303 I just think he would compliment ALB. If you think back, Tana Umaga started at wing, Ma'a Nonu started at wing. Julian is the leading (or second) try scorer in super rugby ever. He now plays centre for Pacifica. Draw and pass the whole way through the backline would make that combinations lethal. Ioane has pace to burn and his size makes him lethal on the wing. B. Barrett to ALB, to Savea, to either wing, is pretty brutal. And Will Jordan picking his spot to attack from that line... just saying
Beaudy has been crap at 10 for years. His goal kicking is terrible and would lose a game if relying on that. Dmac is our only reasonable kicker and you don't take your best goal kicker off.
You don't pick a player cause he can kick goals. You pick him for his all round game. That's why they should have picked Plummer in the squad. More traditional 10, doesn't panic, and can kick whether it be place or from hand. He also knows when to which MacKenzie doesn't seem to.
You replace a not so good coach with another who is inexperienced at this level, and who continues along the same vein as the previous incumbent. Playing players out of position, retaining players who should be dropped, failing to implement and imbue the players with, a recognisably strategic game plan. Then surround yourself with a plethora of different coaching staff to confuse things further, but also to spread the blame when things go wrong. Only upside is as long as these results continue we won't have to witness the silly breakdancing.
I am from SA and we need NZ and Aus to be strong..... You are only as strong (and stronger than) as your weakest apponent. So I'll leave a comment here to that effect..... Who is NZ's weakest opponent. Your strongest opponent is yourselves at club rugby. It's logic, Australia should be getting stronger and NZ weaker.... Aus isn't getting stronger because no money is allocated to rugby in Aus, this becomes a vicious circle for NZ that you need to get out of. I don't know how, but you need to!
Honestly the new coach RAZOR well his name is SCOTT ROBERTSON, he needs a new wig either that or a decent haircut. He’s not the miracle coach everyone thought he was. Just everything about the team was looking too tired to bother. Good luck for this Saturday’s game
Too many chop and changes Worried about who goes where. Play the players in positions. So they can get comfortable. Its like expecting players to multitask. Then when pressure hits, oops. I thought I was playing first five, sorry buddy you are now the fullback, then, back to first five. Make up your minds? And pick the players correctly
The ratio on rugby podcasts for congratulating Argentina are about 99 % from kiwis and you can go and check them and do some home work before generalising the public of New Zealand . If you really understand the Allblacks make up of players there from farming rural back grounds and religious backgrounds and have been since the Collin Meads days . A lot of them are actually quite shy and quiet and we’re sorry NZ doesn’t have the same political history as youres to pronounce to the world look where we come from attitude . I’m proud of who they are and how they act as ambassadors for New Zealanders and we are entitled as people to think they should be way way better than they currently are . I think getting a winger to throw the ball into the line out to make a mockery of Australia is the most arrogant thing I’ve ever seen at international level in the history of rugby .
Why exactly should you not lose that test match to Argentina are you bigger than them, are you faster than them,do you want it more, are your systems better no evidence of any of that oh wait I know because your (THE ALL BLACKS) like seriously what makes you better than them other than your history you guys can’t even sell out a home ground the South Africans are selling out away grounds I get times are tough I get it but I’m pretty sure the rand is weaker than your currency and divided between more people nobody went to that game because your fans think it is an easy win and players are arrogant and lose focus against teams they think they are supposed to beat your players are more arrogant than the English which says a lot considering on all available evidence you at the same level as them barely beating them at home

I thought Razor would bring a different way of playing? I didn't see that? The bench offered very little
It's definitely different. Now we have a 10 who doesn't know himself what he's going to do 😂
Players aren't there.
No Barrett’s even worse at 10. Bench is clearly his best position.
💯 Agree! Maybe a case of too little too late with Barrett. Horse has already bolted.
So what if barret gets inj? Then what
r@@zakirmohammed352the only 10 to play anything close to a Northern style is Harry Plummer.
I never understood the so-called joy of watching your team play when you pretty much knew they were going to win every time they played.
good onya
Well said. Also, look at the under 20’s. France, England, SA are ahead of them in that department
Today, because the gap is closing, such mistakes make a much bigger difference to the result of games than they used to.
good interview Martin....
funny how these so called professional and well paid experience players keep failing to deliver and we get to hear all the excuses under the sun.
Not enough Mongrel particularly in the contact. Can't dominate and intimidate your opponent. Basic AB stuff.
Yeah just going thru the motions aye bro just another day another dollar 💵 👎
Why do our forwards always seem to catch the ball standing still? They never get any momentum up before hitting the D line. Why can't we have some big boys absolutely steaming onto the pill with bad intentions like in league?
@tinymahuta Yeah same old shit bruv they never double up either and hit the line on attack with 2 big Forwards together smashing into the defense line
The whole forward pack is gutless. None of them are intimidating or aggressive, Surely we’ve got some Big ugly meat heads in the Rugby system??? What’s going on
@@ManaBlack208 You mean like the Blues did all season?
We've seen a lot of cross-pollination in terms of coaching, tactics and player fitness, there are no sucker nations any more, it's not like it was 20 years ago when the AB's were no.1 in the world.
Keep it simple, do you job, tackle, tackle, tackle trust your team mates to do their job.
@JoeHarker-vp5lqyeh true. The game was there to be won. ABs normally would have wasted the Argies. We’ve slipped a lot. They ain’t that good atm.
Exactly. No aggression. This is a WOKE ABs team
I agree Jordie has to go but the closest we have is ALB.

Softies. This is a WOKE ABs team.

That’s all.

I said last year that the AB pack were soft. They go hit and cold imo but lack the usual tenacity expected from ABs.
It’s a coaching problem
The talent is there
Razor was hurt ffs
Razor out of his depth. He has international expérience. Bring us jamie Joseph vern cotter
The arrogance of the Kiwis. You don't have a right to win every test match. That type of statement that the host made is telling.
You're english?
Be honest which player apart from Savea and Bodean Barret would make a world 15 now
@@AffectionateMountainRang-xv8gv don't think bueden would make a world 15
@@AffectionateMountainRang-xv8gv Not Ardie. Wouldn't make world 2nd xv. Barrett 🤔 probably not. I can't see any would but if the coach would pick players who were specialists at a position, Ardie really isn't an 8, we would be in a better position. A properly developed 6 as we don't have one.
Big tests call for big players 9 Ratima 10 Barret 11 Clarke 12 Barret 13 Ioane 14 Reese 15 Jordan
12 Barrett is the problem
The AB inability to create space for the lethal Rieko is the issue they rather dropped him to the bench than create play for him
@@johannesapril2590 not only that he is the best at cover defense with his speed, he has saved us numerous times in the past, while poor wee Damian still playing touch rugby.
@@johannesapril2590 Agree totally. Barrett gives hospital passes, or misses the player completely, and they drop the guy outside him. Must be because he's vc. More traditional 10 was needed maybe Plummer but he went for Havilli as a midfielder, because he plays multiple positions, and players who were specialists in positions. Sititi and Sotutu at 8, Lakai and Papali'i at 7. MacKenzie and Plummer at 10 with Barrett. Backline Jordan, Telea, Ioane, ALB, Clarke, MacKenzie (should be Barrett but he's already said he's picking him), Ratima. Bench Hotham, Barrett and Proctor.
And too busy getting hair transplants
Smoked in the forwards again, pack is too small.Put Ardie at 7 and bulk up the muscle everywhere else and go through the middle.Play 5 locks if thats all the beef youve got. Innovate.
Ireland beat S.A up front, quit carrying on about the backs...3 worldclass halfbacks for next world cup...meanwhile S.A will have 15 monster forwards for next W.C.😂 The best forward pack wins...backs going backwards = losing...is it too obvious?
I seem to remember ABs had a heavier forward pack when the combined weights of both forwards packs were displayed on TV.
@@Knowyourintent exactly, and if you look at the stats (facts) SA had the smallest and lightest pack out of NZ, SA, france and ireland.
Our 9, 10, and 12, need to move on. When fit Tuipuloto at 4 Darry at 5 and SB at 6, Sititi at 8. Ardie is too small for an international 8 and no longer a 7 so his best place is impact off the bench.
Our forwards are just as big but they are athletes not power forwards, this is all a result ot stupid super rugby. Our forwards are used to basically secure the ball and then get it out to the wings no matter what whether we pass or do the wipers kick. The blues played proper rugby and the chiefs played expansive and got smoked. You would think that these coaches would see this but no they just have carried in with basically the same game plan
@@tobymeredith8069 You would think so but maybe it's just too basic for them to realise. Big 8 (Sotutu or Sititi) big 6 (Ioane except he's gone to Japan, Finau) big tackler and running 7 to complement them (Papali'i and Lakai, maybe Savea.). How hard is that.
Justin Marchelle never played in a WC rugby final. If he is worth his metal he would approach the AB's with something.Like Dan Carter, Richie Mccaw or Ben Smith did.Highlighting stuff from the sideline behind mic's won't help the cause.

@@philliproberts7294 Definitely. I don't have a problem with Beauden as backup because his experience will be good till our 10 gets some. Mackenzie can't control a side and he showed that in SR. Some say he deserves his place on place kicking alone and he has laid on 4 of our tries, but someone who can put their team in an attacking position, and get them out of trouble, as well as not panic, is what's required. Another option would be Miller from the Highlanders, now they've let Fergus get away.

Start with Ratima, Plummer, ALB with Proctor, Clarke and Rico on the wing as they need pace in the backline with Will Jorden at full back
No mention of DNA?
Maybe. Just maybe. Just a very small change that the ABs are just not good enough.
The All Blacks are thinking too much. They just need to be more aggressive in all round play. They were not physical enough
The answer simple our forwards got a hiding nothing wrong with the backs
We are living in no man's land by being overcoached during the week and hoping the players are smart enough to play the plan...while team's like SA are being coached play by play continuously....
Savea and TJ were soft ASF and their heads werent in it. Which is unacceptable in Savea's case because he's the captain. Those two were helping Argentine players up off the deck throughout the match at stoppages of play and you compare that too how the Argentine's were clearly up for the game its just dumb rugby.
Exactly I get the feeling Ardie s not happy with Razor over what happened to his friend Foster 😮

The forwards didnt front up.halfback and dmac always under pressure. Not the backs fault.
10 should be able to clear our line and move us around the park. Currently we are trying to play football in our own half, even in our own 22 because our 10 can't run a game. The forwards could be better but your not always going to be on top. Playing in your own half just compounds the problem
Unfortunately, D'Mack seemed to be involved in almost every bad play there was aside from TJ's kicking and the final lineout.
I don't think there's any cheese going down that route about 'no scrums'... as they were ahead at half time, regardless...
Just a few thoughts.
... and how would you do it champ?!
BB at 10, Jordan at 15. Boks are experimenting with Kolbe all over the place - why not DM @ 9?
D Mac is an impact player when guys are tired. It’s always the same with him in big tests. The spaghetti wiggle step movement doesn’t work in tests with less space and time. He needs to come on with 15min to go. And that’s a maybe. BB should have always been 10 when RM left. He attacks the line directly as Marshy says. Macs touches are really cool but they don’t come off in big tests unless guys are tired. Although TJ has improved this a lot year I feel things just go wrong when he’s at halfback at test level. He’s likeable but Cam Roigard is needy badly.
@@TheJunglecrab I remember Hansen saying years ago that DM's final position on the ABs would be 9

AB KEEP WITH FOZZY THINKING, JORDEN 15, DM 10, ALB AND RIEKO 12 & 13, PROCTER SUB, AWESOME BB SUPER SUP.
@@markreilly105 Exactly this.
Jesus. Why arent you advising the coaching staff,
Brilliant insights by Mr Marshall as always. Super rugby is currently NZ rugby downfall. Test rugby is a diffirent animal.
New Zealand needs Richie at 10 finish
The real elephant in the room was no FORWARD movement, starting from what? The FORWARDS. No communication, no drive, no KAHA! If you tried to throw a blanket over them you would or might get 2 players, thats how loose all the forwards played, this is how you never get clean ball no matter who you put at 10.
Where is the Reid tackles no man
Every game this year has been extremely ugly with damien mc kenzie playing 10 thinks hes yhe only player kicking good ball away time and time again hes the most overated all black ever shouldnt even be in the reserves

All comes down to Super 14
You want to start the guy who threw away our chances to get back in the lead ?
No credibility
Cool read 😂 hey what’s with J Savea at centre?😱
@@rosswilliams2303 I just think he would compliment ALB. If you think back, Tana Umaga started at wing, Ma'a Nonu started at wing. Julian is the leading (or second) try scorer in super rugby ever. He now plays centre for Pacifica. Draw and pass the whole way through the backline would make that combinations lethal. Ioane has pace to burn and his size makes him lethal on the wing. B. Barrett to ALB, to Savea, to either wing, is pretty brutal. And Will Jordan picking his spot to attack from that line... just saying
@@WKSchwenke yeah ok i can see your points there👍
Beaudy has been crap at 10 for years.
Q paso le ganaron los pumas?
You replace a not so good coach with another who is inexperienced at this level, and who continues along the same vein as the previous incumbent. Playing players out of position, retaining players who should be dropped, failing to implement and imbue the players with, a recognisably strategic game plan. Then surround yourself with a plethora of different coaching staff to confuse things further, but also to spread the blame when things go wrong. Only upside is as long as these results continue we won't have to witness the silly breakdancing.
Just think new AB coach is confused...
I am from SA and we need NZ and Aus to be strong..... You are only as strong (and stronger than) as your weakest apponent.
So I'll leave a comment here to that effect..... Who is NZ's weakest opponent.

Aus isn't getting stronger because no money is allocated to rugby in Aus, this becomes a vicious circle for NZ that you need to get out of. I don't know how, but you need to!
