Lore doesn’t affect gameplay, but it is very very enjoyable because they lean into it so hard it’s practically jumping the shark, but it’s so committed to the bit that’s it’s amazing. In this case for Lore, this game is supposed to take place in the “The first age, the first battle” where DoomGuy became the Slayer fully, a literal superweapon against Hell. Basically a prequel to Doom 2016. Also the Fur Cape and all is because in this game the Slayer is the King of the Night Sentinels, a feudal(ish) society that he stumbled into and beat his way to the top for being just unstoppable
I probably won't even play the new Fable, but I really like how the MC looks. Her face is kind of... very normal? As in, she looks like an actual person you might see on the street. I immediately recognized her from a screenshot I've seen some time ago, and I didn't even know where it was from.
Can't believe people got mad at that. Like the joke of that trailer was that the giant describing heros as extremely beautiful, and loved by all and the mc was just average looking at got called a prick by a random person.

You know how I think the trailer would have been better? If they took out that "Scrimblo - the hunter" "blorbo - the sentinel" stuff, the second I saw that without knowing it was dragon age I was "aight, garbage game, got it"
Team Cherry is very much so in the "we could make it a little better if" phase because the project leads are haunted by expectations. It also is just huge. Hornet's movement is faster, but the world is both bigger and more dense with content and systems. Unfortunately, even though they're not crunching per se, they are very stressed out about it.

in defence of this DA cinematic trailer... since they probably had little time for actual development (scrapping many ideas, multiplayer>singleplayer) and so this trailer suffered as a result, they probably did the same thing as Inquisition did with one of its cinematic trailers where all the heroes face off against the red lyrium dragon with some epic music with no relevance to the main plot
and my last comment, im so getting south of mightnight, yeah call me bias, but a game where takes place in the swamps of luisiana with black south representation and voice actors using slangs, in a fantastical enviorment is like a coca cola in the desert, this game looks fantastic and I'm so hoping there's more trailers for it

It's a world in which mages get magical lobotomies if they can't control their powers because they can literally turn into hosts for evil demons/spirits. It's a world in which women kidnapped by Darkspawn (Dragon Age's Orc stand-ins) are fed Demonic Corruption/Taint in order to bloat themselves and become brood mothers to pump out Darkspawn warriors, where there are frequent religious crusades, demonic incursions and it's, well, dark fantasy. Which you get none of that tone in that trailer which looks like D&D/Marvel/Fortnite in tone. Like there's a character who jumps through The Fade, which is the realm of spirits and is the location of the Golden City of The Maker (God), and the original sin of mankind was physically entering the fade and unleashing the darkspawn taint on the lands of men and... she's just jumping through it like it's Portal, happy as can be. She's committing the original sin that doomed mankind in order to fast travel.
State of decay is such a fun and intriguing game that sadly was overshadowed by xbox being a failure of a console, Hopefully steam can give this game a change cause unlike many zombie games, this game is what every Walking Dead tv show fan wanted, a game where people are more then just blank slate and conflicts of interest happen, a game where a mistake take can cause perma dead and loose a member of your survivers team, where the dead of a loved one, son, daughter, friend or lover can cause problems for the other members and your home, there's more to state of decay then what people realize
the only issue with AC shadows that i have is that its a shame that it's not only an assassin's stealth parkour game. it looks like you are going to have to play as the action combat playstyle (samurai) as well, which ive never been a huge fan of.
It's nice hearing you being positive about dragon age. I thought it the art style looked good even as a long time fan but most people I see are upset about it. Honestly I thought this fit considering it's Varic narrating it. If you told him to make a trailer this is what he'd come up with 100%. They seem to really want to focus on the party and putting a team together which this does well I think. Also considering BG3 is the best game in the genre right now and will not be topped by anything I'm fine with them doing something different this time.
i am so ready for the new fable game, perfect dark looks interesting im just hoping it doesn’t devolve into primarily gun play and doesn’t have unnecessary monsters like thief 2014 did, that pissed me off and stopped my playthrough. it pretty much looks like the only parts of Starfield i enjoyed, those being the corporate espionage and going undercover as a space pirate. Avowed looks fun, i like that it’s not just pure mage combat, i cried every time bethesda’s name came up and it wasn’t ES6 tho
I dislike the way Assassin Creed has developed. It really is an Action Combat game without the Assassin part. But that has been the last few games. The part with the Kunoichi looked quite nice tho.

It depresses me that the boldest vision for a far-flung future cannot imagine a weapon more interesting than a re-skinned AR-15. Like, if you're gonna do sci-fi shooters, the "sci" part of the genre's name oughta mean something, and given that FPS games USED to be incredibly, wildly creative with their weapon loadouts until the rise of CoD and Halo, it's even more disappointing.

I really don't think he's very much like Dorian at all. Like. He's a mage with a moustache, but they don't look like the same kind of character _at all_ to me. Dorian is this flamboyant out-and-proud upper class failson, he loves an open coat and a lot of his fits demonstrate asymmetry and a sense of rebellion. The Necromancer looks much more restrained, refined, elegant, mannered, and much more relaxed than Dorian typically does (that boy is always on edge). Like, there's some superficial similarity, but I don't think those character seem like the same kind of guy.

Cod just gives me a sence of disgust, and honestly outside of chuds, do this generation even care about a greedy shovanistic military game? because what I have seen is that people love to larp about militarism but their forums, search history and backgrounds paint a different picture, people are even more fake on the internet then previous gens, so I would not be surprised if cod flops cause people wants more satire Helldivers 2 waky moments then "look a game made for real men" Ready or not came out, nobody talks about it, and even the people shouting wokeness don't play it

MGS 3 is a game I vould play till the heat death of the universe. It was my first Metal Gear game and I couldnt be happier that it was.
Doom going full on medieval fantasy looks like a fucking great time. Easily the best part of the showcase and not even close.

the reason why they closed tango studios was because of the acquisition, they spent lots of money and had to pay the shareholders.
