- Fran has to choose between her ex Danny's proposal and her life with the Sheffields.
From Season 1 Episode 21, 'Frannie's Choice'. Through Val, Fran learns that her ex- fiancee, Danny, is single. He asks Fran to marry him. Fran thinks the offer through and eventually agrees to marry him. She has to leave the Sheffields to be with Danny, everyone is really sad about this. Fran ultimately choses to stay with the Sheffields and dumps Danny.

Brighton's reactions always makes me cry (especially the part not shown in the kitchen when he says "Fran's leaving us"). You can tell how profound of an effect Fran already had on him at that point. I also love when Niles says, "Maybe you've gotten a little smarter".
Brighton was the only one who called Fran, "Mom," after she and Maxwell got married. I have always loved how he came to love her as such, especially in his troublemaking days.

It’s an interesting take to never depict Danny through Frans Eyes. We only hear what Fran enjoys about him without ever getting to see what it is she sees in him.
Whatever Fran saw in Danny is a mystery in itself!

Geez.....had me going for a while there. Danny was a real ''useless" kind of a man, if you could call him a man. Maxwell was always 'the ONE'.. so what's there to think over. Danny was a simpleton thru & thru. Maxwell was the real 'Romeo' in this sitcom. Just would have liked to see The Nanny' keep going on toshow more of their fairy tale married life. It came to an abrupt end after the wedding episode. (not fair to the audience)

There is literally no reason to make a new Season.
No, please don't! The show is perfect as it is. We have seen Max and Fran becoming a couple, getting married and having babies. We have seen Niles and CC becoming a couple and getting married. We have seen the children growing up and Maggie getting married. There's simply not much left to tell that would catch anyones attention. Besides, more than 20 years have passed since the finale episode was produced.
I think they may be hinting at something but don’t know if it’s a new season, spin off, reunion or something.
@@thereseclairecreates Fran said a couple years ago that they are doing a broadway musical of The Nanny based on the series and they were in the process of writing it, and part of the deal is that she can't do anything with the show until AFTER that has completed its run. So given that it hasn't even started yet, it's gonna be a long while I think, till we see anything else.
